YMMV tropes are... anything on the YMMV index.
So you can add things like Expy.

Is it published somewhere? If it's only in your computer, it goes under DarthWiki.Unpublished Works with DarthWiki namespace. Those can't have any subpages, including character sheets and YMMV. (You can't add any YMMV for your own works anyway.)
If it's published, subpages like character sheets are okay.
Expy and Captain Ersatz are not YMMV, so they are okay but they are often misused, especially Expy.

So I am writing this novel/la about school idols, and now that the first chapter is up, with more to follow shortly, I am thinking of starting a page (though it might be a better idea to do it when I have a couple more chapters up). But I want to understand the boundaries of the "no YMMV tropes" rule.
- the work is an Ascended Fanfic and quite a few serial numbers were filed off, including what was canon character cameos. Are Expy and Captain Ersatz "YMMV" tropes or can I use them?
- are Characters pages allowed?
- in general, how do I work out exactly which tropes are YMMV? Shown Their Work has to be YMMV but I can't find anything on its page? (Though for what I want to show, Real-Place Background will work better and this one should not be YMMV?)
