Ok, this worries me since I'm not a huge fan of Ragnarok.
I prefer things like CGI He-Man cartoon, Sonic movies, Batman Brave & Bold. Sure, don't take yourself too seriously but at the same time, embrace the Narm Charm and don't just say "Thor is such s ridiculous concept, just turn him into a huge joke."
Look at Transformers, this is a franchise that did a good job treating was between space robots that turn into cars like it's a genuine epic tale.
Well, I thought Thor: Ragnarok was awesome, so I'm the opposite of worried!
Ah, yes, the movie where even when Asgard burns down to the ground, it's still played for a joke.
I look forward to not being able to have emotional reaction to anything that happens on the screen.

The Doctor is in.Honestly, if I was casting He-Man, I'd probably go with someone in the vein of say, Steve Reeves or one of those "Actor-Bodybuilder" types - someone able to go for an aesthetic like what Steve had during the course of say his early Hercules movies. There aren't that many nowadays because bodybuilding has shifted away - to its detriment - toward a look that just doesn't agree with filmography. And I say that as a bodybuilder. The sport - when it pivoted away from the look of Bob Paris - was damaged, in general and in terms of potential for people crossing over into film.
However there are some who I think fit a photogenic look. For example, let me say I think Maximilian Acevedo would make a very good He-Man.
He has the kind of mass a lot of young male actors lack these days, which is required to play He-Man. He wouldn't need to gain much more, and he has a filmography already established.

Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.If by some miracle the movie is released, I hope Evil-Lyn isn't a case of "She's only evil because an evil man corrupted her."
According to Variety, the live action film has been officially passed on by Netflix. However, currently costing $30 million, Mattel is looking for a new buyer of the film.
A spokesperson for Mattel confirmed that “Masters of the Universe” is no longer at Netflix, but did not provide any further comment. A Netflix spokesperson had no comment.
However, sources close to “Masters of the Universe” said after that point the streamer refused to shell out more than $150 million to see up-and-comer Allen (“American Horror Story,” “A Haunting in Venice”) pick up He-Man’s sword. A source familiar with Netflix said the stock drop was irrelevant to budget issues on “Masters,” noting that its content spend has been flat at $17 billion for two years, despite market fluctuation.

In an interview with DiscussingFilm, The Nee Brothers talk a little about the upcoming Netflix film:
Funny enough, I’ve been telling people for years that Thor: Ragnarok is a pretty good He-Man movie when you really think about it.
