Tall Building

Jezebel simply stood back and whistled as Iris did her thing. With anyone else she might have tried to stop her or save whoever it was she was subjecting to endless torment, but given what the Saint had done and was trying to do, she felt it best to let nature take its course. "Fucking A."

As for the Saint, he was too wrapped up in his own bout of misery and grief to fully comprehend the sheer eldritch horror he was faced with. All he knew was that the fates were at last casting judgement. And in some way, he was content. "So be it. Maybe after all I've done, it's what I deserve. If this is what the fates have decreed, then let justice be done."

I.W.-Martin

Martin came back to consciousness in screaming pain, like a white hot brand being burned into every inch of his body. Still, this wasn't a situation that he could just sit back and sleep in. This wasn't a time that he could just sit back. He smiled at Holiday and Mahvash for a moment. "Could you help me sit up a little? I'd do it myself but my body isn't quite moving the way I want it to yet." with or without their help he turned his focus to Iris, Saint, and the demon lady whose name he hadn't gotten yet.

"Screw you and screw your justice," it hurt to speak, hurt to fill his lungs with enough air to even stay conscious. But he couldn't just let this happen. "Iris, we got our butt kicks, we lost. But if we kill him then it just proves the only way we can deal with threats is the same way he can. We're better then him, better then whatever insanity drives him. We'll pick ourselves up and fight again tomorrow, and maybe we lose that too. But I'd rather lose a thousand times then let a raving madman use me to prove a point." he coughed violently, shaking his already wounded body further. "Lets go home," he turned to Saint. "And next time, it ends with him in cuffs." he looked to the others, waiting to see what they would do. Keeping himself conscious through sheer effort.

Marky - Squad 2

"...if we kill him, it just proves..."

There's...there's Martin...being Martin again. Trying to hold to a standard...

Mark was half between consciousness and unconsciousness. After getting suddenly hit by the Saint, his world had went white and red, and he was only now starting to return to awareness beyond that of vague pain and squirming. He tried to get back up, but one leg was just not cooperating.

Leg broken...not exactly looking as it should...

Marky was aware that one of his arms was not quite limp, but definitely bruised up and dripping blood. His eyes were having some trouble - cut on his forehead. Yeah, that'd explain it.

He coughed up some blood, and guessed there was a broken rib or two. He stumbled and fell over himself, almost falling unconscious again. Marky could barely talk...but he could start to see.

What Iris was like now. What she was really like. Seeing her like this made him horrified, made him start to think it was a mistake to go this route. That Squad 2 might be really, really fucking twisted.

"She's...a monster..." He murmured to himself, not thinking if she could hear him.

Saint was a demon, Iris was some kind of horrid abomination, here he was, battered, beaten and broken, unable to do any damn thing about any of this. He wanted Saint to pay for his crimes, but he didn't want this...this horrible, disgusting nonsense to go on.

Marky had never felt so abysmally powerless in his career as a hero. He couldn't just go on like this. Not when all of these people were—-

It was all he could do to suppress the urge to vomit. He didn't like the idea of what'd happen if he vomited with a few ribs outta order.

Holiday – Tall Building (Squad 2)

Shooting one of her spare flares across Iris's (admittedly extensive) vision was not a preferential plan of hers, but it was the only thing Holiday could think of without intervening directly on what felt like a potentially fragile situation. The Saint was down and distraught, his words indicating an overwhelming guilt that she assumed had been slowly bubbling beneath the surface for an extended period of time. Mahvash declared a tactical retreat, but the situation had quickly moved past that—and the ACP merely let a smile flicker across her face for Martin's benefit before turning to address the others.

“He has a point. This was not our mission. Iris—or whoever is currently in charge—please stand down. The Saint is subdued by his own want. Though I think it deserved if this is his attempt at playing possum. If he makes another move, I won't blame you for trying to drag him to whatever hell you have planned. Though my directives will most likely compel me to stop you.”

