Forgot to mention that if a character has the abilty to read minds or talk to animals, they can find out what Missile is thinking.

Police Station

I got up from my bed and went to check the records room. Some cops and detectives were there, looking at the crime scene and looking for evidence. 'Looks like there are some hoomans here as well. Just doing their jobs. I wonder, who tried to get in here? I wonder who was that girl from earlier, about me being a witness? Doing me a confuse. I need to get this whole 'Witness' thing off my mind. Well, maybe since I first discovered the scene. I need to go to Wright Anything Agency first to see if one of them will take this case. Hopefully Phoenix will.'

After checking out, I went out the front door heading towards the Agency.

Card Capital — Spider-Man

Peter tilts his head at the sight of the returned building. He is perched on a building across from it.

Streets

-Gene D. Zarther strolls casually through the city streets, taking in the sights. He's mellow as a marshmallow with a disposition that's just as light and fluffy.-

-You'd almost forget he's got a giant chained-up sword across his shoulders-

...Far out....Have I been to the big city before?...

Streets - Card Capital (Misaki)

-Well, it's not the only thing that's back...-

-...Because Peter can clearly see a certain teenage girl step out with a broom.-

-Her hair is shorter, but other than that, it's the same ol' Misaki from before she left!-

-She hasn't noticed Peter yet, just focusing on her just of making sure the outside of the store is presentable.-

Streets (PSYQZ Aichi)

-Aichi can be seen sitting at a table outside of a small shop.-

-He has managed to distract himself from the very bad feeling he keeps having well up in him at random...-

-...By getting some delicious ice cream. Yum~!.-

-Nothing quite like an ice cream cone... One scoop vanilla and one scoop strawberry.-

-He's been managing to get a few more teammates to join him, but sadly he still isn't having much luck...-

-But even so, he can't hunt for more teammates without something nice to eat.-

-He takes a lick of the ice cream with a smile before looking up and noticing Gene.-

-Oh! New person he hasn't seen before!-

"Oh, hello! I didn't see you there."

-So far he seems relatively normal, actually... The only thing even remotely odd to the eye at the second is how his eyes seem rather... empty.-

Card Capital — Spider-Man

Peter's lenses squint at her, before letting out the noise, "Psst," somewhat loudly.

Streets - Card Capital (Misaki)

-Annnnnnnnd Misaki definitely hears that, and looks up.-

"...!"

-Oh, Peter's up there...-

-Misaki looks both ways, seeming to make sure no one else is around before looking back towards Peter...-

"There you are..."

-Thank goodness. She's been worried about him with this whole 'Hyperion' and 'Handsome Jack' spiel...-

-Of course she can't really get over to where he is to properly speak to him, though...-

-So she gestures behind her, to Card Capital.-

Streets

-Gene takes note of the ice cream parlour, then the lad partaking in the frozen cream delights-

...!

Ohhh....Now there's something familiar to me!

...?

-He looks down at Aichi when he addresses him, and smiles-

...Hey, there!

....?

-He eyes his eyes curiously-

...Something the matter, Little Friend? Your eyes look sad and empty...

Card Capital — Spider-Man

Peter spins webs at either side of Card Capital, then takes a few steps back before stepping off the ground to catapult himself through the air and onto the ground, landing in a three-point position a few steps away from her. "Boy am I glad to see a friendly face," Peter says.

Streets (PSYQZ Aichi)

-The smile disappears, and is instead replaced with blinking and confusion.-

"Eh? Really?"

-He... doesn't think he's sad...?-

-Or, well... he was a bit ago, but he almost forgot about that with the deliciousness of the ice cream...-

-Before long he smiles again.-

"...Ah, I've just had a few things on my mind, recently..."

-Still, there's just something... off about him. Not easy to put into words.-

"...But that's OK. Everything will be perfect. I can picture it, clearly..."

-For just one second, you could almost swear that his eyes were glowing...-

Streets - Card Capital (Misaki)

-Misaki doesn't so much as flinch at Peter's quick movements, and nods when he finally speaks.-

"It's good to see you, Peter."

-She seems pretty serious... and it's definitely clear she's aware that something's going on. She may very well have been here long enough to see that footage...-

"...We can talk inside, if you want. There haven't been many customers over the last few days, so it's quiet."

-The Zombie mishap actually scared off a lot of customers, sadly... Now she's just stuck with Zombies showing up, trying to turn her into one of them.-

-...Which thankfully she's strong enough not to fall prey to them.-

Card Capital — Spider-Man

Peter nods and stands up straight before saying, "Yeah, please."

Streets

....?

-He tilts his head, confused.-

-Before smiling again-

.....Well, it's nice that you're stayin' positive! The heart is like a fickle wave....you've gotta keep your head above water, else you'll be sucked under.

-....what is he talking about-

...Man, I could go for some ice cream myself, actually!

-He approaches the stall, eager for Dairy Delights...-

Streets – Kloë Kinber

There was a rhythmic, clanking sound. The type associated with something heavy and metal gouging itself into concrete with strength enough to crush... well, concrete. A comparatively more quiet, hydraulic whirring was also audible, though to a lesser extent.

