Chapter 388: Touya
The chapter begins with Kendo immobilizing the AFO spies with her hands and informing the other heroes that they have messed with the system, so the shelters will not move again. The heroes then start evacuating all civilians back to the surface
The U.A. robots are there too and are ready to take people to other safe spaces, all they have to do is give them an order. The heroes instruct the civilians not to look the other way to avoid seeing Dabi's giant heat sphere, but the Todorokis ignore that warning
Rei makes a worried expression and immediately gets in one of the bike-shaped robots, asking Natsuo to protect his sister. She then asks the robot to take her to the source of that heat, the robot says that he's there to follow the human's orders and the flashback ends
Back to the present, the robot has been totally destroyed by the heat and "died" doing a thumbs-up. Rei screams "TOYA" as her face continues to burn. Endeavor wonders if she's keeping herself alive by using her ice on herself and plans to do the same thing with Toya
Endeavor tells her to back off because she will burn to death, but she responds by saying that the same goes to them. Dabi starts mumbling "moooom" and Rei apologizes to him. Next he says "Natsu-kun, Fuyumi-chan..." and Rei realizes that the two of them have come too
She says they shouldn't be there, but Fuyumi says she doesn't want to lose anyone else. Natsuo remembers when he used to ignore Toya's complaints, imagines himself properly talking to him as a kid, and yells "stop causing so much trouble, stupid brother!"
Endeavor thinks to himself that if he uses more fire to propel them upwards, Toya's body will reach its limit. He asks "please, don't take them too..." and we see a vision of all of them in a what-if future, with a grown-up Toya wearing Dabi's jacket. End of chapter

This is one hell of a therapy session.
Okay, the robots getting Rei up there makes more sense than her rocketing up on her own. Now we just need Iida and Shoto to show up, probably gonna be the ones who catch the rest of the falling family with an ice slide in a Big Damn Heroes moment.
And while having Kendo take out the spies is awesome, still hoping this isn't it for her. She needs a major moment like the other supporting cast got. Not something we saw Gunhead do on his own when he is a very minor character himself.
Do more you damn robots. Die for us!
Secret SignatureOf course the fastest character is the last to show up.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.tenya slower than robot confirmed
Heart of StoneShoto about to show up after his whole family been horrifically scarred.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does."yay, now we all match!"
Heart of StoneThe Todorokis were all in the same area anyway.
Iida and Shoto instead leave from another city
Ok, so the issue with the previous chapter, which caused the confusion, was that the dialogue implied that Endevour was lifting off with Dabi, which wasn't the case, something that the backgrounds didn't help clarify, since everything is inside Toya's fire sphere. That is one issu solved this chapter...
But it now create another one, a smaller problem, but slightly concerning. So, you mean to tell me that U.A.'s robots will just listen to orders that any human gives them? I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they mmost likely won't listen to someone marked as a threat (villains), but the robot still took a direction course that put a human in danger.
Add the previous to moments where the robots have talked poorly about humans, and I could really see that in a sequel there is an arc with a robot uprising.
Also, did Fuyumi and Natsu steal another robot (meaning an even bigger security breach), or did they ran there (creating again the problem of the non-hero Todorokis being superhuman)?
Anyways, I really liked this chapter, even if it was short (because that maybe allowed Hori to rest a little more).
Not really a problem if the robots were given instructions to follow refugee orders above all else given the circumstances.
Also, the robot uprising plot is unlikely to ever materialize, as the only reason the robots are written that way is because Horikoshi's is paying homage to Star Wars droids.