Quickly scanning the others in her vicinity, she made a mental list of injuries that she'd later need to help in tending to before cautiously making her way over to The Saint. One of her arm blades were held at the ready, though briefly retracted as she presented him with cuffs. She knew conventional bullets would be useless. But a quirk of an eyebrow and a light scratch of her blades against his skin (most likely not cutting it, but more to nonverbally express her intent if he refused) indicated that she expected him to cooperate, in a manner which she was willing not to make needlessly embarrassing for him.

“Mahvash, I aim to counter your command with one of my own for once. Do what you want with Martin in your own time—be it taking him away, operating on him, or whatever else which may be private between you two—but I expect assistance in managing the injured. I am willing to operate as efficiently as possible on the field, and/or once we have returned to base. Again, your accompaniment may be needed. If yet more goes wrong, I will remain. I am durable and my body can be repaired and replaced. Our allies, however, are not in the same way.”

A pause, as she again glanced down at Saint and offered the reinforced cuffs for his wrists.

“Your accompaniment in that situation is optional. Markus, hold on! Don't strain yourself! I'll tend to you in a moment. As long as our friend here shows a dredge of respect. Do you have that in you, Saint? I can tell you have regrets. Will you allow us this moment to address the damages? I assure you, you shall be redeemed if even only slightly if you do. I promise you that.”

There was no hint of deception in her voice, but then again she was a machine. But for all intents and purposes—and especially considering the severity of the situation—this honestly seemed like a gambling expression of partially desperate trust.

Yet one false move, and it'd vanish away into nothing.

Ryuu groaned as he moved up, raising up to his feet unsteadily. But then, he noticed people fallen and how Iris seemed to drag the Saint to a madness dimension.

Oh, boy

Ryuu didn't know what he was doing, but his body was running and shouting to stop her. He didn't know what was right now, but tossing a man to a mind breaking hellscape is not how this was supposed to end.

Flinching at his own injuries, he kept moving.

Tall Building

At Holiday's offer, the Saint at last looked up, seeing the carnage and devastation he had wrought with new eyes. Or perhaps with a trace of those he used to have. He had done this. Caused more pain and suffering. Nearly killed those who had, at least in his own world, once been under his charge. All in the name of preventing this exact sort of thing from ever happening again.

Perhaps if he had more time to think, he would have thought differently. Perhaps he would have continued to damn the consquences and finish what he had started. But right here and now, he didn't give a damn.

"Do whatever the hell you want."

And just like that, it was over.

However, unbeknownst to the heroes, the Saint wasn't their only concern. High above, a black orb with one red dot in the center had been watching everything from on high. At the Saint's surrender, it began blinking rapidly, sending a message via interdimensional relay to its' home dimension and the Saviors that defended it loud and clear.

"MAYDAY! MAYDAY! SAINT COMPROMISED! SAINT COMPROMISED! MAYDAY!"

Iris - Squad 2

The pleas of Iris's fellow heroes reached her, of course, but she was doing this for them. This man had hurt them, bad, and for that he deserved to suffer. A peaceful resolution was too good for him.

However, there was one voice that stood out to her, and it wasn't coming from one of her normal teammates. It was Marky, weak voice declaring that she was a monster. Her first instinct was to scoff. He was just like those bullies growing up. Spouting a lie that she'd believed for too long.

But she had real friends now, friends who wouldn't judge her based on appearance, friends who... were currently desperately trying to get her to stop what she was doing. Wait... what was she doing? Was she seriously trying to drag a person into millennia of torment?

Iris visibly recoiled as her tentacles retreated into the portal, and moments later, her human-esque form emerged, looking thoroughly disgusted with herself. The worst part wasn't that she didn't understand what had happened, it was that she did. She could play back her entire thought process leading up to that decision, and morality only reared its head as an afterthought.

What was... wrong with her?

IW - Tall Building

Mahvash already held Martin, who felt uncannily like a sac of jello, but made no move to straighten him and shuffle up more of those bone fragments until he started acting anyway.

She shook her head at Holiday. "You said that backwards." Hm. And there was Saint. "The situation has changed though. Don't relax. The situation's still active. Finish up. You have the cuffs."

