May i assume if Toi and Kazuki have ever met before? I mean, their Forgotten First Meeting is exist or what? Micanga is the prove thing.

Just goes to prove Kazuki is the most self-centered of the three and intentionally ignoes any problems they have because it's not all about himself and his problems.

He can't even be bothered to remember Toi from their past, and so clearly ignores how hard Enta is crushing on him. Even Toi sympathized with Enta because it shows how much Enta cares about Kazuki.

I disagree. Kazuki is inadvertly hurting people by being stupid, but Enta actively went out of this way to hurt people. Kazuki has all the right to be pissed at this, and it's positively impressive that Tooi, his main victim, is so forgiving and sympathetic about it (and before Enta quickly realized his mistakes and tried to atone for it, at that).

The only curious thing about the whole set up so far is how it seems like Enta's first Sarazanmai leaked only to Tooi, not to Kazuki (unless Kazuki is indeed feigning ignorance).

No he's quite clearly ignoring these things and hurting the people involved. Toi himself pointed this out before only a few episodes ago because Entas crush is that obvious, and he sympathizes because he knows all too well how much his most precious person is and what he'd do to be with his brother, which has been loads of illegal shit. Including giving up his connection to Kazuki in the past, and even now wanting it despite choosing his brother. Which is also why he sympathizes with Enta.

He too wants to be connected with Kazuki but it feels like Kazuki doesn't want it.

Kazuki has always hurt people with his "Boohoo no connections" unintentionally or otherwise, which we saw as far back as the Neko Kappazombie or outright trying to take a person hostage to keep up the charade, and both boys still did everything they could to help him save his brother when he needed it.

I'm confused… why did the yakuza and Enta just die (?) from the gunshot even though Leo did the "desire or love" coin toss…?

They are real guns as well I bet!

Also we now know how they get away telling how they get rid of people in front of their fellow officers.

Wow, Enta may have been an asshole, but now I just want to punch Kazuki in the face (especially because Enta couldn't bring himself to do it).

And I forget Japanese media may be too passive-aggressive to provide the kind of heated discussion and finger-pointing I was expecting from this episode, haha

Episode 8:

So, Kazuki and Toi had met before Enta stepping to the scene? Hmmmm... This is getting rather confusing and yeah, Enta got back after he tries to return the dishes and got scolded by Kazuki and got shot by the cops. RIP Enta unless if Kazuki tries to help him.

As per the post-credits, he is trying. It's now up to Toi to answer the call.

I was under the impression that they were shifting over to Reo and Mabu as the bigger focus for the second half but episode 8 sure proved me wrong.

tbh I was more interested in Chikai and Enta bouncing off each other because their inherent biases surrounding Toi made for some great interaction and insight on themselves and their relationships.

I think one per leak scene only been showed by only one person so turn by turn. So of course Kazuki didn't know about his recorder being licked by Enta. He only knows that he was kissed by Enta when he was sleeping. And it also happened when Kazuki only knows that Enta stole dishes of hope. But he doesn't about their soccer field spot being sabotaged by Enta himself. That's why many different reactions got after leak scenes. Please, don't judge Kazuki always.

9 Wow, Chikai looked so chill last episode, I wasn't expecting him to be this far gone to even try to run away without Tooi at one point.

Well, that was certainly a thing that I watched. Drama! Goofy comedy! Drama! Weird metaphor shit! More drama! Most directors would cut down on the camp for an episode like this, but apparently not Ikuhara

This was not the thing to watch during a hormone swing. Goodness.

The show strongly suggests that Chikai knew taking Toi with him was not the good thing to do (hence frequently prompting Toi whether he wants out). Yet as we clearly see from the ending scene, Chikai truly wanted to keep his connection with Toi, even at the cost of screwing up his plans and then some.

In other words:

YOKUBO KA?

AI KA?

What a rollercoaster.

First, Keppi "dies", then Enta "won't be able to live past tonight"— oh, Sara put Keppi together and Enta gains some borrowed time as a kappa. Good Lord!

On the other hand, I'd like to say I got sad over Reo/Mabu and Toi's brother, but I didn't get invested enough tbh. I understand the impact of what happened though.

Yikes, a rollecoaster indeed. But a damn good one. Although at this point I can't decide if Sara is hypercompetent or a complete moron. >.>

There's two episodes left and I still don't know what message Ikuhara is going for this time beyond having something to do with bonds. Same with where it's going to go from here.

…Oh crap, I thought there was 12 episodes, but it's only 11?

I don't know how I'm gonna handle this ride coming to an abrupt, probably bittersweet end.

Well, the way I see it, we have two (possibly 3) conflicting interests regarding the dishes:

• The protags want to wish for Enta's recovery;
• Reo is going for getting Mabu back;
• Maybe Toi would want to resurrect his bro, but given what happened, that's not so likely.

Episode 9:

Yea, this is a definition of darkest hour... Enta is in a critical condition and Keppi got frozen but suddenly he got revived by Sara and swallow Enta but the latter has a few hours to live. This episode also has Reo encounter his negative counterpart and last but not least, Tooi's brother ended up getting shot even if he was a douche earlier. Yeah, truly a darkest hour for this episode/wham episode

Jackpot?

Welp, that was a depressing episode… Mabu finally manages to tell Leo that he loves him… but dies in the process. And Leo is not only killed by Tooi, but dies after forgetting about Mabu who was erased. Though I must say it was really cool to see a Kappa sequence with those two.

So apparently the prequel manga wasn't canon after all. It doesn't fit with anything we've learned in this episode.

I hope Reo and Mabu are Together in Death or something.

Them getting a kappa sequence was a pleasant surprise.

Haruka knows the actual Sara now, I wonder how long that's be going.

I feel like the endgame with the Otters is gonna been something like Persona 3 where they can't truly erase this human phenomenon, must acknowledge inner weakness and move on in spite of it, etc.

Even the paratext is getting in on the action. The official Reo & Mabu twitter account has gone completely dark, and they've been cut out of promotional material.
