I vaguely remember a Real Life example of Just Train Wrong about a massive Russian/Soviet steam engine that destroyed every switch it went over and derailed whenever it moved.

The example has gone missing an indeterminate amount of time ago (although I think it's not more than 4 years). Apparently somebody deleted it. But why? And when? I went through the page's history way back to year 2016 but couldn't find the edit.

Humankind is like a train. No matter how powerful the locomotive is, it can only travel as fast as its slowest car allows it to.

I mean, if it's not in the edit history no one's gonna be able to tell you the reason. That's the only record anyone has of any edits to the wiki.

I think I might've found it:

  • Another one from Soviet Russia: The most drive wheels ever on an unarticulated engine is 14, 7 on each side. The middle wheels had no flanges so they could come off the rails when going around corners, and four of the seven driving wheelsets could be shifted laterally. Still, the engine was way too big and heavy for the rails even with 22 wheels, it destroyed every single switch it ran over, and it derailed whenever it moved. It did qualify for Awesome, but Impractical.

This was deleted with the edit reason "This is Awesome, but Impractical, not this trope".
