Right, I just finished the First Episode:

Yeah... This is mostly just your average Isekai with nothing new at all. A guy who got killed by truck-kun, check, OP Main character, check. And yeah, this is basically an Isekai story where the MC got taught by Obi Wan Kenobi expy. Although I won't gonna lie that the anime feels faithful towards the manga so no comment although there's a lot of Cliché Storm everywhere

Episode 2:

Well, in terms of manga, I kind of stopped around Chapter 7 where that douchebag blond guy tries to scold Sicily. Also, man the subs for the name are a bit cringeworthy in this ep. For the episode itself, it was alright. Several scenes on Shin testing himself at school and tries to teach that blonde douchebag a common sense until his half-cousin interfere. Also, that outfit enhancements are pretty OP

Episode 3:

In this episode, we are introduced by our blindfolded villain and it's revealed that he's the one who make Kurt as he is right now (Being an asshole and all). And I'm not sure on how to feel about Kurt's death and even Shin doesn't like this despite Kurt being an asshole. In the meantime, he and his friends formed a new study club together cuz why naut :P and man the villain is truly a mysterious one

Episode 4:

Fortunately, the main villain is seemingly defeated by Shin but he ran away because why not? And he's actually a frigging mad scientist. Okay. And yes, Shin's group grows popular I guess?

Ohh, said Big Bad is an interesting one.

He actually achieves his goal of getting revenge on the Evil Empire that ruined his life...and then completely loses all motivation. Because he never really bothered to come up with an answer to And Then What?. His followers are thus left to their own devices. A bunch decide to run amok with their new demonic powers, while his most devoted followers try to find some way to get their boss out of his funk. The problem? They decide that the best way to do this is to antagonize the MC and his friends, since they think a Worthy Opponent is just what is needed to awaken their leader's ambitions again.

In case if I forget. Episode 5 (Just copy this cuz I'm lazy af):

Maria and Sicily have no mercy with poor Olivia, they want all the juicy details for Sicily to put them into practice with Shin.

Shin is a soulless, how he could give Sicily hope to receive some kind of jewelry as a gift and the idiot ruined it by saying that he had no romantic intention, just seeing how nervous and happy Sicily was captivated me, but she looked very cute when she was depressed by Shin's insensitivity. Even so, it's good that Shin knew how to solve his mistake and he give Sicily a ring that will undoubtedly mean a lot to both of them.

The small doses of fanservice are very funny, Shin had a close encounter with Yuri's breasts.

Rin has become my favorite, her curiosity about Shin's magic is very funny and her wild side for experimenting with magic too, her new nick is so funny and she seems to like it. Well, on the one hand war is coming and Strohm is behind this and no doubt what he has planned for the future has Shin as his main target.

I like the idea of ​​Shin in which he wants his classmates to raise their magical level, but Shin shows them the overwhelming power he possesses and they all looked very surprised and scared.

Merlin supports and helps Shin to feel normal, the old man did not know how to use "portal", but he learned to use it for Shin's sake.

Episode 6:

And thanks to Oliver Schtrom, the capital has been destroyed and several of the population has been massacred by demons while Oliver himself kill the king. In the meantime, Shin and friends are trying to hunt a demon along with the knights who were a jerkass at first but mellow down thanks to seeing Shin's powers. And yeah, Shin is jealous with other knights that treats Sicily nicely XD Also damn that ending though!

Episode 7:

And now it's time to go CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMPING!!! In Sicily's bathouse to train themselves fighting against more powerful demons in the future.

Episode 8:

In this episode, finally Sicily and Shin confess their love together and man those two new character are a bit funny due to the misunderstanding XD And yeh, instead of getting first kiss. Boob grabs are the answer

Episode 9:

Yay! Finally Sicily and Shin got engaged together. And Sicily looks gorgeous in her wedding dress in the episode. In the meantime, Shin also gave his friends some power ups in order to defeat the Catastrophic class demons

now we got an engagement which both parents approve of, the conversations between the adults was pretty reasonable too, as it has always been in this series. Sicily looks great in ponytail, but best girl is still Maria or budget Megumin

Episode 10:

Yay! We got into the main villain's backstory and needless to say, it wasn't pretty. Being tricked by the jealous nobles and then having your loved ones perished is not a good thing tbh so I can sympathize with Olivier. Though despite he already reached his goals, seems that his subordinates still wanted to see Olivier in action by attacking a nearby kingdom. This resulted on Shin and co. tries to rescue said kingdom with their new name: "Ultimate Magicians"... Seriously?

Episode 10:

didn't think i would feel sympathetic to Schtröm, but this episode put me on his side 100%. he wasn't even interested in being an Evil Overlord, just getting revenge for what happened to him.

damn, Schtröm is is well written, he would have been really good as a protagonist of his own story

Kenja no Mago has impressed me lately, it's a pretty generic Power Fantasy Wish-Fulfillment isekai, but it uses it's tropes well while having the characters not be stupid. the competent investigators in episode 3 is still the best plot twist of the season (barring whatever plot twist happens in Attack on Titan)

and that Schtröm has no interest in being an Evil Overlord beyond his revenge. though, from what i have heard, he weren't supposed to participate in the attack on the Kingdom of Sweed, but the anime had him join. that's a pretty bad change to add to the anime, as him not being a generic villain made him really likable

Episode 11:

Yeah, it's mostly about the heroes fighting against the demons in Kingdom of Sweed and man, they are pretty much a weak Smug Snake haha...And I didn't expect Olivier to join despite he already accomplished his goal. Okay?

yeah, from what i've read on the reddit episode discussion, it seems to be going anime original towards the finale

Guess so. Man, I really need to catch up with the manga same with Samurai 8. I'm currently in the part where Kurt isn't revealed to be a demonoid yet

Final Episode:

The demons retreat from the Kingdom of Swede although this gave Oliver's live a new purpose after the attack and yeah, he didn't join though. Also, in the meantime, August manages to earn the Swede King's trust and tried at their best to protect the kingdom so yay...

Final Thoughts: It's mostly an okay Isekai. Not bad but far from worse and I think it's easily skippable unless if you don't have anything to watch for. The only thing that I like is possibly Sicily cuz she's cute as hell :3 and Oliver isn't a bad villain either. But the rest...Yea, it's nothing special at all I guess.

this anime had surprisingly good animation and the last episode was basically a sakuga-fest. and it seems like they didn't deviate from the manga as much as people thought it would, as indicated by comments on reddit

still, rather average isekai with some occasionally good animation
