Huh. I was just pegging this as God Eater meets Sunset Overdrive, but I forgot Astral Chain was a thing.
Really intriguing, regardless...
"Brain Punk". That's a new one I haven't heard of before. What's it like?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Flower monsters do look cool and I really want that psychokinesis system to be pulled off properly.
My unpopular opinion is that Go Shiina's pretty mediocre at this point, so I'm really hoping he's not attached to this for music duties.
Much more emphasis on psychic powers then Cybernetics, though they can still overlap. Akira is the best example I can think of.
Watch SymphogearMaybe it's for fantastical stuff involving creepy stuff going on in the head region?
Like how steampunk revolves around steam and cyberpunk revolves around cybernetics?
Brain Punk could apply for games like The Last of Us and Death Stranding, at least?
EDIT: Okay, makes more sense. Doy...

Looks freakin' sick. But is it an Xbox Exclusive or not?
... Did that bouquet of flowers just snarl?
From the looks of the ending, yes it appears to be an X Bone exclusive.
Damn Microsoft, finally creating exclusives that make me want an Xbox.
Kudos.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That's good to hear. Now I can get hype for it.
Still, I would again like to attest that Our Monsters Are Weird doesn't even begin to describe the game. It's worse than SMT.
New trailer.
Was wondering why the graphics looked so terrible and then I realized the video quality had defaulted to 480.
I am enjoying the mysterious black and red emoji face under a hoodie crew look.
Gamescom 2020 Scarlet Nexus trailer
INB 4 any "Za Warudo" jokes.
It says a lot about Japanese-born games nowadays I was pleasantly surprised to hear an english voiceover.
Is Yuito customizable or fixed?
Videos from Arrekz Gaming
For PC, PS 4/5 Xbox One/S. Something Something 4k.
"Probably" singleplayer with optional AI teammates.
AI companions have different psychic powers. Video sample is Hanabi, with pyrokinesis
Player has regenerating gauge for psychic attacks.
Player has menu for loading up different psychic powers drawn from AI teammates. It is activated for a temporary change in abilities.
Psychic powers have tiers or levels of some sort, with wildly different abilities between each. Pyrokinesis, if I recall right, had anything between fire element weapon buff, fire clones, and flamethower attacks. The video mentions 6 tiers.
Protag Guy's psychic power is telekinesis, so it's Force Unleashed.
Developers plan on making transitions between telekinesis and melee attacks seamless. No "throwing something, and then having to run over, and then begin the attack chain from the beginning". Hence, "step-in" attack, where a short period after throwing something can let a player segue right into an attack. Also works vice versa, with players able to use psychic powers in the middle of a melee chain.
Context sensitive special attacks. You know, the enemy is staggered, so then those hanging pipes overhead are now suddenly droppable for dramatic damage.
Observations:
Environment contextual debuffs. Enemies could be hit with oil from a drum, setting it up for further damage from pyrokinesis attacks.
Just Dodges of some sort, perhaps. There was something that looked Just Dodgy.
Enemies noted for the sample videos: Flying pest types. Normal mook type. Long ranged types. Charging bull type. Boss type, with turret on back, weakened state achieved by throwing stuff at turret.

Annoyed. I spent a lot of time on these, then the tropes got hidden for speculation, fine. Then they got nuked, when Cyberpunk 2077 and Granblue Relink never even got touched.
I don't know about Granblue, but the page for Cyberpunk had to be locked due to people constantly adding examples that violated the upcoming works policy and edit warring to revert enforcement of said policy. So no, that page definitely got "touched" by the staff.
Whatever, I checked around, and apparently I don't think there'll be a way to appeal for a restoration. So I'll just redo it all over again, with trailer citations, or something.
I worked pretty hard on gathering all the material a while back, and I'm not gonna let some 13 year old loltroper69 take the credit for it next summer.
The creation of 2077 and Relink's pages predated the Creating a Work Page for an Upcoming Work policy that came into effect, hence why they were kept (though 2077's page was locked due to speculative troping). The wiki was having problems with people putting tropes that assumed would happen based on promotional material (speculative troping), which either straight up did not happen in the final product or were just plain wrong, as well as misuse of some Trivia and YMMV tropes.
Make sure the minimum three tropes for the page follow such rules stated in the page.

news - It has been announced that they are making a Scarlet Nexus The Anime of the Game to follow in Summer
Demo's out. I played it.
And I had motion sickness like six seconds after starting it. The camera "Snaps" back to your character if you leave it be and I find that so disorienting. Luckily you can turn that off.
Of course after I did, the combat absolutely overwhelmed me anyway. Like three or four button prompts of varying importance can be on screen at once in between juggling your powerup cooldowns and your health, energy and Super Mode gauge all the while your character is busting out THE MOST ANIME ATTACKS IN HISTORY.
The game's got a combat loop I haven't quite put my finger on yet. Maybe the real game eases you into it better than the demo, or maybe I wasn't supposed to play as knife-lady first, but jumping straight into it has left me crosseyed.
But it has potential to be really cool. Still got my eye on it.
Played katana guy first and damn the combat has me impressed.
Really fun, over the top, and plus lots of options with the various sub-abilities your teammates provide you giving you a reason to raise those relationship meters.
Looking forward to the full product and seeing how crazy the other environments are gonna be.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So it's fully out now, what's the opinions on the gameplay?
You play as a guy with Psychokinesis and fight plant monsters.
Looks like Astral Chain but with flowers, and is based on Brain Punk instead of Cyber Punk.
Also one of the few titles that wasn't boring at the Inside Xbox event.