Hm. Holiday and Iris quite eagerly gambled on a TPK, and sheer damn luck resolved this situation. Well, 'resolved' it. But Holiday did skillfully take advantage of the opportunity.

Mahvash repeated her trick from the test way back when, making a makeshift stretcher out of rubble and setting Martin on it. With straps. And sailing it over to Ryuu and Marky—both aggravating their injuries at the moment—so she could send it off. She wouldn't wait. Their means of quick evacuation was standing in front of Saint at the moment and the most likely to know first aid was doing the same thing except with more cowboy gusto.

But given the way things had turned, out, those two got the job of escorting Saint back. Or better some prison off campus where he wouldn't get the chance to be a trojan horse.

Saint's still being able factored into alot. The instant she got the others on or heard their refusal, she would send the thing away to take less of her attention. In the meantime, she kept on alert.

Cain (2)

Cain ran over to Ryuu, picking him up while taking care not to injure him further. He swore to himself silently while running over to the others. "And what a fine mess this turned out to be. Going on sabbatical, my fine ass!"

"Hey!" he shouted. "The boy's hurt! Hell, nearly everyone's out of fighting condition, physically or emotionally!"

Cain took a deep breath to steady himself. "We need to go get help for him, and the others, now. They won't last too long without medical aid."

Holiday – Tall Building (Squad 2)

“Iris, focus. We'll talk about that later. You did fine. And calm yourself, Cain. I can tend to them now,” Holiday assured, quickly but securely snapping the cuffs onto the Saint's wrists and briefly instructing him to stay put under watch from Adam before she made her way over to Cain to relieve him of Ryuu momentarily. After depositing a pair of mats and laying him on top of one, she then approached Marky and carefully helped him over to the other; gently laying him down also before she began to swiftly review her surgery tools.

“I'll take the time to stabilize you but you'll obviously need full medical attention,” she explained to Markus—seeing as he was the one still conscious—before searching for a vein and injecting him with a strong painkiller. A second or two later and she'd done the same to the unconscious Ryuu. “Do me a favour and relax. Genuinely. That's not empty words. You've done enough, so let me take care of you for now.”

I have the horrible feeling that this is far from over, so I better be quick.

Broken limbs she couldn't do much more than splint for now, but at least the cuts and superficial wounds she could disinfect and patch up. Through methodical calculations and robotic precision she worked quickly and efficiently on the pair in a consecutive fashion; sometimes swapping between the two midway whilst logging her current progress on the other. Yet while she was efficient she was not ungentle, and made sure her every move remained as painless as she could. Though admittedly a lot of that was due to the drugs that she pumped into them.

A little less than ten minutes passed, and she'd done all she could on the field. Martin was a limp sack of potatoes and if she had a stomach she'd have been sure to feel a spike of nausea just from looking at his form. As it stood, she simply looked at Mahvash with recognition of her desperation and nodded to her.

“We're packing up. Anyone else with relatively minor injuries please hold on if you can. If not, approach me now and I'll address it ASAP. If no objections, we're moving. I'll carry Ryuu if he doesn't wake. On that note; Markus, you should be able to move with relative stability. For now I think it best to escort Saint to headquarters. Transport him elsewhere later if we can. As soon as everyone is safe.”

As she said this, she began to try and shake Ryuu out from unconsciousness. One more person who could walk by their own power would help their pace. Plus she sent out a signal to the distant ACPs to home in on their position and help escort. Anyone who had happened to be missed could be picked up by them.

She hoped. That dreadful feeling hadn't even slightly gone away.

Saviorverse-Prophet

The message came through clearly to Prophet, and for a moment he was frozen in disbelief. The Saint had failed? Sure it had been a possibility in the same way that it might have been possible to walk through a rainstorm without getting wet. But this was the reality they were faced with, an entire world built on the legacy of someone who had been defeated with their first steps into the multiverse. So many people left screaming in helpless agony, true justice left undone.

And to us, is there anything more unacceptable?

Static rolled off his body in a wave as Prophet extended his mind to the Saviors who had come to the area. The Saint has fallen, effectively immediately I am taking full control over the mantle of high command for planetary defense under the lines of succession. Any argument will be seen as a direct threat to the continued preservation of peace and result in instant termination with extreme prejudice.

