I must apologize for the double post, but this is a different topic.
I recently caved bought the Doctor's Choice pack and used the choose your own 6* ticket on Nightingale.
Why her in general? Its mainly for when I make it to Chapter 8 (the fight against Talulah specifically) with any effectiveness against Pompeii being a bonus this time. Also to guarantee I actually have her as I doubt I can build up the gold certs to get her from the shop or would be lucky enough to pull a 6* in the 10 (and only 10) pulls I plan on doing for that banner.
With that said I must still ask if she and her res buffs have uses in other content?

I was referring to the character Durin though (considering that Myrtle is in the 4 star range)

Ah...
the use of "dwarf" here was to avoid confusion between the two Durin and also becuase dwarves were the clear basis for the race in general.

Yeah, but you said dwarves don't have any associated animals which is 50% not true in this game.

Myrtle's not a dwarf, though. She's a durin.
I assumed the context of your original statement was that Durin's motif is a dwarf, not an animal. Taking into account that durin are durin, not dwarfs, even if based on them, that would make your context that operator Durin's motif is a dwarf being wierd since dwarves don't have an animal motif completely correct, and whether or not myrtle has an animal motif doesn't contradict that because Myrtle isn't a dwarf. She's a durin.
But I guess that's not what you meant.

No Thorns (guaranteed 5* was dupe Platinum), but I did get Jaye so 1/2 goal isn't bad.

you guessed right. But I can see how I used confusing wording. The general point is that Durin (the character) has no apparent Animal Motif compared to the rest of the units. And is thus an outlier.
Let's see what the Thorns banner gets me
Jaye, Sussurro, Lava, Sussurro again, Beehunter, Podenco (never seen her before), May (also new but I was aware of her existence), Kroos, Catapult and the 5 star is...(drumroll) Andreana.
So I wound up with two of the 3 focus units. And now I want to ask for opinions on them (okay Adreana really, Jayewasalready discussed), May, Podenco and Nightingale (since I used the selector ticket on her)

Podenco is one of the best 4* Supporters for her flex options with healing and debuffing skills.
Nightingale is a great aoe healer with her cages able to soak up damage for squishier units and can help reduce arts damage with her skills.

Took me a couple of pulls, but i got Thorn. And multiple Jaye and Three pot of the new sniper.
Roll the latest banner hoping to get Thorns. Instead I got Liskarm(who I already have and leveled up to E2) and Jaye. Jaye is enough for me so I'm saving my rolls for the next limited banner or when the Sutr banner comes.

Okay I tried to follow Kyo's guide to Pompeii and cleared it, but only because I managed to kill everyone else besides Eyja's "sluggish" counterpart and thus only took a hit.
Which is still a problem since I want the OP and would rather [[Last Lousy Point now have to spent parts to get the full set when I could get it for free) so I'm gonna try to take up some level grinding on the side to bring my units up to par (except maybe Courier, since he's not promoted and isn't gonna stay ont he field)
I'm also considering Promoting Lappland and how to best use her to shut down Pompeii and seeing if I use Ceylon as Perfumer's co-healer for the map?

Read Thorns' story, I definitely get why some of AK twitter really latched onto Elysium/thorns.
But am I reading this right in that whatever's in the Abyss granted Ægir the ability to be on land and can easily revoke that when it feels like?
Because I bought Skadi's beach outfit, now I'm torn on what one more costume I can buy, either Gummy or Ifrit if the latter's outfit finally appears, since I want to complete my Rhine Lab Family or Ursus students costume collection.

I went with Gummy since unlike Ifrit I actually have her and also try to adhere to a policy of only buying one outfit per month (free ones don't count). Of course it also helps that Gummy and Cuora were the ones I trying to get the costumes for so far.
If you haven't done every stage in HOSF yet that should be up to 31ish OG which might be enought for almost 2 outfits.

More like Aegir the country is a literal living sea that can communicate telepathically with Aegir the people through any large body of water, even if Siesta's 'sea' isn't really a sea. According to Andreana's profile, the Abyssal Hunters are people who have been 'modified' by the sea and most affected by its eldritch power, but any Aegir, even if they're no longer native to Aegir, can still affected. The usual Lovecraftian shenanigan.
By the way, the new update with the relation network basically changes a lot of the operators' faction. Are we going to edit them all in the character page?

I almost wonder if that has anything to do with Cuora's amnesia, she does seem to be a sea turtle instead of a land one and its not like an average Eldritch Location wouldn't have more than one trick up its sleeve
BTW I decided to level/E1 Jaye since I remember he does have some potential in beating Pompeii, and I managed to get the 3rdstar using him and a Nightengale I borrowed from one of you (thanks for that BTW), was rather close though since by the time I cleared, the slug was close to the goal and my only operatives still standing was Nightengale, forcing me to deploy Melentha (who fell early but was ready by the time the Defender duo fell) and Orchid to help Jaye slay/stall the beast.
I can't autofarm the last two stages due to using friend units so I'm be sticking to one that had both event drops (OF-6) for now.
BTW what are the stage prefixes "OF"? Wouldn't "HF" make more sense?

Also I see, I wasn't sure the entity was meant to be separate from the sea.
It's mostly a speculation because everytime Skadi and Specter talk about it, they don't seem to refer to any particular individual. It checks out with the mention that no one knows a lot of thing beyond the sea. Also, the description from one of the item in the roguelike mode:

Alright my goal for the HOSF rerun would be to clean out the gacha mainly (which would entail overgrinding in the obsidian ans I don't think I could get a AD on OF-8 yet without support units. This also means I'll be overgrinding the other tokens. Once I have everything I will focus on grinding for resources so that I could attempt to tackle the event's harder content by the end of the 2 week period.
I mostly cleared out the first gacha and could prolly get the 2nd one finished by tonight or tomorrow as well.
As for what to use resources on, prolly gonna be trying to promote 4 stars, as well as Lappland and Nightengale and level SilverAsh, Cliffheart and my 3 E1 4 stars Gummy, Cuora and Jaye

Decided to grab Nightingale from the gold cert shop with the new standard banner refresh since I like the Followers as a group and it's probably good to have her skills/talent as a fallback for certain situations.

New banner new units (for me), Between that and the recruitment I managed to get Midnight, Myrrh, Leizi and Frostleaf
Myrrh's pretty good because she can be a pseudo-AOE medic.

Okay I'm prolly gonna take a break from the event farming until Monday afternoon atearliest as I want to gather some chips to promote with over the weekend (for Lappland, Liskarm, Myrrh, Gitano, Shaw, Nightingale and maybe Courier and Cliffheart)
That should be 8 Medic chips, 5 Defender and Guard Chips, and 3 Caster Chips min and 3 Vanguard and 4 Extra Specialist Chips for a maximum total of 28 chips.
(Monday Morning is Annihilation Ordundum faring)
