Also sent friend request. Also if you have the time, I suggest using Just3c's fresh account videos as a reference. The parts about the CC event may not be relevant, but being able to prepare and raise the relevant units might prove helpful in the long run.

Here are some suggestions on my side.

1) Always save Originium (the yellow orbs): Even if it's tempting to use it to headhunt, it pays off more to spend it on the pro packs you get each 10 levels because those give you materials and money as well as orundum -what you use to roll-.

2) Be mindful of the yellow certificates: The certificates you get for pulling a new 5+ star or by turning in the extra tokens of the 4 stars are very rare in comparison to the green ones so don't use them on the materials you have on the shop.

3) Keep a stash for the next banner: This game gives you a guaranteed operator of 5+ stars in the first ten-roll of each new banner so it technically pays off better to roll once on each new banner rather than rolling multiple times on a single one.

4) Don't underestimate the lower rarity operators: Despite suffering from Can't Catch Up in general, the 2 stars operators are useful at the beginning because they are cheaper and easier to level up, they also unlocking their bonus traits without the need to raise them to Elite; likewise, the 3 stars can perform decently despite being only able to be made into Elite only once, their lower cost to deploy also gives them an edge in some situations.

And finally

5) Invest in your base: The production and selling of metal will give you a constant flux of cash each day, which spares you from using sanity on farming money; aside from that, Tthe game has a trust system that enhances the stats of each operator the more you deploy them in combat or the more you have them do stuff in the base, since the former depends on sanity and whether or not you need them for a particular stage, it's easier to get trust points by doing the latter.

Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.

Is Coura still in the shop? If so, its good to get her since she can block three enemies and a fourth when her skill is active.

She is not. They replaced Cuora and F Eater with Ethan and Breeze.

4-10 is honestly really easy if you know how to deal with the boss. The problem is mostly that the way to deal with the boss is a little counterintuitive compared to previous bosses.

So if you're following a guide, with that planning step taken from you, there won't be any tight timings or strict stat checks.

Cleared chapter 4. And figures the actual run for the final level actually had problems.

There are translations out for some chapters of the Arknights manga anthology. The Rhine Lab family chapter is my favorite.

Love reading the Anthology manga chapters. My favorite has to be the one with the Rhine Lab since it takes place after Siesta and Ifrit called Saria and Silence her moms. :)

Lancet is great, and really makes me want to get Castle too, just to have (essentially) a free blocker.

Am I correct in thinking that the only way to get more of those green/yellow/red certificates is to do more summons?

How do you guys ever get enough of them to buy anything from the shop?

You get Red Certs from dailies, it's like 20 at minimum a pop from the highest difficulty stage.

Spam recruitment for green certs, that's what I did.

And 3* tokens are worth 5 green certs and 4* tokens are worth 1 gold cert, so once you max out the potential of a 3/4* Operator, make sure to trade their tokens for more certs.

Lore-related, but I think Arknights is one of those games that need some detailed or visual infodump/exposition on its world's geography (if there's one, I may have missed it in the prologue).

It appears that the characters and factions are easily moving back-and-forth between the cities Chernobog and Lungmen in most of the game's main story thus far, as if the cities are just neighbors that the people can just travel between them on foot.

I'm still catching up with the main story (or re-reading it) and I'm still on Chapter 4 in preparation for the upcoming sixth chapter, but does the game reference more of the factions and nations listed under the Characters.Arknights Others page? It appears as though the game just sets up the Fictional Counterpart and Fantasy Counterpart Culture tropes and leaves them to the players' imaginations on pinpointing where the locations are.

Also, is the city of Chernobog named after Chernobyl? Or is it named after a Slavic god?

Aren't the cities mobile? Maybe they're just all parked at the same spot right now.

BTW, how's Pramanix? I'm tempted to buy her from the shop since she's voiced by Hayamin.

I think most of the country exposition for any location that isn't Lungmen/Chernobog (and Ursus by proxy)/Siesta are in Operator profiles.

BTW, how's Pramanix?

tbh I find her a pretty decent Caster substitute for Arts DPS due to having Arts damage plus her low cost, being able to hit two targets at the same time, and debuff kit to make it easier for taking down certain heavy hitters.

Not a total substitute, but good enough for like 2/3 of the game so far.

As mentioned, the cities are mobile and Chernobog and Lungmen happen to be neighbors right now. The story chapters appear to take place over an incredibly short period of time so far. That said, I think the cities probably move around in a relatively small area and not like totally freely.

Also, Lungmen is specifically Hong Kong, as there's another place mentioned in profiles called Yen which is more analogous to China proper. The people in Lungmen speak Cantonese and it's got close connections to Victoria (which is the UK analog).

Chernobog is just one of many cities belonging to the Ursus empire (which is Russia).
