Opened.
I don't have an issue with the current.
(Annoyed grunt)on the suggestion. Replacing a poster that has the entire cast with a poster that only has 3/4 of the cast is a bad move.
Current is fine
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Keep the current.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Yeah, I'm good with the current.
Just 'cause I was curious, I went looking for other possible images for this page, and this movie doesn't have a lot of decent-quality posters or DVD covers online. That's really surprising.
The only ones I found are this alternate DVD cover◊ and this steelbook cover◊.
bumping. i honestly don't see a problem with the current image, however we can probably make a crowner if anyone has other ideas.
Twitter/Instagram: anzasquiddles. Deviantart: anzahanifathallah.Too similar to the image on the franchise page.
Clock is set.
Six votes to keep current.
Also, I retract my previous suggestion. Make that seven votes.
"Get me a gun, I'm a soldier; but put me in that suit and I'm a superhero." - Gunnery Sgt Roberta "Bobbie" Draper MMCAnd there we go. I'll tag the page in a sec; locking up.
So, I'm on the page for Ghostbusters (1984) and the image is... well, it's okay, I guess, but I think we can do better.
Basically, the current image is a DVD cover from a few years back with... well, average photoshopping. In replacement, I propose one of the original movie posters, as can be found on Movie Poster Awards under "Ghostbusters (1984)", specifically this one:
Advantages, as I see it, is that chosing one of the original posters better reflects the original film and how it was marketed. It also brings it in line with the other Ghostbusters film pages, which are visually represented with their movie posters rather than DVD covers. They're also, I'd argue rather more iconic than the DVD cover. Plus, frankly, I just think the movie posters look much, much better.
Disadvantages... well, it doesn't have Ernie Hudson or Slimer in it. The former is a reasonable critique IMHO (especially since Hudson's kind of been neglected by the films in general), but that would seem to be the only real advantage the DVD cover has over the movie poster and it's not, to my mind, a convincing enough one to keep the DVD cover over the movie poster.
Honestly, this isn't a hill I'll fight to the death on, and I'll willingly accept the consensus if it goes against me, but to be honest I don't think the DVD cover is good enough as an image, I think there are better ones that can be chosen, and think the current image should be swapped out.
