Fire Emblem Three Houses (Spoiler Thread)

Leonie's hair is about what I expected: not quite as long as her War Phase look, but definitely longer than her Academy Phase look. I think it's nice.

We already saw Lorenz in earlier marketing material, but he's definitely looking fabulous here.

FEAR THE DEER, BABY. Not a single member of best house got done dirty here and I am LIVING. I said it myself, they all better look absolutely immaculate, and I fucking manifested this shit y'all.

Marianne summons an attack Dorte. Consider me sold on her. Also, Leonie being Leonie ( CAPTAINJERALT).

I'm just glad they didn't make her hair more like Jeralt.

Is her panties still branded with the Jeralt Mercenaries logo?

Yeah, Leonie's new haircut helps a lot with making her stand out on her own.

All the Golden Deers got good glow-ups IMO. Marianne looks even more like Berkut & Rinea's daughter now, and Raphael earthbending was a treat to see.

Leonie got a soccer mom bob cut. Lysithea feels like a less detailed version of her canon time skip design, and Ignatz hair is such an upgrade from both of his previous haircuts.

Not much to say about Lorenz and Raphael, but Marianne is my absolute favorite redesign out of all the characters we've seen. Finally seeing her with her hair down is a treat.

Overall, this is the house that faired the best with the new time skip designs. Lions is in second place, only because of Ingrid's Karen haircut, and Eagles is in last place for the abomination formerly known as Caspar. If we get the Wolves, they'll have at least third place secured thanks to that Caspar redesign.

Did Caspar break your heart that much?

Honestly, they are all on the same lvl for me, but Dimitri needs his awesome eyepatch.

His time skip design was one of my favorites in Three Houses. Even in challenge runs I recruited him for the eye candy if I didn't choose BE and he was the second character with a completed support log.

The spikey short hair, the widow's peak and most of all the scar that goes into the hair just ruined his appeal for me. The old design felt like what a kid thought was cool and they were mostly right, while this one looks like what a kid thinks is "edgy" and they're mostly wrong.

Honestly, I think Caspar's new design really fits his personality way more since Caspar seems to be that type of dork that thinks he's cool rather than actually being cool.

No. The belief is based on the fact 3Hs had a 4th route named after snow which, while not actually promoted, was foreshadowed by the game's japanese subtitle: "Wind Flower Snow Moon". And since Three Hopes also has a similar JP subtitle, everyone is expecting the hypotetical "Snow branch" to be either a Golden Path or a hidden 4th route like CF.

I find it funny that despite being the hidden route, CF is more accepted as the Black Eagle route than SS.

And that VW is basically SS but better since it has Claude.

It doesn't seem like Three Hopes has a fourth route, but who knows.

The thing with Silver Snow was that it relied entirely on the twist of your Lord turning out to be an enemy... which most people figured out and wanted to side with her anyway. And it's a Late-Arrival Spoiler by now. The only way Three Hopes can pull off a route split at this point is to somehow do it with a different house.

Honestly, the only fourth route I can see Three Hopes doing is letting us side with the Slithers against all the other factions, and it's very unlikely that Nintendo will let us side with a faction as evil as them. They even had to soften up Edelgard and pretend some of her warcrimes didn't happen in CF, no way they let us control an outright villain protagonist.

Then again, Hyrule Warriors let us play as Ganondorf complete with his own story missions, so maybe the Slithers are on the table.

Yeah, but Ganondorf is a cartoonish supervillain, while those who slither in the dark are fantasy Nazis (yes, they're Nazis). The connotations are a bit different. (Kronya and Solon are playable in Heroes, but Heroes exists in its own space where nothing matters).

There are three more Fridays before Three Hopes is released, which means three more preview slots. This means they can devote one to the Ashen Wolves, one to the Church of Seiros, and one to the new characters. Maybe the Ashen Wolves will be in the game after all, and they'll have their own full route.

It would definitely be nice if the Ashen Wolves are in the base game, though I’m still bracing myself for the possibility of them being DLC.

The fourth route is Shez going rogue and killing every last one of them: every house, the Church, and the Slithers. Then they set their sights on other countries, aiming to be God Emperor of the world.

And then, at the very end, it's all revealed to be Shez's dying dream just before Byleth removes their head from their shoulders.

Because that's the only suitable ending for a murderhobo.

See, I can understand that point of view (I myself use it with Bernie), but I can't agree to it. Caspar's original design was not "cool" in a traditional sense, but in a childish one. His new design is not "dorky", it's trying too hard to be edgy and failing miserably at it.

And then it becomes the origin story of how the Slithers rebuilt them, infused the other god thinger into their head, and returns the player to the beginning of the campaign.

And because it's the Slitherers who put them back together, Shez immediately falls apart the moment you try inputting any controls, and all you can do is sit there while the enemy wails on their pieces until you get a game over.

...Yeah, I've been playing tERRORbane lately.

Joking aside, I really do not hope a fourth route goes the murderhobo route. I've never liked murderhobos all that much, and that playstyle tend to draw a rather unpleasant crowd.

I do wonder if this game will have a History Mode. I haven't played Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, so I don't know how that game handled its extra mode (assuming it has one), but I suppose it's probably safe to say Three Hopes might have something close?