With that command given he turned away from his path to the University and faced the collected heroes. "The Saint has been killed by the heroes of your world, which makes all of you linked to the organization responsible. In other words, you are judged guilty. If you submit now your executions will be painless your souls will be given direct access to whichever afterlife most suits your natures."

Ellie, clip the wings off of the angel and drag her to ground. I don't want her pulling off any divine intervention or pulling out healing. Prove your loyalty to the Saviors once and for all. Remove the stain left on your history.

Liam bring up every battle capable bit of technology you have ready, pull from active areas if needed. Anything you need you will have full access to. Any of them you kill you will be allowed to study to whatever degree you wish.

Vivian, coordinate with Liam and bring them down hard and fast. You will be given full access to this failed version of yourself to do whatever is needed in the future.

Zach, smash.

Giving no moment to process the sudden turn of events Prophet summoned a ball of pure psychic energy into his hands, appearing as a floating glitch in reality itself as his eyes filled with static noise. With a flick of his wrist he sent the blast directly toward Cole, having felt the boys tremendous psychic might and wanting to hold him in check. Beyond that keeping his foes on the defensive just meant he could wear on them faster. And the weaker they were.

The easier it will be to take all the things they don't deserve.

Cole - Squad 3 (65)

And it was just as well that the time for listening and holding back was done. Cole was eager to get right to the point where he punched out some fascist fucks, and now was the time. Seeing that the head honcho seemed to detect his own power, Cole lashed out and threw the psychic blast aimed at him off to the side. A bitter smirk showed on Cole's face, "You made a real big mistake picking me for your dance partner, Darth!"

He then clenched a fist tight, blue lines of force appearing across his fist...and then Cole leaped in, flying super fast at Prophet to deliver his super strong, psionically amplified punch.

Figures that the ruler of this dystopian hellhole was another psychic. Wonder if he knows Ignis? I mean all these kinds of guys tend to know one another.

Liam looked up as the loud and annoying alarm went off - The Saint being compromised was not exactly outside of the realm of possibility. The rest of the Saviors it seemed probably got really surprised by what happened. He however had never bought into The Saint's whole image. He was a man, and thus was fallible as humans ever were...

...And that was when the worst case scenario began.

Liam had been prepared for it, but that didn't make it any easier when he heard the mental transmission come in. Prophet announced the fact he was taking over, and Liam wanted to say something, but the idea of disputing his succession would be entirely too much right now. So he'd just go with it so long as his research wasn't threatened.

"...Alright...time to crunch some spleens." Turning and looking at the Gigantothopter, Liam shouted, "Barnett, battle time, get the Gigantothopter moving! I'll get Specialized Combat Thopters up here to support Viv and the others."

"O-O-Ohh, I love-love-love using the Gigantothopter! All Weap-Weap-Weapons authorized?" The odd metallic reverberating voice came out of the Gigantothopter's suddenly active red eye, and it began to take flight. It flew up and right next to Liam.

"Every single one." This precipitated all eight of the Gigantothopter's arms activating, while Liam readied his shapeshifting metallic body.

Liam turned to look at Sam and Mason. "...I'll take Sammy and that one there. The kinda boring one."

Foundation HQ

In the aftermath of the battle with the Saint, the staff at Foundation HQ were appropriately relieved, dismayed, and bewildered in that order. Relived that everyone had come back, dismayed that not everyone had come back in one piece, and bewildered at the outcome.

As soon as the Wonders got back, Marky and Martin had been rushed to the infirmary. With Hello administrating to their wounds, it wouldn't take long for them to regain consciousness, though it was still recommended for them to take it easy for a while. The Saint had been taken to their most secure holding cell, a barrier of pure dense energy reinforced by Bozo's magicks. It was said that nothing could escape it, not even the Saint, though it had rarely been put to the test. Though the Saint seemed in no mood for a breakout.