The interesting thing was that they were in patterns of four, not two. Though two sounded much heavier than the other. As if the person the metallic footsteps belonged to wasn't bipedal. Something which would be confirmed if one realised it was coming from above them. Presuming, of course, if they were already at ground level.

Khlosarine Kinber, or "Kloë" to those who knew her (of which there weren't many), was currently clinging onto the side of a building with two of her four spiderlike limbs that sprouted from her back, attached to a slightly bulky contraption seemingly embedded in her spine. She swayed uncertainly—her also robotic normal limbs flexing their joints as her eyes darted across the environment—before she continued in slowly lowering herself down, taking care to keep her distance from the group of strange and colourful individuals conversing nearby.

She wasn't stealthy by any means. But her admittedly intimidating visage plus her characteristically cold stare could help in warding them off. If nothing else she could encourage them not to approach her instead of hiding in the shadows like a coward. Not that she actually had any weapons on her, but her sharp spinal talons and mechanically enhanced strength would do it.

But she was clearly disguising weakness. Her spinal limbs dug into the ground as if to stabilize her, which appeared to be their actual purpose barring possible modifications to them. She wavered in a manner unsteady, and seemed to be wincing in occasional pain. But that stare was ever-present, and she rarely blinked. She had the appearance of a wounded animal.

And a cornered wounded animal could be dangerous.

Card Capital (Misaki)

"Come on in."

-She can deal with the outside of the shop later, this is more pressing.-

-Into the store they go...!-

-Upon stepping inside, Peter can see the adorable Sub-Manager sleeping in his basket on the counter.-

-Other than that? No one is present. It's... rather barren, actually.-

-Once they're both inside and the doors are shut...-

"...I saw the news reports."

-She needs to get to the point with this. No point in beating around the bush and acting awkward about this whole thing.-

"Of course, I've only seen what the media has shown, but for you to get involved like that..."

-...It's clear that Hyperion and Handsome Jack aren't up to anything good.-

Streets (PSYQZ Aichi)

-Aichi seems oblivious to Gene's confusion, and instead nods.-

"Yeah. Worrying about it isn't going to help us."

-If he worries, he might... dare he say it, get distracted during a cardfight? And he might lose?-

-It's honestly extremely hard to picture, given his extremely powerful PSY Qualia and how high on it he feels...-

-...But there is a chance... Even he needs to be careful.-

-He watches as Gene starts making his way towards obtaining his own delicious treats, and...-

"They have plenty of flavors. If you can imagine it, chances are that they have it!"

-Aichi however, tenses as he hears that clanking noise.-

"What...?"

-He starts looking around, trying to find the source of the noise.-

-He's not sure what that noise is, but needless to say, he's curious... and a bit wary.-

Peter follows her inside. "I wouldn't necessarily take Jack's word on anything," he says. "Were you here when he initially showed up? He let loose his band of bots and called it an occupation. There's also, uh..."

Peter looks around. "You mind if I go stick my phone someplace for a minute?"

Streets

-As Gene is about to reach his Dairy Destination, he is halted by the strange sounds reaching his ears-

....?

-He looks around, puzzled, walking back towards Aichi in a protective manner-

Sounds like something big and metal nearby.....You better stay put, Little Friend. I think we've got dangerous company.....

-He grips the handle of his massive chained blade, and approaches the source of the noise, still oblivious to whomst is making it...-

-She points behind the counter.-

"There's an outlet right next to the counter. Feel free to charge your phone."

-However, about whether she was here when Hyperion initially showed up...-

-Misaki averts her eyes for just a second, thinking.-

-Just when did Hyperion show up in relation to when she and Aichi showed up...?-

"...I'm not certain how long we've been here. We were back home for a year, but it seems like time hasn't moved much for the Nexus."

-Although... that doesn't answer the issue of whether or not Hyperion was here...-

"...Some things happened, and my memory of it is rather blurry."

-Something that can make her memory blurry... Needless to say, not something that's exactly pleasant for her.-

"The first thing I remember for certain involving Hyperion is seeing that news report of you punching Handsome Jack. Anything before that... fragments at best. I may have seen them, but..."

-...No clear memory of it.-

Streets (PSYQZ Aichi)

-Aichi sees Gene step in front of him, and gets a bit more of a serious expression.-

"Don't worry about me. I can defend myself."

-He stands and presses a button on his watch...-

-...Which suddenly covers him in armor, and provides him with a sword!-◊

"If it's anything dangerous, I won't stand by while other people could get hurt!"

-Actually, the shift in demeanor is rather noticeable. He's extremely determined...-

-...And something in his eyes actually does seem more alive while he's saying that.-

Card Capital — Spider-Man

Peter nods. "I guess I meant, like, a room where I can put it."

Card Capital (Misaki)

-Oh, right...-

"..."

-Let's see...-

"...He can look over it, and we can talk upstairs."

-She looks towards Sub-Manager, who begins stretching.-

-Seems he's awake!-

"Are you up for that?"

-And yes, she is asking the cat...-

-Who responds with:-

"Mreeow!"

