Yuki forgets to silence the cell phone, so Ms. Strick hears it when the phone announces "You have arrived at your destination."

Without turning from the blackboard, Ms. Strick says "See me after class for your tardy slip, Miss Yuki."

Not-Yuki winces. Ouch. Coulda swore I turned that off... I'll have to see if I can sweet-talk my way out of trouble after class.

"Now, then... " Ms. Strick says. "As you know, we'll be having elections for class president this Friday. So far there have been three nominees...". She carefully writes on the board.

"The third write in nominee, Seymour Butts, is sadly ineligible due to there being no student by that name. You have until the end of class today to let me know if you'd like to also be considered a candidate."

 Angel N. D'Centrefold: Another recent transfer student. May be an Atarian spy working for Princess Adrestia 

 Astra Albus: the assumed name that the Glorious Princess Star White is using while hiding her magnificent light from this sadly uncivilized world.

Ian recites each name in Daisy's head and draws up various conclusions based on them...

"Angel N. D'Centrefold...? What kind of a name is that? Regardless, if she wins, I know my blood will run cold... my memory will have been sold..."

"Astra Albus... A rather stellar name... Though... I can't help but feel that it might be familiar..."

"Also... Seymour Butts?!"

-Daisy covers her mouth to prevent her from laughing too loudly!-

"Oof... One of these days, I swear... Ms. Strick is going to find whoever put that name in, and when she gets her hands on them, she's going to pull out their eyeballs with a corkscrew..."

Alex seeing the notification pop up telling the group they will be late for school sprints out the door and tries her best to get there before the teacher notices she's not in her seat.

Not-Yuki blinks slowly. Run for class president? No, I don't think I'll be doing that. ... Unless. Between Angel being a spy, Astra being missing, and Seymour being fake, we may need to put forth a new candidate. ... What's the importance of a class president, again?

Felix chalks several runes around the shattered front doorway, producing a low level illusion that will cause anyone outside to think the door is still intact. He then goes down to the basement and pokes at a heavily tanned girl who is snoring loudly on one of the cot. "Pink Cat Maid?"

Challenge to get to school on time despite the late start: 10 

Alex runs all the way to school, managing to get into class JUST as the 'tardy' bell is ringing. Ms. Strick gives Alex a stern look but doesn't say anything, just welcoming everyone to class and then begin the daily announcements before beginning to talk about the Class President.

Codex Entry:

On Atlantia, the class president is tasked with assigning duties to their fellow students, making sure the classrooms are cleaned after each class, helping with fire drills, operating the school's defense mecha, and collecting permission slips for field trips. Aerth schools seem to not have defense mecha, another example of why Atlantia is superior.

"I was hoping the extra sleep meant you wouldn't have memory problems." the man mutters. "Ok, I don't know how much YOU remember, so lets hit the basics. I'm Felix Mamzer , First Valet to her highness Princess Star White. She and I traveled from our homeworld, Atlantia, to this one... Aerth... to stop an Atarian invasion. This man explanation kinda created more questions that it answered but right now it didn't seemed to be the right moment to ask anything else since she was seemingly running late to whatever class she was apparently having then "ok I guess, I'm not sure I understand but I will listen to you for now at least" Maria said and then ran as fast as she could towards her classroom

Maria trips several times, getting used to her new body, and arrives to class in time to have Ms. Strick glare at her. "See me after class for a tardy slip, Miss Maria." Ms. Strick announces as she points at an empty seat, next to a girl with the words "Ally: Unseen Shade" floating over her head.

Glancing up will reveal all of you can see the words "Ally: Pink Cat Maid" floating over Maria.

"If I understand the situation correctly, I'm just as confused as you are," not-Yuki mutters, trying to avoid anyone else overhearing her. "I already told... what's their name, Blue Amber? But we all — us magical girls — need to meet up first chance we get. Without Felix. The HUD-thingy points us out, I think?" They glance around at the other students, checking to make sure they're distinguished from the magical girls in some way.

The Magically Augmented Reality Interface with Simplified User Elements (MARI-SUE for short) displays names in green, blue, and (in the case of Angel N. D'Centrefold) red. Given the names displayed in green, it seems that only Magical Girls or allies are displayed in green. On the other hand, it does identify the hamster in the glass case in the corner as    Rodent Of Unusual Size, Level ½   , so you might want to be careful trusting the display.

MARI-SUE: Acronym for the complex piece of techno-magery used to supply information for those recruited by Princess Star White. Also referred to as 'the Display' or 'the Codex'. You should always trust the MARI-SUE.

"So, the final candidate list for Class President is..." Ms. Strick annnounces, then reads off names as she writes on the board.

"Miss Ima, Miss Angel, you two can take the next class period to talk with some friends to plan your campaign for the week. Since Miss Astra is out sick for the week with the 'Venusian space measles' and her house mother, Mister Mamzer, faxed in a doctor's note, one of her friends will need to act as Miss Astra's campaign manager while she's out."

Ms. Strick looks around. "Any volunteers to run Miss Astra's campaign manager?"

Maria Lifts up her arm "I'll do it because the words floating on the air told me to"

"Um..... Thank you, Miss Maria." says Ms. Strick. "Ok, Candidates and Campaign Managers, each of you select up to four other students and go to one of the unoccupied study rooms to plan your campaigns. Everyone else, we'll be doing a Literary Deconstruction exercise. Someone donated a set of copies of a book about living with color blindness, so all of you come and grab a copy of 'Fifty Shades of Grey'."

Angel grabs her three cohorts and leads them into one of the soundproofed study rooms (the largest of the three, of course). Ima, a studious girl with glasses and brown hair, starts asking members of the class to see who wants to help her.

Pink Cat Maid gains +6 favor, for a new total of 8.

"That tears it... No one can have such a name without openly admitting their scandalous profession to the school... That's pretty much GROUNDS for expulsion!", Ian thinks to him/herself.

Just then, Ian gets an idea on how to ensure Astra Albus' victory in the polls.

"I've GOT it! By Princess Star White, I think I've got it!", Daisy exclaims softly.

Ima Hooker's mother, Ezma A. Hooker is a direct descendant of the Civil War General  Joseph Hooker.  Her father, Ben A. Hooker, chose to adopt his wife's family name rather then pass on his family name of Gigilo.