That just left the rest of Squad. They had been called back to the conference room, presumably for debriefing. Interceptor had already seen the states Marky and Martin were in when they arrived, and was even more shocked at seeing the Saint himself in cuffs. So it wasn't a surprise that he wanted to hear what happened from the horse's mouth.

"So. From what we were able to gather, Martin was beaten to a bloody pulp, Marky's manhood is now in question, Iris had what could charitably be called 'an episode', and the Saint surrendered of his own free will. With all that being said, I believe there's only one appropriate response. What in God's name happened out there?"

Holiday – Foundation HQ (Squad 2)

“Literally everything you just said,” Holiday said helpfully, hands crossed lightly behind her back, “along with other words. There was also a giant sparkly middle finger that flashed him to the accompanying orchestrations of Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. No idea why. Maybe the god of f$&% yous hated him so much he put on a grand fireworks display to stick it to him. On a more serious note, yes. Saint naturally beat everyone to the curb, I managed to get a shot off, then he was weakened, then he was apparently pretending, and then he beat everyone to the curb again but worse. Then...”

Her overworked memory blanks forcibly shut off her tongue a moment to reevaluate the whole situation prior, before it let her continue her nigh-nonsensical spiel once more.

“...things happened– yes, a newcomer came. Jezebel, as I recall. Demonic heritage? She called bull on the Saint's excuse for his apparent power boost and that's when he broke down and gave up. That's the short version anyway. I myself am a little overworked in the head—don't know if you could tell. Any further questions will have to be proposed at my allies.”

She grinned sheepishly at them for that. “Sorry about that. Maybe I'll make a nice hot cocoa at the end of the day and tuck you all in to make up for it.”

As was typical of Holiday, everything she said was difficult to tell between a joke and complete sincerity.

Lily – Saviorverse (Squad 1)

The situation had become an actively violent one, and a part of Lily felt a strange sense of relief from it. It was, after all, her element. A dance where a slipup didn't mean a fall, but surefire injury or even death. That aspect was never the thrill of it, though. It was making art.

But sometimes she didn't enjoy her work.

As soon as the others made their move Lily made sure she was sticking firmly by Sam's side, stance loose and ready to adapt to whatever came her way. Water flowed and siphoned into her in preparation to form paths through the air, which would allow her to move smoothly and precisely when she needed to. Furthermore, small crystalline needles formed around her person, and with a slight flourish she launched them at high speeds towards whichever Saint was the easiest target.

Every moment in time could make or break a battle. And for a dancer, an off beat could similarly make or break a performance.

Interceptor rubbed the bridge of his nose as he listened to Little Miss Snarkatron tell him the details in her own particular fashion. "Holiday, and the rest of you. I understand if you're somewhat fatigued after what you've been through, and I'm sorry if you would rather be doing anything else just now. But we need to make sure that everything has been accounted for. As for Jezebel, she's actually set to join the Foundation as our expert in demonology tomorrow. Used to be human until a few years back, but that's not my story to tell. If you want to know more, you'll have to ask her."

He turned toward the others. "So. Is there anything Holiday left out, or does that about cover it?"

Gloria, Squad 1

From the moment she arrived here, the Saviors have done nothing but talk down to her and the others about how great their idiotic philosophy is and that if she only understood what they did, she’d be on their side. They created a world so horrific that people resorted to attempted murder just to escape. Still, even though it might be naively optimistic, she had to wonder… would people actually continue to follow these saviors after the Saint’s turn? Without him, their ranks included... some incel fedora-tipping scientist, a demon exhibitionist, and a guy with a serious messiah complex… they were powerful and threatening sure, but they had no charisma. Still, it’d probably be best not to underestimate them. Fear and strength were still powerful motivators, sometimes moreso than charming personalities.

Honestly though, was there even a point to fighting them right now? The Saint wasn’t a threat anymore. As far as she was concerned, unless the other Saviors invaded their world, they were done.

“We shouldn’t stay here very long. Their leader is already lost to them.”

For a moment, it looked like she was going to attack Liam or Prophet. But instead she sent a laser of holy light at Ellie.

Marky - Squad 2

Well, there's consciousness again.