-...Seems like a yes!-

Streets – Kloë Kinber

Well, she wasn't exactly being subtle anyway, so they would've roughly seen each other at the same time. But needless to say, Kloë's icy eyes were immediately drawn to Gene's weapon, and they narrowed into thin slits as she perceived them to be a threat. She didn't give him much of a chance before leaping towards him with a frightening launch from her spinal talons, rearing two of them up behind her head with a snarl in an instinctual effort to make her look bigger as she attempted to grasp at his chained blade and lock it into her grip.

“Attacking me on sight. Don't even think about it,” she spat, her face contorted with rage as her spinal limbs ominously readjusted themselves with two more reverberating clanks. “Knew this'd happen. WCR wants to rub my face in the mud even more, huh? That it? Come on. That tech ain't commercial. That's for the rich to have. Squash us into the mud.”

Her manner of speech was obviously unstable. She sounded paranoid, and out of her mind. But she hadn't acted yet. She couldn't just rip anyone to shreds. She needed confirmation first.

So there was ultimately uncertainty in her eyes. A question. And each of her previous phrases weren't rhetorical either. She was lost, after all, so she genuinely wanted to know.

As for Aichi, she seemed too focused on Gene to notice. Perhaps it was opportunity to attack her while her guard was down.

Or talk, too. That was also an option.

-By the time Gene looked up and noticed the oncoming Mecha-Spider-Girl, she was already within blade-grappling distance-

W-Woah-!!

-He dug in his feet to keep himself stable, as he held firm onto the hilt of his sword, utilizing his own brute strength to keep it from being wrenched from his grip.-

Gh-...A big spider!

...Wait- no...A girl!?

-He looks at her, a pleading look on his face-

Hey, hey, calm down! Chill, Sister!

Streets (PSYQZ Aichi)

-Aichi finally sees Kloë, after apparently having somehow missed her...-

-But before he can do anything, she suddenly tries to grasp Gene's blade.-

"Wait, what are you—"

-Needless to say, Aichi's rather confused about this whole thing and has been thrown off guard.-

-'Tech for the rich'...? Just what's going on...?-

"We don't know what you're talking about!"

-He's naturally very concerned since she seems... well, not exactly non-violent.-

-Even if he's brainwashed right now, he doesn't want to just... jump into a fight.-

-He was a bit anxious and got his armor ready rather quickly...-

"We're not going to hurt anyone, please stop this now!"

Card Capital (Misaki)

-Misaki rubs Sub-Manager behind the ears, and presumably the phone is left with him as he watches over it.-

-After that, Misaki beckons Peter upstairs, and into an area few people in Misaki's life have seen... that being the living area of Card Capital.-

-...Although... over the last couple of years, more people have been here.-

-Aichi, Leos, Sthesia, Cross, Whisper, and Peter...-

-And that's not counting Shin and Sub-Manager...-

-She makes sure the door is shut behind them, wanting to make certain that there's utmost privacy.-

"...Have you had anything to eat?"

-With how rough things have been for Peter and Whisper, he might need something...-

"We can talk over lunch."

'Finally, I'm here!'

I arrived at the building were the company is located. I went inside the doors and up the stairs. The building on the first floor is a lobby with the usual desk, coffee table, couch, chairs, and TV. There are stairs on the right side of the room. Upstairs there is a hallway which connects the office to the area where Phoenix and his employees hang out when he isn't doing any cases. I pawed at the door, trying to get in to the office.

'C'mon Phoenix I need you right now! There's been a murder at the Police Station!' The door suddenly opens and I walked inside.

Streets – Kloë Kinber

Kloë finally took notice of Aichi, but found herself pausing at his words—and a confused glance back at Gene plus a conflicted look as she finally released his blade and backed off a pace or two seemed to communicate her return of common sense. She blinked for a moment, unsteady—before refocusing on the two of them, her spinal limbs seeming to retreat and fold up into the brace on her back a little bit in order to be less cumbersome and intimidating to them. Though the lower two still clamped themselves into the ground for stability.

"That's... strange. I thought you were..." she murmured, nursing her skull a moment before double-taking at them yet again. She still didn't seem to quite believe it. "...No, no. Of course you wouldn't. What am I thinking?"

Now apparently assured of... something, Kloë's expression (and whole body) relaxed as she offered up a friendly (if not still somewhat strained) smile at Gene laced with what might've been a twinge of apology. A brief look at Aichi also communicated that she acknowledged his existence. But this one was nearer, and had (even inadvertently) set her off. She'd act friendly to him only until the younger one provided reason too.

Though the sheer concern in his voice threw her off-guard. It sounded like he genuinely didn't want to fight.

"Sorry. Got a little... ahead of myself there. Been alone a lot, and well... you know how it is," she shrugged, not even bothering to elaborate further. "That was presumptive of me. Shouldn't have lashed out like that. Kloë Kinber, by the way. Didn't damage anything, did I?" she queried.

Card Capital — Peter Parker

Peter grabs the top of his masks and takes it off, rubbing his eyes as he asks, "Whaddya got?"
