Heroes of Might and Magic cleanup

Continuing from ATT. Thread title probably should have been "Needs Help:".

1. Heroes of Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic Ashan are split despite being one franchise, is it really necessary? Heroes of Might and Magic Ashan doesn't have "sub-series wide" examples and isn't that different from the main series (it's still *is* the main series) to require a page for itself. I mean, even Touhou Project isn't split into PC 98-Windows or Canon-Fanon subpages. It's not like King's Bounty, which is an actual spin-off series from Heroes of Might and Magic.

Heroes of Might and Magic covers games from 1 to 7. Heroes of Might and Magic Ashan covers games from 5 to 7. If the overlap isn't obvious already, Heroes of Might and Magic page also has examples that only happen in 5-7. Either each game needs its own page, or, like I'm suggesting, all examples from the subpages should be moved to the main one.

A test shows that two pages together make about 150000 symbols, so it's not like there's going to be a too-long issue if merged, and Heroes of Might and Magic Ashan has only 37 wicks versus Heroes of Might and Magic's 773, so cleaning wouldn't take long either.

2. Heroes of Might and Magic has a lot of plot details and dev notes in the description that should probably be moved to the Recap page, Creator.New World Computing and Creator.Nival or cut completely.

3. More like confirmatiom than a question. Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes and Dark Messiah are not listed in Heroes of Might and Magic but have some free-form mention in Heroes of Might and Magic Ashan's description. Is it okay for me to add them to the Games list? Ditto for Heroes of Might and Magic Online, Might and Magic: Heroes Kingdoms and ​Danse Macabre DLC for VI.

4. Dark Messiah (105 wicks) should be renamed to Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, or rather the redirect should be reversed, since it's literally its title, it is not "also known" as Dark Messiah.

Made a merged page: Sandbox.Heroes Of Might And Magic. If it looks good I'd want to replace the original page and cut the Ashan one.

I agree on a merge honestly. Both pages contain examples from the other parts of the franchise anyway, so even the actual purpose of having them separated is not being fulfilled.

Another bump for more thoughts. For big moves like that I'd rather have some sort of consensus. All that is needed is to replace the page with the sandbox and dewick Heroes of Might and Magic Ashan. The topic of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic's proper name feels like a separate issue. Also now that I think of it the thread title is kinda misleading since it's not how cleanup threads work.

Gonna repeat myself then (as one of the handful of people who is probably really into HOMM on the site :P) and say that I agree with the merge.

No point in splitting a page that is already not too big, not to mention the normal Heroes of Might and Magic page is already full of Examples that should have been in Heroes of Might and Magic Ashan.

I personally think Dark Messiah Of Might And Magic is a better title (as it is the full title and doesn't exceed the length limit) than the shortened version, but that's its own thing.

I appreciate your support, but because This Is a Wiki, I need more than 2 people giving "okay" to do something like that, or a mod's opinion. I probably need to PM people who've edited on the page. Actually, I think I'll go ask the specifics of how Short Term works since I'm not sure.

It is done. Some other redirects noticed, for future reference. Looking at it, some examples do need some quality check, but that's for another time (next).
