Gotta use gang tactics to fight the roving gang members right? /s
It'd funny if it wasn't so infuriating how they don't even try to hide these tactics. There's so much proof that cops either create or escalate situations to arrest more people that you could fill a hard drive with it.
Find the Light in the DarkThe cops are a gang. The way they act is indistinguishable from one.
Thus, they belong in jail, making license plates.
I feel like I live in a different world because the KKK hasn't gone anywhere. The organization is everywhere in my region and there's like 50 chapters in my state. They may not be part of the national KKK but they're descendant organizations with direct ties to former members with their founders.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.People have come to believe that just because you don't hear about mobs of people with sheets on their head, the KKK ceased to exist. They've just ditched the robes for tactical vests.
Find the Light in the Dark@Codafett Actually, I think Charles Phipps is more pointing out that the KKK literally still exists.
"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"Though I think the registered self-identified KKK have also largely abandoned the robes and public cross-burnings. Now they'd rather dress smartly but relatably and talk about how they're just another club that wants to make their lives and the world better. They don't do any of that weird criminal stuff, they just want to send a firm message to the real criminals!
Based on what he’s said in the past, in Charles’ area they’re probably still wearing the hoods. Same as the Nazis in his area still have the swastikas and pledge allegiance to Hitler.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranCharles have pretty much said his area is closer to the remanent of confederacy than and actual part of united state of america, there the klan still walk free(kind of) and still make his presence know.
What the Klan dosent have is large present anymore, america dosent belive their racist shit(they belive other sort of racist shit but that is another point) so it give the impresion they arent really a thing anymore.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Edit:
Yes, you pretty much have it down. The KKK self-identify but wear different clothes.

Basically, this is a conversation I've had several times here where the assumption is that the overt racism of America vs. the subtle racism is a conflict that some people overestimate the latter's triumph of. In my area, what I mean to say is that the overt racism is by no means a done deal or even on the decay versus on the rise.
The Klan is not gone by any stretch of the imagination in my area nor in many other parts of the South, both literally and figuratively. The original organization had to break up due to law suits but they just promptly formed new organizations with slightly different titles. Very often these organizations were founded by card carrying (literally they had cards) members of the KKK and pretty much maintained the majority of their rituals as well as beliefs.
Generally, the KKK of 2020 have ditched the white sheets but that's because they've instead adopted camouflage and faux Army Gear. Like the Nazis, they've adopted a weekend warrior paramilitary attitude. A large number of American militias (and I have like 15 in my immediate area) with white supremacist leanings are just the Klan known as, "The American Freedom for a White Christian America" club.
To give you a little sense of how little progress has been made, Klan and Neo-Nazi paraphanelia was banned at the Kentucky State Fair in...2018. Yes, you would pass by stalls with the white robes for kids and adults and flags alongside your funnel cake.
Oddly enough, David Duke discussed this (and this is the only time I will ever cite this man - it was in a documentary we watched in political science filmed by my teacher) that the Klan split into two separate ideologies around the 1980s with the former wanting to make white supremacy mainstream under Republicans again while the later went deeper underground to become the basis of outlaw criminal organizations and cult compounds/militias waiting to rise up.
So if you're wondering where all these groups of white protestors with torches and hangman's nooses on January 6th came from, they've always been there.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Based on what little I heard of his Chauvin testimony, that is exactly the kind of shady shit I expected him to be involved in.
“Once you’ve been to Cambodia, you’ll never stop wanting to beat Henry Kissinger to death with your bare hands." ~Anthony BourdainShould we change the title to remove 2020?
Because we're far past 2020 at this rate.
Watch SymphogearIt started in 2020 and there's only one year's difference so I really see no point in changing it
New theme music also a boxPlus it makes it clear that it refers to the protests that started because of events in 2020.
Former Home of Witness for Derrick Chauvin Defense Smeared With Pig's Blood
Yeah, this is unacceptable. Outrage over police brutality and those who enable it is 100% justified but not vandalizing an innocent person's house.

Jury has reached a verdict in the Chauvin trial according to CNN TV. Expected to be announced in half an hour.
“We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.” - Lewis CarrollI'm not optimistic, but I'd love to be pleasantly surprised.
Chauvin found guilty on all three charges.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I'm amazed. Police almost never get these kind of charges. Hopefully this leads to meaningful change.
Never before in the state has a white police officer been convicted for killing a black person while on duty according to the BBC.
Maximum sentence is 40 years.

Embedded in case anyone wants to give it a watch.
It's a good video. I recommend it.
