Noah, Squad 1, License test center

Noah finally got off the bus after everyone else and looks at the rest of his squad in admiration. Despite how worried Zach was about the test he puthimself together with help of the group, this truly must be the power of friendship

And yet Noah knows he probably won't do well with the test. Taking a second to looka t his gloved arm he knew he was rather limited compared to everyone else. He had no power of his own and could probably only do so much comfortably. A Nd he really was just happy to tag along to see what everyone else could do.

He smiled as he went to Zach.

"Hello! I'm not part of this conversation, but I think we will be alright even if we do poorly!"

Poor boy was too honest.

Licensing Exam Test Centre – Squad 1

Yoko had returned Zach's smile with a grin so wide her eyes were forced shut, but apparently Zach had rubbed a sweet spot at that exact moment; as a high-pitched yip had erupted out of the kitsune's mouth and simultaneously caused her ears and tails to burst back into view. Blushing brightly in embarrassment as she proceeded to hide her vulpine features again, she scrambled up onto her feet—only to cheer and punch the air at the returned look of determination in Zach's eyes.

“That's it, Zach-kun~! You'll do great~!”

Yoko wasn't much of a wordsmith, but her energy was undeniable. It almost disguised the fact she was still red as a tomato. Apparently she was flustered enough not to immediately think of shapeshifting to hide the colour. It wasn't until she recalled where they actually were did she reapply her mask and attempt to gain a sense of stoicism.

It worked until she tried to speak again.

”'nywy e bst gt rdy nw– o dmn 't.”

And so the speech-impeding mask was pushed up and to the side of her face. Useless as a disguise, but she was a kitsune anyway. It was more for appearances and initial impressions than anything. At least wearing it in this way gave her a somewhat more distinct look.

As she snuck another glance over to the ink manipulator, she ended up missing the glint of two yellow eyes reflecting in the sunlight. Yellow eyes with two vertical slits—that promptly vanished as quickly as they had appeared.

“Ooh new person~!”

And then a foxgirl was hugging the Noah.

The eyes briefly returned in order to blink incredulously.

Zach - Squad 1 - License Test

He smiled as he greeted Noah with a salute of his fingers and a firm nod of his head.

Good to meet you! Name's Zach, I hope we can be good classmates and better friends!

Zach nodded as he steeled himself. There was no reason to be so scared! He could kick all kinds of ass! Even if that was...well, still happening, but he still needed to try! So, he closed his eyes and relaxed, and slowly, his body was covered in the black ink again, making him appear as a fully black figure...and then two white spots of ink appeared on the front of his face as eyes.

Basically, he was entirely black, sans the large "eyes" on the front, which reacted as regular eyes! It was neat and something he'd been working on.

Let this be the first appearance of the Blank Canvas! So, punching the air again, he walked off towards the building.

Noah, Squad 1

He smiles at Zach warmly.

"Hello I am Noah! I am new here and this is my first school!. And first test. I wish you good luck!"

Noah wa sjust about to follow when he was suddenly hugged by the fox girl, while he was very fluffy andf soft he could not feel it, for his whole body was covered in sweater jacket and long pants, even his hands were covered with black gloves.

Onluy his head is exposed but he is doing his best to keep it away.

"Hello foxy girl, it is nice to meet you! You seem to love hugs."

Sam just pulled a few doves as he decided to walk in.

"Just focus on the step forward" He commented "If we miss the next step for looking too ahead, it will end with us failing"

With that, he went inside.

“Uh-huh~!” Yoko nodded with a smile—though there was a sudden dullness to her eyes as she pulled away and stepped back a pace. “Nice to meet you, Noah-san~” she greeted in a more formal tone, bowing at a 90° angle before popping up into a cheeky salute.

“Yoko-chan at your service!” she grinned, the added suffix laced with a hint of exaggeration. “You part of our squad? Please say yes!” she begged, lightly bouncing on the balls of her feet in excitement.

Noah, Squad 1, licensing text center

Noah watches Yoko bow. Why is she bowing and why are you now Noah-san? Maybe it's because she's a fox girl? Do all fox girls do this? Maybe it's one of those anime things he's heard about one in a while.

Noah does bow back and smile. "It is nice to meet you Yoko. And yes I am!"

Alex, Testing Area Squad 4

Alex was currently practicing their abilities, specifically their unusual cloning one. Female Alex was shadowboxing, while the male variant used their powers of light to create illusory images.

"How are you all feeling?" the Alexes asked their teammates in unison.

Licensing Exam Test Center - Rebecca - Squad 3

As the new guy, Finn, came over to comfort her, Rebecca realized something. She had no idea what Finn's powers were. The same went for Van and the Ghost, both of whom she had only really met last night. She was going into this with no idea what half her squad could do.

Chin up. It would be fine. It would be fine.