Before long Marky woke up to Nurse Hello and the whole room. He couldn't move all that much, and it looked like he was wrapped up in gauze 'n' all. Groaning and laying his head back, Marky could almost wonder if he was still intact in general, not just in regards to his masculinity.

Though it did feel like he was perfectly well intact. Just...still in a lot of pain.

"H-Hey Nurse...status upd-date?" Marky almost fell unconscious again just talking. Yeah he was not gonna be in working condition for a while. And that made him feel sick. His body was broken, and it had been made gruesomely obvious that he was no match whatsoever for The Saint. Were his petty pretenses nothing more than vanity?

If there's more to these guys than just The Saint, I won't be of much use to my friends the way I am. I need...I need to, somehow, get stronger. I need to get faster. I need to be better. And I need to be so before things get much worse than this. Because there's no way I'm walking away from the next fight if this is all I can give.

I have to talk to someone about this.

Squad 1 - Saviorverse - Nariko

Negotiations fell through, after it was revealed that the Saint had been killed. Apparently.

That struck her as out-of-character for Squad 2, especially Martin, but she supposed it was possible for them to kill him by accident. Especially that Daeva, given she could erase things from existence.

Nonetheless, words had failed, and now it seems they were in for a fight. Nariko was moving even as Prophet spoke, and flashed behind him, blades already extended for a series of strikes, dancing in and out of his striking range, using all five of her limbs to slash at him.

If he was even a fraction as strong as their Martin, she doubted she could harm him. But she could distract him, making an opening for Cole to get his hit in.

Ellie clenched her fist, electricity crackling as she narrowed her eyes at the angel.

Don't need to tell me twice.

She vanished with an ear-splitting crack, avoiding the holy beam, re-appearing above and behind Gloria with a flash of lightning.

Ellie brought her heel down on Gloria, in a lightning-charged axe kick that could shatter concrete.

"Thunder Crash Drop!" She roared.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

Prophet-Saviorverse-

Prophet watched as his attack sizzled against Cole's shield, a content smile coming across his face. "I see, well isn't that interesting?" as the other Saviors began to move he prepared himself for the charge put against him, but it wasn't just a forward assault, he could practically taste the other attack in the air. "Not bad," only one strike of Nariko's dance drew blood, which would probably be uprising to the girl on its own, but any subsequent blows were blocked along with Cole's psychically charged fist against an intangible barrier that had suddenly formed around him. "Your raw power, and your skill," he turned back to look at the rat woman who had assaulted him from behind. That was new, but then again so was the angry child whose fist was still holding against an invisible shield. "Thank you for your contribution to the continued safety of this world."

(75)

To Cole the barrier would feel strikingly familiar, not just a copy of the ability but an absolute recreation down to the very signature. With a small push of power he created enough room for him to leap into the air, landing in a modified stance that Nariko would recognize as an offshoot to her own 'Art of Five Limbs' developed to allow even those who lost use of their tails to continue through a fight. "Psychic powers, I'll rank them a solid 8. Boosted agility 5, maybe 6 if pushed. The martial arts were a poor matchup, but they can't all be gems." he straightened himself back out. "Now then, I would like to try a few things, feel free to come at me with everything you have." Prophet seemed rather laid back given the dangerous situation in front of him. But then again for him, there was nothing to be afraid of.

Foundation HQ, Infirmary

"Oh, you're up!" Nurse Hello hopped over to Marky after injecting Martin with another salve. Already his injuries were starting to heal, though with the state he was in, it would take another few doses at least. "Goody! Almost thought you'd still be out for an hour or two. But hey, no need to worry, sweety! By tomorrow morning you'll be good as new! I think. Mr.Happy's still up in the air. But I'm sure it'll be fine!"

She started to walk back over to Martin, but stopped in her tracks before whirling back around and throwing on her game face. "Seriously though, what in the world were you doing out there?! It's not like this sort of thing isn't dangerous, but this? And Martin's even worse. If it weren't for me, you two would be in the morgue and that's a fact!"

