I love it when scientists shitpost and it becomes nature for the rest of time.
Here's an idea for the Doc Ock movie: that old 90s ad for Universal Studios that has him and Spider-Man fighting on the plane? Have the climax be him and the Big Bad fighting on the plane instead. That'll make for a fun ending.
Sorry for the random revival, but this was the only thread I could think of that would allow this to be talked about. Remember that Sinister Six movie? Some news about that came out, and it would've featured the characters heading to the Savage Lands where Spider-Man would've rode a T-Rex. Unfortunately, Sony didn't have the rights for the Savage Lands, and when they asked Fox for it, they said they didn't have it either.
Here's some of the casting they wanted for this movie. I guess Tom Hardy was too good of a casting choice for Sony to not consider him at all, even if he wound up playing a different character.
This thread will be active once the Kraven is fully operational.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I feel Morbius' failure was the fact that he's a vampire who doesn't kill people.
Leto does an okay job but I feel like they could have switched the casting and it would have been much-much better.
Matt Smith as Morbius and Leto as the villain who goes all Goth rock vampire.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. It's a pet peeve of mine when they hype up this protagonist as darker and willing to do bad things, but Morbius goes out of it's way to make sure the main character is squeaky clean and purely heroic.
And now, Kraven is shaping up to be more of that, even though Kraven is a straight up bad guy who wants to kill Spider-Man because of his ego.
Funnily enough, part of my problems with Lords of Shadow 2 despite enjoying it, is that Dracula there is redeemed in a shitty way because all his horrible crimes are glossed over because he keeps Satan and Zobek scared and he loves his son. Also God chose him.
The marketing promised me a villain protagonist Dracula, it instead gave anti-hero Dracula.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. The Spidey villains as protagonists are still being framed as morally ambiguous. It's just that they're really trying to make these characters identifiable so as to help sell each of them in a solo movie first while kind of making them different at least from what they were before.
To me at least, Black Adam managed the right tone with how it did it—in that it made him a very empathetic character while also calling him out on his actions more too. Morbius at least had him taking the human mercenaries out while in a crazed state as well.
Kraven also benefits from getting an R-rating hopefully because then it means they probably didn't hold back with the violence.
It's baaaaack. This time with Madame Web.
I legit thought the guy was Kaine before they ended up saying it's Ezekiel Sims.
Ezekiel with a role similar to Morlun...and even has a costume
I’ve prepared the page.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. That's actually looks like at least half decent to me.
If only because it's not trying to Pidgeonhole villains as the heroes.
Only very quick glances of spider-women though. Is the one with legs Mattie Franklin?
Why is Ezekial a bad guy in this?
Isn't that Morlun's job
Also was the acting.... Off to anyone or is it just me?

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Mattie's the one with the legs, yes.
Julia Carpenter is Sweeney's role and Merced is playing Anya Corazon.
I thought the trailer was pretty good except for Dakota Johnson. I do not understand how this woman keeps getting acting jobs because she's so wooden in everything she's in.
I'll probably go see this if just for the others.

Yeah, Mattie's costume is one of the most accurate costumes I've seen in these movies. Very spot-on.

Yeah I thought the others were okay. But holy hell Dakota is bad.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I haven’t seen too many of her films so I’ll withhold judgement until I see it.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.BTW the screenwriters Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless behind this. Credits are dracula untold, the last witch hunter, gods of Egypt, power Rangers and Morbius
Umh yikes that's a list of credits alright (I do like power Rangers at least)

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Uh… no? The trailer credits the director and another writer. Maybe they were involved at one point, but it doesn’t look like enough of their work is in the finished product for them to be credited.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.That's... wow. Every movie they've done was featured on The Flophouse.
That's... kinda impressive in its own right.
They also wrote for and produced Lost in Space (2018) so... that's relatively well-received, right? All I remember about it was people being thirsty for Robot.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Again. They aren’t credited on the final film. They were involved at one point, yes, but they aren’t now.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Oh yay. More Sony bullshit. Like dcutter said, it’s not a villain film, so they get points for that. But it also looks like it’s trying to cram in half the female Spider heroes, which feels like it’s going to be so much of a bloat that it negates those points.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, a Julia Carpenter movie would make so much more sense than the character most well known for being an elderly, cryptic mentor. Having Webb as the protagonist, but then also Julia and a bunch of others is just redundantly shoving in characters for the sake of shoving in characters.

Exactly what I asked, having my favorite superhero, which has probably the most original and interesting original story of the Spider-Family, being shoved into being a side character and having her origin rushed into the same as others!
Plus, I think there were leaks a while back that the plot would be about Not!Morlun trying to prevent Peter from being born. So that’s going to be the main focus while these other characters will be shoved to the wayside—going by the trailer, they’ll probably just get last minute powers for the climax without much attention to their usual origins.
I don’t mind Mattie Franklin being relegated to a supporting character, I don’t think anyone really cares about her. But this is definitely a disservice to Julia and Anya.
It's madame time!
First movie to sell one madillion dollars!
They gave Bad Bunny whichever character he wanted after how well-received his performance was in Bullet Train last year.
