...Isn't it break week?
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.yes. early spoilers like one piece
So we got spoilers for a chapter that won't be out until next week...ok.
Pffft, so Dabi in fact inherit Rei's quirk after all. Talk about a slap in the face.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I don't think this is the first time we've had this happen with chapter leaks during break.
But uh, yeah...so Rei's entering the fight now. Huh.
...I got nothin'.
Got confirmation that Rei and Genten are related tho... distantly related, but yea.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Honestly my biggest surprise is that Mr. Compress showed up (if in a non-action role). Of all the plot points Horikoshi teased that was the one I figured he actually did abandon.
Seems a bit late for Oja Harima lore though.

The funniest thing about this chapter is Rei just showing up here when she was underground last Chapter.
The maternal energy is real.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Do we know if this is the first time Rei has used her Quirk since she burned Shoto's face and tried to ice it (inadvertently making the burn worse, I think?). That could be an interesting story beat if Horikoshi wants to explore that. And I do think it would be kind of awesome if it turned out that her Ice Quirk is potentially equal to Enji's Flame Quirk.
Potentially cool in those aspects... But Rei, a non-combatant civilian, getting involved in such a life-or-death fight? Potentially yikes.
I feel like they're going for a very literal Cooldown Hug here.
Plus, Shoto isn't there yet.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I’m not sure if I like that Dabi has ice powers but we’ll see where this goes. I guess this might explain how Dabi hasn’t killed himself since yet, at any rate.

His hair did turn white. So I guess you could say it was at least foreshadowed that he could? Too bad he didn't learn how to do that until after he'd burned himself half to hell.
It was just hidden behind two or three near death experiences.
Wake me up at your own risk.Yea, the fact that he's close to the death and delirious kind of dampers this being a good thing.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.its kinda funny that touya was right that he just had to keep at it and the problem would be solved. not how anyone pictured it solved but still
Rei literally vetoed the Dying Moment of Awesome for Endeavor. Said "NOPE"
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Man to think the only way for Toya to unlock ice powers was multiple traumatic experiences
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."endevour was too soft on him if only he had pushed him as hard as he did shouto, we would have had a badly burned touya who unlocked ice powers
"Beating your children is justified actually"
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Look, if there’s anything I’ve learned from years of watching Shonen Anime, it’s that brutalizing children is the only way to solve the world’s problems.

This too feels out of nowhere. Toya has nearly died, what, three times before now, once as a kid, once when he awoke from his coma, and once right before becoming a revenant, and only on the third try does he suddenly awaken a second quirk?
And what is the point of even making Geten a distant relative of Rei's now? It's not like they are ever gonna meet, and it instead feels like an excuse to give Rei's family super-strong genetics. Which we kinda already knew she had since Enji's whole eugenics project involved him finding someone with the perfect complementary Quirk to his Hellfire. So all this does is retroactively justify the Ass Pull that was Dabi being able to use Phosphor.
Only thing this retroactively justifies in a good way is the reasoning for why Rei, Fuyumi, and Natsuo do so badly in heat and Toya was overall weak to his own Quirk. In the effort to keep their family "pure", the Himura's practiced inbreeding, which can lead to genetic defects and weakened immune systems, so their inability to handle the heat is because, at least partly, their genes are inbred. Meaning Toya's body being illsuited for his Quirk isn't even Enji and Rei's fault, its Toya's grandparents fault.
Seriously though, how is Rei even out here right now? Yeah, the block she, Fuyumi, and Natsuo were in is close by, but unless she just rocketed herself up there on an ice pillar like Shoto would, how is she so high in the sky able to embrace Enji and Toya right about now?
And yeah, Toya isn't making it out of this alive. In addition to the only thing keeping him alive being his hatred, which even Garaki said is the only reason he's still breathing oxygen, at this point his repeating himself and turning into a damn revenant means his brains is likely charcoal at this point. He's gonna be braindead at this point, so I wouldn't be surprised if he literally turns to ashes and becomes dust in the wind while the rest of his family is giving him a Cooldown Hug. Dabi will be stopped, but Toya Todoroki will have died all over again, just this time in the arms of the rest of his family.
Endeavor, UNIRONICALLY, did nothing wrong. If anything, he didn't beat Touya enough.
Uuuhhh... I mean if Dabi was gonna die, it would have been right here and now.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The Endeavor haters are gonna have a field day with this.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Brb, gonna go beat some kids to tough them up.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.In fairness Dabi is still dying (and would’ve died back when he was 13 if not for AFO). I’m not sure how much of that is Dabi trying to explode and how much is the inevitably of him using his powers but presumably Endevour would’ve just killed him if he trained Toya the way he wanted to.
Something I’m not clear on: Did Dabi get his second Quirk Awakening somehow? Were his blue flames an Awakening or just puberty?

early spoilers Chapter 387: Congealed The chapter begins with Geten and Compress talking in a prison. Geten says that the Himura family blood is thick and that they were a clan with many different lineages, all very rich and prideful. But the more the age of quirks advanced, the more prestige they lost
He says that they didn't want their blood to get mixed to other families' and Compress comments that it's a mix of family pedigree and quirk discrimination, Spinner told him about this. As a result, they started getting married to distant relatives and almost went extinct
The last desperate measure was to sell those from the main line to arranged marriages, like what happened to Rei. The other lineages slowly disappeared and Geten, who is also a Himura, was taken in and raised by Redestro
Geten then says that with the passing of the generations quirks have become more complex, and sometimes even the user themself is not fully aware of their genetics and the full extent of their power. He then asks Compress to tell his story since they have plenty of time
Cut to Endeavor and Dabi's fight and they're now 800m away from Gunga. Endeavor hears the news about Dabi's impending explosion and realizes that not only the civilians will be hit, but also the heroes who are trying to contain Toga's clones
He is exhausted and extremely hurt due to his fight against AFO, but Dabi goes straight to him shouting "LOOK AT ME, DAD!!!". Endeavor visualizes kid Toya saying "look what I can do now!" while smiling, but what comes next is a giant fire punch
Flame pillars come out of the ground and Endeavor asks him to put out the fire, but Toya just keeps shouting "look at me!!!" and "let's play, Natsu". Endeavor realizes that he is barely able to think anymore and wonders how he's still alive with such hot flames
He extends his hand towards Dabi's chest and starts thinking to himself. There are two kinds of phenomenons when someone is close to death: awakening an already existing ability, like what happened to Bakugou in the previous war, or developing a brand new type of ability
And that's what happened to Toya: he has ice coming out of his chest - he inherited Rei's quirk. Endeavor begins to remember everything that happened and says that it's all his fault. He intended to go on living to pay for what he has done, but now...
Now he understands that Toya will not stop repeating his mistakes, he will keep hurting others. He has failed to take care of Toya, and now that's the consequence. Endeavor says that he will not let his son die alone and won't let him involve anyone else in his revenge
Endeavor then holds Dabi and begins to fly. He takes advantage of his son's flames to propel them as high as possible, but the heat causes him to start losing consciousness. When all seems lost, Rei appears beside the two and starts to use her ice on Dabi. End of chapter
