A quick little update on my Kombat League progress. I'm still using Sindel but swapped Splitting Hairs, the variation I'd used the first couple days, for Royal Edenian, more projectile based. I'm liking it, and liking how it offers options for staying airborne over projectiles.
According to my Kombat Kard, which counts a couple ranked sets I think I did last season, I'm sitting at 19 wins out of 32 sets played. Given I went into this expecting to get trounced, I'm okay with that. Give or take a few matches I never felt like I was on the wrong end of a Curb-Stomp Battle and even when I lost feel I did okay for myself.
One way to bring Stryker back is as the “good” counterpart to Kabal. Trying to bring his once partner, in for his crimes.
I finished off my Kombat League for the time being. I was specifically going for the KL season rewards and finished the last set of 5 Daily matches needed to do that.
On that note, as of now I'm at Champion rank (Rank 6 out of 9) which gets me the Orderrealm D'vora and Jax skins when the season ends in a day and a half, as well as gear for Kano, Scorpion, Raiden, and Erron Black. There's not enough time for me to grind my way to the upper third ranks and get the last skin. Completing the season challenges also got me two Orderrealm skins for Jaqui, new Brutalities for D'vorah, Scorpion, and Sonya, and gear for Frost and Johnny, as well as 50 Time Krystals for every 5 daily sets I did.
I may go for the next season's rewards, too, but I might pick someone other than Sindel this time. Probably Fujin, since he was the character other than Sindel I was most hyped to play.
Funny thing in this last set, I got 3 Scorpions in a row for my first 3 matches. I managed to beat all 3, but Jax and Kung Lao in the last two got me.

I would be good seeing stryker managing to talk kabal back and descalating the situation, it would be intersting in a way.

Thanks. I definitely feel I got a better feel for playing the game going up against actual people. The two areas I have trouble coping with are the super long combos some people can do, and nto getting pounded immediately after just getting up. It's usually fine if I have a Getup attack ready, but I feel I over-rely on them.

New season has started and I've started doing ranked sets again. Since I'm satisfied I can do Sindel pretty well, I've decided this season to focus on Fujin, the other character I was most hyped to play. So far, two days and ten matches in, I'm at a solid 50% win rate of 5/5. One funny thing is both times the fourth game ended with the other person disconnecting.
I streamed and made highlights of the fights I did this time. I don't know if sharing them would count as self-promotion, which I'm assuming is a no-no, so I'll wait for someone to say they're interested before I do so.

There are already nine add-on characters and a story expansion. Why are you expecting more, over a year after the game came out?
I could see it going either way. There's room enough to add to the roster later, if so desired. Right now we're just getting skins, presumably due to Aftermath's still recent release. I once saw an idea suggested of a DLC story mode based in Shang Tsung's Aftermath ending. Could be a way to bring in Havik and others. On the other hand, I could also see them opting not to, as well, if they're satisfied with where the game is.
Not to mention the next gaming generation is fast approaching. Now is the time that companies start putting together "all in one" editions of games and start planning their new installments.

So it just dawned on me:
The whole thing with Sindel being Evil All Along...does that apply to the original timeline, but she never got the chance to switch sides, or is it just for the reboot timeline?
Cause if it's the latter than it implies that changes to this timeline happen farther back than when the tournament began?
Then again, considering we know Shinnok knew of Armageddon, it's likely he was sewing seeds to alter things from the get go well before Raiden sent his own message back.
