The use of a completely evil character with no redeeming qualities often just becomes narrative shorthand for the purpose of the creator to enact a Generic monolithic bad guy and often devolves into lazy writing. Are there more than a few characters that are depicted, as well, actual people with well-considered personalities that are nevertheless purely evil instead of a generic Palpatine overlord? The first thing that comes to mind is Griffith from Berserk, followed by Light Yagami.

Complete Monsters by their very nature must have actual depth. Ones that don't are Generic Doomsday Villain and don't count for the CM trope.

But, ya know. Make sure the character's you're mentioning are classified as CM and aren't just evil by your standards.

Why do people keep doing this? Trope Talk isn't for random chit chat about your favorite tropes. Take that to Yack Fest.