I mean, what if one of the liberation army spies ordered a robot to do something that would slow down or indirectly endanger other people? As far as the robots would be concerned, they would be following orders for a refugee, so the heroes are lucky none of the infiltrators found out they could have made the robots do their bidding by just asking.
they said there were more than enough robots for everyone and they will take you where you go, so its not like they stole anyones chances to get away
While you could construct a scenario where the moles use the robots fo their advantage, you'd have to ignore several implict roadblocks that make it unlikely to happen.
For starters, the moles are probably not high threats on their own, so the average mole wouldn't take actions that would put them in direct confrontation with a hero.
Second, a number of moles already blew their cover due to getting antsy and were promptly dealth with, which makes any remaining mole less likely to take such an overt action as the robot uprising.
Third, in the event that a mole could get a number of robots to take actions that endager not just themselves but the entire civilian population of a block, they would not only have to deal with the heroes (which I remind you largely train against said robots so they are the best counter to use in such scenario) but the rest of the civilians and the robots protecting them.
I mean, its only an minor issue that popped into my head while reading. I mostly think of it as a potential security problem that is completely avoidable. Plus, if Rei would die here, it would be another strike against the hero association in the public eye, (and they surely would prefer to avoid that).
Looking at the scans, I'm finding it hard to take things seriously right now.
- For starters, Convection, Schmonvection is at it again, since the sheer size of the inferno Dabi is causing from his meltdown should be causing a lot more damage to the surrounding area, yet it seems to only be affecting those literally right next to him.
- There's also the Terminator reference from that robot, but what would normally be Narm Charm just feels like narm since its juxtaposed with Rei desperately crying out to Enji and Dabi as she's being burned, which is an otherwise serious scene, and not where a Terminator thumbs up reference should be.
- And sadly, the art is making it hard to tell just how badly Rei, Natsuo, and Fuyumi are supposed to be being burned by the flames, since the shading makes it hard to tell if they're actually being burned at all. Rei for example you can clearly tell is losing her clothes, but the shading on her face instead of looking like she's "burned" looks more like she's just dirty or covered in soot. Fuyumi meanwhile looks more like she has cuts on her face, and Natsuo it looks more like he just had ice stuck to his face that is now melting off. I'm not sure if that's intentional, to show that their ice is stopping them from being burned too much, but last chapter made it look like Rei was being scarred over her left eye in a mirror to Shoto's scalding scar.
Yes, I am biased and hoping we get more of this in a later chapter for a more distinct "focus moment", her continuing to act as the leader of the evacuation team and taking charge overall being a fitting final focus moment for her reinforcing her strength as a leader, but I also like the inclusion of Chikuchi and Tsutsutaka helping the elderly civilians, reinforcing the theme that everyone can be a hero right now with no ones part too small. Same for Death Arms carrying some of the elderly too, building off his renewed resolve... just wish he didn't have to rob Tetsutetsu of a moment to get that resolve back.

Vegeta: I'm back bitches!kendou and tetsutestu probably arent gonna get another big moment. all of 1a hasnt even had that yet. also the art is rough and dirty scans, its always better with the official release
Let me hope for Itsuka at least since she's the one leading the evacuation right now, and Hori did a sketch of her recently so its not like she's off his radar.

Vegeta: I'm back bitches!shes not that important overall, maybe after sugarman, tailman, and cellophane have their moments
I'd argue she's more important than the three of them, and unlike them she's right here atm, meaning there shouldn't be a reason not to give her something. If they can give moments to freaking Inasa and Camie, they can give a moment to the most notable 1-B students besides Monoma.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches! This manga will never fucking end if we have to give every tertiary character "a moment"
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. That ship long since sailed the moment Shoji got a moment. Hell, it sailed the moment Monoma got elevated to a major role in the final arc. It set a precedent that all of the cast would get one final moment to show off, and so far it's stayed true to that by having dozens of characters, no matter how minor, getting a moment. Even 1-A students that were otherwise neglected like Mina got their final time to shine, with even Mineta getting a cool moment by standing up to AFO to protect Fumikage.
When freaking minor characters like Death Arms get a final chance in the limelight, then no one is off the table.
What is this, One Piece? Chill. We don't need every character to have a moment.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)I'm totally chill. All I'm asking is that at least Itsuka be given a fair deal here. She's a fan fave, loved by Hori's editors, she's currently in the location we're focusing on leading the civilians, and tons of other characters have been given stuff.
I'm not asking for much, just doing for her what Hori managed to do for Mina: Throw the Dog a Bone, something like her managing to calm the civilians when they start panicking, or taking charge further and showcasing how she's gone from the Cool Big Sis of her class to a genuine leader.
I see. I was wondering why we had spoilers when there were no chapters.
Thanks.
