That’s… a change of pace, but a very interesting one. That reminds me of a dialogue I once read in a manga about manga:
"What’s the point of doing everything perfect if you can’t release it in time?!"
"What’s the point of releasing it in time if I’m not satisfied with it?!"
It’s a pity we’ll never see the complete version of the film as William envisioned it, but I am curious about that Recobbled Cut thing.
I think most artists actually know Williams more by his famous book about the subject of animation that is basically required reading for any would-be animator now, more than anything else. Even outside of the technical aspects he has a lot of cool anecdotes about the pursuit of art and what a lot of the famous animators of his day were like to work with.
This is a very different sort of story. It's a story of a guy's life.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.Huh... The first I seen Matt tackle an animated film (as far as I know anyway). I guess it's safe to say that he'll be branching out to different mediums for variety, at least from what I predict.
Really well-done and interesting video IMO.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallHe did some Wha Happuns on life action movies like the 1998 Godzilla, Dragonball Evolution and Spider-Man 3, but this was indeed the first animated one he has tackled.
Edit: I forgot about Final Fantasy the Spirits Within, so it was the first without any connection to a game franchise.

My favorite of his movie episodes was the one on Super Mario Bros. It really gave a lot of context on what happened behind the scenes, and how the final product ended up that way.
Don't forget the bittersweet tragedy that is Samurai Cop.
So a question since I haven't been super consistent with watching uploads. Is Matt's avatar here a new one or just a one-off for the specific subject matter? If the former is the case, I kind of prefer the old avatar.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? What, the round skeleton in a suit persona? I think that's his most recent one.
Anyway, on the other side of the Matt McMuscles spectrum, Matt gets roped into the bizarre game that is Together BNB.
I tried looking it up before watching, but all I got was that apparently there's some spicy NSFW stuff, horror stuff, and it's just plain weird. Like, there's no page on Wikipedia and we don't even have a page for it on TV Tropes.
Worst Fighting Game - Bloodstorm, in which he talks about a tryhard violent fighting game trying to ape Mortal Kombat at the time.
Holy shit I also kept thinking of The Simpsons!

As someone who's played Blood Storm, I can confirm that it's really stiff and focused more on gore than anything else.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.So the latest episode of Wha Happun is out and it covers Digimon Survive.

Check out Rogues Gallery Transplant: The GameA bummer that it did poorly but… well, it’s a visual novel. No one could expect it to do huge numbers, since not everyone is a fan of this format − let alone console players.
I would say it kinda did decently in NA but only because it's a multiplatform.
Huh the game didn't do well?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It did decently but compared to other Digimon games, it was a flop.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.I'm not sure about 'compared to other Digimon games'. The comparison in the video specifically to the Cyber Sleuth games, which were much bigger deals than usual for the franchise
But they where also the most recent new console Digimon games before Survive. So not really surprising that their success would be used as a measuring stick going forward.
The game did alright in the United States. They made a note of that in a pinned comment.
Technically still out of context. It only did well insofar as it had ports. Otherwise it didn't do so well (Live A Live outsold it in Switch) and it was practically erased in Famitsu sales.
Sales are sales. If it sells by virtue of being on different platforms so more people can buy it, that doesn't change that that number of people wanted to buy it...
Trans rights are human rights.Alien Resurrection (The Game)
I had no idea this existed, but it was apparently ground-breaking
I've definately played it and confirm the difficulty
New theme music also a box
In today's episode of Wha Happun?, Matt talks about the very long development of Richard Williams' The Thief and The Cobbler.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.
