Well Jason is pretty silent when he gets it, but that’s just how he always is. Also doesn’t require nearly the amount of changes.
That’s just a function of him not really having a voice (or much of one, anyway). It’s not quite the same as making changes to the fatalities themselves.
I'm still wondering why doing fatalities Kratos looks so weird. I'm not talking about the ones mention earlier but just doing fatalities on him half of time it just looks so stiff.
That is the catch, any guest character have to be from a creator who's cool with their character getting brutally murdered.
No just murder but humiliated in a way, a fatality is pretty much a way to chararter to show off agains the loser, that is kinda hard to take with guess chararter.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"That would explain why all the guests after Kratos are either serial killers or alien monsters.
Those are characters that the audience would really like to kick their ass. Though then again, some like Jason die a lot even in their own franchise.
Uni catThis article makes me hope that Kabal's Scary Face Fatality from "3" will make a return in "11".
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Jason can also be inherently silly so he can get killed in a silly way.
Seriously, after the time he punched someone’s head off clear into a dumpster, it’s Black Comedy.

Same for Predator and Alien.
Anyone know what time the stream is today?
I think it was delayed to the 5th of February due to weather problems
Uni catWas there supposed to be another character reveal in the podcast/kombat kast or whatever it's called?
There's always at least one new character shown off in the streams, and they were strongly suggesting it would be Kabal.
Right, completely forgot.
Unlikely, none of the MK 3 character ever had the fortune of having classic fatalities.

Well, MK9 only had three klassic fatalities in the first place, and the only characters from the MK3-based games in MKX are Ermac and I guess Triborg (and even then, I consider Triborg separate from his component characters). Not like there was much opportunity.
My other thing with klassic MK 3 fatalities is that I find a lot of them weaker than the first two games’ roster. There are good ones, but you have stuff like the bodies not falling over or Jax suddenly growing 20 feet tall, so they kind of leave a mixed impression on me, not helped by how very few characters from it regularly show up outside of games that try to bring everyone back.
And late to the convo, but thinking about Kratos having unique fatality animations does make me think of it as a holdover from MK VS DC’s tamer fatalities and how that was an extension of DC not wanting its characters brutalized. Makes the stuff in Injustice kind of funny in hindsight, especially once Hellboy and the TMNT were added in the second game, so it’s likely NRS decided not to give special treatment or earned enough clout they could get away with killing whoever they wanted.
I do recall Yoshinori Ono stating that while he’s aware there are people who would want a Street Fighter X Mortal Kombat, including NRS, he noted that the very idea of Street Fighter characters brutally killing/dying is an automatic no-go at Capcom. It does make me wonder about contractual image requirements for characters, considering Sonic the Hedgehog for example is not allowed to lose for too long after the 2006 game.

Power of Thor!NRS’s Instagram confirmed Kano.
Much younger look for him (looks a lot like Austin Aries, actually), so we can assume he’s like Baraka and comes from an earlier point in the timeline.

Been watching the MK 2 and 3 behind the scene footage for the actors. Kinda funny to realise the palette swaps are all due to being able to use the same costume to grab entire new sets of moves and just chroma key the costume different colors. Sort of obvious in hindsight
It's also funny to realize that Skarlet and Ermac are essentially the OG costumes, uncolored.
That’s how the Ermac rumours started. Occasionally, the game would have a graphical glitch that used the original red sprite instead of the yellow, blue, or green it was supposed to be.
This got associated with the appearance of an “error macro” message which was abbreviated as “ermac,” which is where the name comes from. And explains why Ermac is basically the only ninja whose name doesn’t reflect what he does.

x4 - There’s tons of guidelines like that, like how when Mario jumps, he has to raise his back hand because Nintendo doesn’t want him to cover his face.
No joke there, I’m just fascinated by these little things.

I knew the Error Macro bit.
Noob saibot come to mind because at first he wasnt a ninja but a shadow, eventually wen they tie to noob saibot M Kteam have make little joke about him.
Like in M Kar, is weapon? TROLL hammer or what is said in MK 9? Fear me!.
If he show up in this game, the coment from cassie and other would be hilarious.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I only remember Sub-Zero & Scorpion having one. Who's the 3rd, Reptile?
Mileena MK 2 fatality
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
I have a feeling NRS stopped playing ball with that after 9. Kratos would have required a bunch of extra work just to do those things, and it doesn’t affect any of the guests in MKX.
