Well, the odds are capitalism allowed that scale of travel to begin with.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.while Malty's final fate definitely feels like Dramatic Irony for what she did towards Naofumi, it would have been better if she got into that situation herself rather than Naofumi sending her there after she had already been defeated

Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistSo now that the Spring season is pretty much over, I can give my final impressions:
- Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai: Actually a pretty good adaptation. The tone and comedic timing of the series are well-rendered, notably thanks to some excellent sound design and voice acting. The flashy color palette might not be to everyone's taste though.
- Dororo: Having never heard of the original before, I really dug this readaptation. It's a tragic but beautiful story full of emotion and strong characters. Visual and sound were also on point… most of the time. *cough*episode 15*cough*
- Carole & Tuesday: The first four or five episodes were really strong, with some memorable scenes and excellent chemistry between the leads. But then it kinda… petered out into "just okay" territory with the Martian Idol arc. Episode 11 did raise the stakes again though, so hopefully the show gets back on its feet. At least the songs have been consistently excellent, except maybe one or two.
- Fairy Gone: A series with a rich lore, political intrigue, good animation and pretty cool fights, it's got twists, it's got tension… and I do not care about any of it. Really, this series is a mystery. I can't exactly get my fingered of why it does so little for me, but part of it is probably the humongous cast of cardboard cutouts and dubious musical choices. At least I'm interested in Marlya and Veronica's subplot, but it's hardly gotten any focus in this first half… I'll still follow the second half in the Fall season, but it's been a disapointment so far.
- RobiHachi: The little gem that flew under most people's radars. It feels both fresh and old school with a lot of funny jabs at the tourism industry, and the finale was everything I hoped for with our heroes accidentally saving the Earth from Idependence Day Aliens and getting marri… well, not quite, but close enough. I just wish we saw a bit more of each planet, as well as that Moon kingdom that's only talked about in the last episode. But there seems to be a Sequel Hook, so who knows…? Not AOTY material by any means, but an excellent palate cleanser.
- SARAAAA… SARAAAA… SARAAAA… SARAZANMAI!!!: A nice ride, albeit a disappointingly short one. I was afraid it would be overly mind-screwy after episode 1, but the rest of the show is thankfully fairly accessible while keeping a unique flavor to it. And as an aside, I like that it has a male protagonist who wears pink… for no particular reason. But yeah, a few more episodes wouldn't have been superfluous I think…
- Shingeki no Kyojin: I'm not sure they could have adapted this arc better if they tried. The pacing, the acting, the music, and of course the visuals… there were some really damn great episodes in there. There are a bit too many cuts in episode 21's dialogue, but it's a minor complaint really.
Best opening in the lot? Either Sarazanmai or C&T. I really like Bokuben's opening too. Didn't really care for Dororo's second opening though. =[
Best ending: RobiHachi's is one hell of an Ear Worm and I find Dororo's second ending more beautiful every time I hear it. "Maybe we can love this cursed world…" C&T's a bit behind but not far.
Best couple: Carole & Tuesday, Robby & Hatchi, Leo & Mabu… Yes, it seems like all the best couples this season are gay for some reason. Okay, to be fair L&M is the only one that's actually a couple (so far), so my vote goes there.
I'm definitely gonna miss Robihachi.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I also kinda want a Hizzer Krigger spin-off with this episode's opening theme and 60s style animation.

Nice that Yang got to move on in the end.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Hopefully his new crush doesn't have a moutain of debt to pay him.
Sarazanmai felt really satisfying indeed. I might go after RobiHachi later and check it out.
... And that's called jazz!finally finished Hitoribocchi, that was an adorable finale and i hope this gets a season 2, i need my seasonal sugar intake

Meanwhile, the best couple in the season visit a planet-wide tourist trap… which is what they've been doing from the start, but none had freaking planet ring ads. And Yang is once again the unsung hero of the story. Oh, and there's a twist at the end I guess.
Ain't it just fun to travel millions of light years only for capitalism to sell you more crap.