She took a deep breath before pinching her brow, even as her eyes started to mist up with traces of tears. "I've been looking after you guys since high-school, you know? Even back then you were always getting into all sorts of scraps from one minute to the next. But it never got this bad! I don't know. Maybe it's just the reality of it all finally hitting me. But at least promise me that from here on out, you won't be so reckless. Because I won't always be here to patch you back up. Just promise me that. Please."

Squad 1

Sam could only glare at Prophet, sliding into his own battle position, the air around him seeming to become of crystal. He didn't know if it was real, but he wouldn't pu

"Just focus on holding on until we can retreat" He whispered, before yelling something to Prophet "Given that you tried to mess with our world, you have no grounds to stand on, and I doubt he really got killed anyway" He turned to Liam, as a giant fist formed and went to smash the contraption.

Samuel just rose his own hand, as a long blade formed on his hand. The mark on his arm expanded to it, covering the ice and changing its shape and making it more rugged.

Vanishing like he was a ghost, he aimed the first swipe to the group.

Squad 2

Ryuu rubbed his head, shaking off whatever dizziness he had left. At least his breathing went back to normal. But there is still a lot to go through. And the recovery seemed the first rouch challenge.

"Jumping on an uphill battle going badly until it doesn't" He said, trying to remember everything, but some things seemed blurry.

Too bad it didn't erase a few more...unpleasant things

Wake me up at your own risk.

Saviorverse-The Vivians

Alt!Vivian had been watching the confrontation down below with great interest. Like Liam, she'd never been too passionate about the Saint's heroic legacy, having been raised as a non-powered hero. She'd also harbored doubts and reservations about sending him "next door" to try and convert the heroes there, but holding her tongue was only practical given the support the idea had apparently received from the other Saviors. Still, the fact that they had somehow killed him (though she wondered who they had over there capable of doing that) did rattle her.

Therefore she had grinned her best fighting grin and was fully prepared to leap off the roof onto the heroes assembled below when Martin's pronouncement rang out in her mind. Oh, goody. It's all legal now. I haven't had a fight in ever so long. Most of these poor bastards don't know how to do more than throw a decent punch. She was so enthused, in fact, that she actually forgot about her alternate for a millisecond. Tyranny unchallenged can breed complacency, after all.

Her memory was quickly restored by Vivian wrapping her arms around the other robot from behind in a full nelson and bringing Alt!Viv smashing facefirst down with a loud crunch. "You've probably been studying more kungfu and savate, things like that. Logical. Me? I realized from the first that I can do things that a human wouldn't want to try without injury. And I've been watching Wrestlemania." As the other lady started to raise her head, Viv darted forward and simply drop-kicked her in the face.

As she again bounded to her feet, Alt!Viv flicked out a hand and a small sphere attached itself to her double's chest. As it exploded, Vivian stumbled backward, a jagged hole in her body. Alt!Viv simply tackled her off the roof and into an adjoining building...as well as through the next two floors, from the sound of it.

Gloria, Squad 1

Gloria was knocked down to the ground face-first as she was kicked in the back by Ellie. Thankfully angels were quite hardy, or else she frankly probably wouldn’t have got up from that.

Struggling through the pain, she got back on her feet again. She quickly charged at Ellie, throwing her fist at her that was bolstered by her naturally high strength and holy flames that surrounded her fist.

Cain (2)

"Well," Cain observed drily. "At least you two are alive. For now."

He crossed his arms in the corner of the infirmary.

"If you want to be turned into vampires, just come to me, alright? It might take some getting used to, but it might save your life in the future..." he murmured softly.

Who was he, a sentimental old fool? He'd only met these pups! Cain snorted, turned on his heels, and stormed out of the infirmary.

Wilma (3)

Wilma came running out of nowhere, a smaller, humbler glitch in reality, Inspiration humming in the air around her.

Her SWORD was thrust forward as she slashed at the Prophet wildly, wearing a set of knightly, shining white paper ARMOR.

The heart on her left hand pulsed vivaciously, three strokes left.

"Leave Cole alone!" she hissed, the light of Madness suffusing her eyes. Ah, so this is what the old man meant by us having a hard time... she thought to herself.

I wear the skin of the Elder Things, having come unto my own.
