Regarding Johny cage and the glow story wise I believe back in the old games people accused him of using special effects for said skills and he entered the tournament to show that he was legit.

So I could just be a case of he just never had a fight with shinok where those abilities would have been effective.

My favorite MK 4 ending is Fujin, mostly because of that ridiculous bow.

Goro is exceptionally chill in that ending.

He never struck me as the violent brute type. Although even Baraka has proven he can make the right decisions when they are presented to him.

His ending in MK 4 does show that Baraka can definitely see when a plan doesn't make any sense.

Too bad he goes back to being Shao Kahn's lap dog in Unchained.

Really? You must be less shallow than me because that was how I tended to view Goro mostly because of the MK movie.

That was the case in the Original Timeline, yes.

MK 9 took a Broad Strokes approach to continuity. It's a hard reboot masquerading as a soft reboot; a lot of details about character stories, the world, even the fundamental metaphysics are simply different in the new timeline in ways unrelated to Raiden's actions.

Goro's usually pretty chill. The movie portrayed him as a brutish monster, but that was back when literally all we had to go on for his character was that he was a scary boss you had to fight before Shang Tsung.

But once they started incorporating more story elements, we got to see more of Goro, Prince of the Shokan than just what he looks like when he's punching fools. And he tends to be a fairly regal leader whose primary interest is looking out for his warrior people.

And worth pointing out Kintaro became the brutish Shokan.

I believe that if we have some more secret stage fatallity\Brutallity, how they do cool shit like the Kronika's pre historical stage and lose the opportunity ? someone know if is possible to use the T-Rex as stage hazard like Kronika do ? same thing is the monsters on Outworld arena,I think if all that animals is a way to incorporate Animallity on a future update and make them look less dumb,like one of Centrion's Fatallity is Smoke's Armageddon done in a less dumb way.

Something that occurred to me about Jacqui's response to Dark Raiden when he tries to "console" Cassie by telling her Sonya was "lucky" to have died a warrior's death. Jacqui's own mother had died prior to the events of the game and while the exact causes aren't stated, it was likely an illness from the way Jacqui and Jax talk about it. Jacqui wasn't just angry at Raiden's tactless comment, she was also offended by his asserting that anyone who didn't die in a Heroic Sacrifice was lucky.

Raiden really highlighted in that moment how detached he was from human mortality. I had the same reaction as Jacqui really.

I foresee a lot of nerfs in the upcoming patch. I might drop the game if there's too many of them.

Doing the character towers as Scorpion. One of the requirements for the last one is to land 25 throws. I've already done the other stages but only have 21, but the rest are locked. Any way to progress?

It counts throws in other towers so you really only need to load up a different TOT and collect the rest of the required throws.

BTW, I think the Krypt gives us Kotal’s full name? There’s an item in the armoury described as previously belonging to Kotal K’etz.

Now that might mean nothing. After all, there are two Kung Laos (Kungs Lao?) in this series. But Law of Conservation of Detail suggests this is our Kotal.

If I recall correctly, K’etz is Kotal’s father and Ko’atal is his real name that Tanya addresses him as in MKX’s story.

Ko'atal is his real name that he's addressed by in flashback during MKX, yes.

MK 11 somehow forgot that and has Jade constantly calling him "Kotal" even though she's never known him as Kotal Kahn.

Lol i thought that trope was meant for serious villains, not jokes like Frost.

I guess the logic is that what she did in MK 11 pushed her into that territory. Prior to that she more or less was a joke.
