So where can I go to see more?

Where there's life, there's hope.I would find it odd for them to have such a long prerelease build-up with absolutely nothing new beyond universal additions like the fairy type, but then, between my distaste for going back to old systems and the fact that my only Sinnoh game was Pearl, this will still probably be worth it for me as an individual.
SoundCloudThe key lies in waiting and not trashing the games a mere hour after the announcement.

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Ah yes the "wait and see" argument.
Where there's life, there's hope.Yeah. It's what level-headed people tend to do before declaring something RUINED FOREVER.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Done.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The "wait and see argument" is what reasonable people do with everything. Disregarding it only makes you look bad.
I don't see anything worthwhile so far so I'll wait until I see the good stuff until I say anything good (or not-negative) about it.
How's that for "wait and see"

Where there's life, there's hope. Then hold back from saying anything.
Relentless negativity gets pretty old after a while.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Hey, what was the matter with the DP dex and makes people lean towards the Platinum dex? Because it didn't feature those new evolutions like Porygon-Z, Froslass, and Magnezone and you had to wait until you got the National Dex until you could get those guys?
Ruminating on it because I didn't want to be a spoilsport. But I just can't deny it, the style just does not work here. It doesn't have the depth and fidelity that something like Link's Awakening had to pull off that look well and yeah, it DOES look cheap.
And like, we got a remake of a much older game that looks fantastic. Maybe it's just me, but LGPE had a great fusion of that chibified, top down approach and using more modern models and styles. And ORAS worked fine with using XY's engine
This doesn't look fine, it just looks kinda cheap and offputting. The texture, rendering and stylization that made it work in LA just isn't there here
I can't say I'm looking thrilled. This looks to be a Link's Awakening/LGPE situation where they're going to charge 60 dollars for decade year old games with a new coat of paint and some compatibility upgrades and not nearly enough extra content (honestly barely any) to justify that pricepoint.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceWait and see has not worked out in Pokemon's favor for the last few years. We judge what we're given, and if a lot of people get a bad first impression there's an issue somewhere.
This thread isn't made with the "hold back from saying anything" in mind.
Where there's life, there's hope.As much as I love Diamond and Pearl, their original Pokédex was kind of terrible. Somewhat infamously, there were a grand total of two Fire-type lines in the dex, one of them being the Fire starter. This meant that if you did not pick Chimchar at the start, you had to make do with Ponyta. There were also some outright bizarre choices, such as giving Tangela a new evolution and then not making it findable in the games at all. For a while you had to trade one from the GBA games if you wanted to get a Tangrowth.
It is also not a complaint thread.

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Cautious optimism and pessimism are things, guys. Don't just decide you're gonna love/hate a game after just a trailer. I don't think anyone's doing the former, but a looooot of y'all certainly seem to be leaning toward the latter.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.DP had a smaller regional Dex than RS, and didn't include plenty of the new Pokemon; hell, you couldn't get Tangela (and thus Tangrowth) without transfering one by Pal Park.
I certainly don’t think I hate it - I’d say I’m decidedly in the wait and see crowd. I do think that everyone needs to calm down, though. I don’t there’s any need for relentless pessimism, but there’s also no need for getting down on people who just aren’t feeling it right now.
Oh God! Natural light!I'd never said that I'd hate it. What I'm saying is all footage so far makes it less appealing than the DS original.
If VGC will take place in BDSP, then I'll buy it at launch.

Where there's life, there's hope.I bet you this is gonna end up better than it looks, while Legends will be the stinker. Monkey's Paw dictates that will happen./
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Maybe. If they scrap the hm system then I'd say this will be the most tolerable main games since SWSH

Where there's life, there's hope. The overworld style has grown on me but I'm still not really a fan of the inbattle graphics. I'm going to wait and see more but for now I'm more hype for Legends Arceus though I'm hearing that's open world so that optimism is with a fair amount of caution.
I don't hate it either and hell, I'm not even as sour on it as others here. It's just I'm seeing a Link's Awakening Switch/LGPE situation and it's not exactly thrilling me. I mean, it's DP, it's gonna be fun regardless of what's up - but I feel the hawking about how faithful it is implies that it's going to change or add very little (akin to LGPE) and I just don't have the energy to get hyped up for a game that's a high res version of a decade old DS game being sold for double the price.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceAt least LGPE has some neat character redesigns, and the competitive scene is... unique to say the least.
Where there's life, there's hope.
That you've seen.
