Where does the "The Remake" go? On original or remake work page? Or both?

If a work receives a remake, is there a policy where The Remake should be listed? E.g., for A Night at the Opera and its 1992 remake, the trope is listed on both pages. Same goes for Homage. Seems a bit redundant.

I see no reason to list The Remake or Homage on the original work, any more than you would list any tropes exclusive to adaptations or Fan Works there.

There is no real harm mentioning the existence of a remake on the originals page, in fact it's encouraged to help educate on overall history of the work. It probably would be more appropriate in the description than the trope list, though. I would argue the same thing regarding Follow the Leader in describing how the work became a Genre Launch.

Homage is different, since it is about isolated incidences in otherwise unrelated works and thus examples tend to be more speculative rather than innate. Not every example of someone saying "I have a bad feeling about this" is necessarily referencing Star Wars. Referenced by... has largely floundered as a trope because of that and because it's better covered by Shout-Out anyway, or even better a Trope Namer (like a "Mission: Impossible" Cable Drop).

The Remake is an above-the-line item on the original work. Put it in the description, not the trope list.