"I'm okay, it's just that this is a big day and I'm nervous. Perfectly normal. And I have no experience working with half my squad. But that's fine." Rebecca was starting to sound a bit hysterical at this point. "Also a bunch of respected heroes will be watching us, and I look @#$%ing disgusting!"

Rebecca stopped and blinked, shocked by her own words, before burying her head in her hands.

"I've been spending too much time with Ash..."

SQUAD 3 - TESTING CENTER (Finn)

"Hey, listen to me. I know that everything feels like it is ready to go to hell. I mean, I only got in a little studying. But, we have to brave it no matter what. I will have yours and everyone else's backs. Also, the rest of us look unusual as well. If it helps, I can tell you my power. I can turn into an energy being who can levitate and make weapons out of my body." Finn says to Rebecca, trying his best to help her out.

Licensing Exam Test Center - Ellie - Squad 1

"Hi there, Noah." Ellie was suddenly behind the boy, leaning into him to give him a very strong hug of her own. She was in her demonic form, now, and easily towered over him, red-eyed and blue-scaled, her ample chest pressed to the back of his head. "I'm Ellie. I look forward to working with you."

She pulled away, and swayed her hips as she followed Sam in, beckoning her Squad to come with. "Let's roll out, boys and girls."

Licensing Exam Test Center - Mikael - Squad 3

"Appearance doesn't matter." Mikael added to Finn's pep talk, "As long as you show the world your spirit. Besides which, you won't always go into battle knowing who you'll be allied with. Consider this a useful training exercise."

So saying, Mikael transformed into his true, demonic appearance. His hair was back to its normal color from last night, fortunately. "Now c'mon, Team. Let's bring 'em hell."

Dante – Licensing Test Centre – Squad 2

   Yeah...alta stare faciemus, et erimus vincere!!   , Dante started saying, in a dramatic way.

He has then noticed that there were some new faces in here.

And the ones who piqued his interest the most are the ghostly figure, and most importantly—    a KITSUUUNEEEEEE—   , Dante covered his mouth, looking bashful.

But seriously, when he can, he will be friends with the kitsune.

Perry—Squad 4

Perry yawned when she was done stretching and waved at the newcomers. Then she went into the big Coliseum-like structure.

Aster—Squad 2

Aster likewise waved at the newcomers, and went to take the Exams.

After all, she was ready, wasn't she?

Squad 4

Jack stepped off the bus, their cape flowing behind them as if there was a constant dramatic wind blowing, which made them appear impressive. Aiding the illusion was a re-enactment of their flair-filled shuffling routine from the first day of homeroom only at double the previous speed.

However looking under the brim of their hat one could see the sour expression on their face and the tension in their neck. "Ill omens and dark tidings." they muttered to themselves. "I cannot afford to make a mistake here. I'm the only one who knows about it."

Outside Training Centre - Squad 3

The Ghost groaned and rolled his eyes at Mikael. Sure, Mr. Demon, we'll give them "hell". What a horribly lazy pun, he wouldn't be caught dead saying something like that. Wait...

He then turned his attention to the panicking Rebecca and Finn's futile attempts to console her. He facepalmed. "Eurgh...". Why did he have to be grouped with these people? This was going to be a disaster, wasn't it?

“What the... #$&%?”

The so-called ‘Ghost’ would hear this from the previously noted pyrokinetic, who had been scanning the room absently and apparently caught a glimpse of something off in the air at a particular patch. As she stalked over—brow furrowing further and further as more details became apparent—she stopped in front of him, staring right into his eyes.

“...Uh... huh. Ghost boy. Okay. Um... how long have you been there?” she questioned, looking a lot less surprised than she actually felt.

Sweet jesus first that #$&%ing plushie and now a polter– hey wait a minute!!

Yoko cheered again as Noah returned the bow, bouncing up and down in joy as she caught him in a hug again.

“Yaaay! We'll have so much fun, Noah-san!” she whooped—only to abruptly snap her head around as Dante's cry of excitement hit her sensitive ears. Looking back and forth between him and Noah for a few beats, she eventually gave the latter a sheepish grin before beginning to back off.

“Gomen. I'll just be a sec~”

And so the sporadic kitsune bounded over to Dante and practically skidded into place in front of him—once again saluting in her cheeky manner and trying desperately not to burst into giggles. Her tail had appeared again, currently waving back and forth in a lazy manner. She liked to be recognized.

“You rang?”

Licensing test center, Noah, squad 1

HE nodded to Ellie and was going to wait. But he was then distracted and looked up at the demonic lady giving him a hug from behind, he did not think his group was so full of huggers. Maybe everyone here is really affectionate.

Maybe he should start giving out hugs too! Everyone seems to like that.

But then noah sees everyone moving along and follows after, but he did take a look at the other group.

One guy wanting to be friends with his friends and another dude who seemed really ghostly. This place truly does accept many kinds of people!

