-He pulled his hand back, startled-

Woah-! A talking fox....I didn't expect that.

“Hehehe~! Nobody does... usually,” the fox chortled with a grin ever-widening, flicking its ears and thumping its tails against the ground. They seemed to fuse and separate in a graceful, blurring fashion—like afterimages, or perhaps something more unnatural and breaking the laws of physics.

“You have a... big, shiny head...” the fox noticed, squinting at Saitama's hairless nogging and leaning forward a fraction. “Maybe I can... hehehe~!”

With a crunch of bone and a sound of shifting gristle, the fox's form began to warp and stretch upwards in height into a more humanoid shape. It seemed to pause for a moment—eyes blinking open on its now featureless body to assess Saitama again—before continuing, completing the transformation until the hero would find himself face to expressionless face with... himself.

Until a pair of fox ears sprang out from his doppelganger's head, and their blank expression scrunched itself up into a childish pout as they tried to squash them back down into their skull again.

“Aww! So close...” they grumbled—voice having rather disturbingly remained in the perky, feminine tone rather than Saitama's bored monotone. “Eh, what do you think? Is my head shiny enough?”

-Saitama is just giving them this-

“Hey! I'm a girl!” the fox says crossly, crossing their arms as they shifted into a form more feminine. Now resembling a young woman with a scruffy mass of bright, gingerish hair, she scowled at him in a manner that seemed more amused than genuinely insulted—a twinkle in her still-vulpine eyes indicating that she was enjoying herself.

“...Anyway. Who're you, then? I'm Yoko, for one. Do you always pet random foxes you find on the floor? That seems kinda dangerous,” she wondered, squinting at him as she flicked her tails out again and let them wave about absentmindedly behind her. “Not that I'm complaining! I should do that more often if that means I'll get pet~! Ano... I don't get pet so much anymore. Maybe that's 'cause I keep pranking them...” she frowned, seemingly thinking deeply about it before shaking it off with a smile and a flick of her ears. “Nahh~!”

-He looks blankly at her as she morphs into a more feminine form-

.....Uhhhh.

....Saitama. It's, uh-...Saitama.

-He scratches his head-

Well, animals usually avoid me, so it's nice to have one that will actually let me pet it...

-He looks back at her, irritated-

...But now that I know that you're a little girl, it's just skeevy now.

“I'm still a fox underneath, Saitama-san. I shapeshift into humans—not the other way around,” Yoko corrected, eye twitching at the ‘little girl’ remark. She was a good inch taller than him in this form. Admittedly that didn't make much difference, but it was something she took pride in. “And I'm nearing my first millennia alive. Though I get what you'd mean if it looked skeevy...”

She frowned as she considered this, before shrugging.

“Eh, it's not like you're obligated to pet me. Anyway, Saitama-san. You have a strange name. I'm aware this isn't the place I come from, so I'm assuming it's the same case for you? Where I come from, Saitama is a place, not a name.”

Her voice had noticeably changed then, and not simply because it had become more formal. Her tone had also lowered and calmed into one more befitting of her apparent age—carrying a note of something almost old-fashioned in the way she spoke.

...Well, I mean-...Idunno where you're referring to, but that's not THAT weird, is it? Lots of people have names that happen to be places.

Why do you sound like an old lady, now?.....

Breezy Place (RESERVED) (Aichi)

-Aichi is simply sitting by himself, trying to drink some fruit tea he ordered.-

-It's helping him feel a little better.-

-It's been a bit since he ran into Leos and Sthesia before, and now he's just taking some time to try to relieve some of the... well, stress.-

-His back is to the door, and he's lost in thought.-

(Dori decided to get some lunch at the Breezy Place, and when she enters, she sees a familiar blue head.)

Hey, Tsu! I didn't know you were getting lunch here!

-Aichi had only just set his cup down when he heard that voice.-

"H-Huh?"

-Aichi turns to face Dori with a confused blink.-

-He looks at her, and...-

"I'm sorry, but I think you may have the wrong person..."

-He offers a sheepish smile.-

-...Dori, his eyes match.-

-And if you look at one of his wrists...-

-...It has Ryusei's dad's watch. The one he's NEVER seen without.-

-Every single time you saw Ryusei's dad, he has always worn that.-

-And yet... he looks EXACTLY like Tsubasa right now. The only differences are his eyes and his clothes.-

Eh? You're not... Tsubasa?

(She notices the watch... Oh, Crap!)

Sorry, I confused you for someone else. My bad...

-'Tsubasa'... That's who she's looking for?-

-Although... he does have a weird feeling... It's something he can't quite put his finger on.-

-However, he shakes his head with a smile.-

"It's all right. I've made mistakes like that, too."

-...Although, knowing that she thought he was someone else... Was she looking for them?

"Would you like me to help you look for them?"

-However, before he can think of much more to say, she points out the watch.-

-He lifts the wrist that it's on with a smile.-

"It was given to me by a friend. It's... rather important."

-He needs it to protect himself and others... He doesn't want a repeat of getting captured by someone ever again...-

"Ehe... Not many people seem to notice it."

-Honestly, no one's really ever spoken to him about it or anything. It's actually kind of nice for it to get complimented.-

-Although... the way she said that makes that weird feeling he's getting even stronger.-

I'm, uh, Dori. Or, well, my parents called me Dorothea.

-That's a nice name, honestly. Foreign to him, but it's really nice.-

-Sort of familiar, he supposes?-

"It may sound strange, but you feel familiar... Have we met before?"

-Was it while he was a Zombie...?-

-The manhole rumbles and stirs, before FLYING straight off and up into the air!-

-Emerging from the hole, is a very Swashbuckly-looking fellow in a red coat-

-He looks around, head and arms poking out of the sewer hole-

....Ahhh, a city's sewer system! Imagine that! The odds of popping up in such a place! Ngyahahahah!

(She may know who Aichi really is, but it's polite to ask for a name, right? Especially after she introduced herself first.)

And what do you mean by familiar? You haven't swapped places with Tsubasa recently, have you?

(She says, with a teasing smirk.)

"I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Aichi Sendou."

-He says that with a smile, honestly feeling guilty about forgetting to introduce himself.-

-Ack, he's still not back at one hundred percent, obviously...-

-Aichi blinks, and gets a bit flustered and awkward in response to Dori's question.-

"E-Eh? No, I just mean that—"

-...Wait a second...-

-That smirk of hers...-

-It reminds him a lot of Sthesia.-

-Dori may be able to tell that Aichi suddenly got distracted from what he was saying, and is sort of staring at her, now.-