Outside Training Centre - Squad 3

"I've always been here.", he replied in a dull, otherworldly monotone. He removed a few strands of messy white hair from his face and stared back at Ash, seemingly unfazed at the fact that he had finally been noticed. In fact, his half-closed eyes and prominent eye-bags did not betray any sort of emotion beyond a general sense of tiredness and boredom.

"Your name is Ash, isn't it?", he continued. "I know what you can do. You're a pyrokinetic. I've been watching."

Dante – Licensing Test Centre – Squad 2

   Hahahahahahah!   , he laughed sheepishly.

   I am Dante, the Carnival Prince   , Dante introduced himself to the kitsune, doing a curtsy.

Dante's hero costume was pretty much the jester costume he wore in the First Day, just with a jester-like cape, shoulder plates, some golden features, knee-plates and two belts trasversally wrapped around his waist, where his ten magical masks were kept.

   What is your name...magical kitsune?   , he asked.

Wow, he has finally met a real kitsune!!

Dante, while calm, he is restraining himself from pouncing on her, and cuddling her to death.

“Ugh. Knew it...” Ash groaned, pointing at the Ghost accusingly. “#$&%ing knew it. Thought I kept seeing something. Creepy-ass bastard. At least you ain't that #$&%ing plushie that's been following me around,” she glanced at Yoko, “but apparently even that ain't what I thought it were either. You ain't got some kinda stuffed rabbit form, do ya?”

Crossing her arms, she leaned back onto her heels; smacking her gum in her mouth and looking at him through equally half-lidded eyes. “An' you don't know what I can do. Nobody here knows what I can do. Heck—even I don't know what I can #$&%ing do half the time. All tasters, man. Maybe today I'll get to show off some real s***.”

“And uh... well ‘pyrokinesis’ is a little tricky 'cause it's a little more complicated than that– oh by the way guys I'm talking to a ghost,” she suddenly called out to the others, leaning slightly past the ghost in what was admittedly a rather unnecessary move the more she thought about it. “Just in case you think I'm... like #$&%ing insane or something. I dunno.”

That done, she returned her attention to the phantom—only for her to fully register his first comment and tilt her head to the side in curiosity.

“Woah, hold on. You said you always been here? If you ain't being all vague an' cryptic 'n' s*** an' actually mean that then god damn is that #$&%ed up. You been stuck with these troupe for that long?” she questioned, arcing an eyebrow. “'Cause if so you're one-upping me. Haven't been here for six months yet an' I'm already losing my #$&%ing mind.”

Licensing Exam Test Centre – Squad 1

Yoko giggled at his curtsy, performing one of her own in mimicry.

“Watashi wa Yokudesu, Dante-san! I like your costume!” she exclaimed, morphing into her fox form in order to scamper all about him and inspect it from all angles. “It's very pretty! Did you make it?” she asked innocently, peering down at him from her new position sitting atop his head and fluffing out all nine of her tails like a peacock.

Those masks are enchanted, she mentally noted—subtly flicking her eyes over to the belts holding them while the boy remained enamoured by the novelty of it all. That much magical power and he might be able to hold his own against a common yōkai. Maybe me as well.

Outside Training Centre - Squad 3

"Heh. I do possess rabbits sometimes." He forced a quiet laugh, but he did not smile. His face did not change. It might as well have been frozen.

"Saint Academy is not that bad. You end up getting used to it after the first ten years or so.", he said casually, as if that time frame had meant nothing to him. "It's getting out which I don't like...", he added under his breath.

Team 4 Dawn, Arena Soon

"Do not be. You came here with a purpose." Dawn smiled warmly at Zach before straightening herself up. Yoko seemed rather possessive of him. "And you will see it realized. I'm sure of it." Depending on how the exam looked like however, the blonde didn't see herself passing, honestly.

But, perhaps, she would be proven wrong. "Take care." It was time to rejoin her team. Perry had already left after some stretching. The blonde watched her go before addressing the Alexes. "I think I'm prepared." She was prepared physically, at the very least, but her mental preparation might have been another thing entirely. She couldn't afford to get too into it, after all. The eyes of pro heroes would be on her the entire time.

She offered Jack a gentle pat on the shoulder and a reassuring smile as they came by. "Let's give it our best, everyone." And, with that out of the way, she made her way to the arena.

Dante – Licensing Test Centre

   I didn't make it. Well I just requested an high-quality superhero costume making company to make a costume for me, they did, and I paid them!!!   , he explained to Yokudesu.

   But I am glad that you like it. I really like how this costume has turned out.   , Dante said positively.

Squad 4 - Testing Centre - Iona

Iona rose off of her seat after having been busy reading through the Grimoire and meditating.

"May the Elemental Lords watch over us today."

A step forward in front of her teammates, and she looked behind at her teammates as the Alexes spoke.

"I'm doing fine. Given the gravity of what's on the stake today, I expect you all to be at your best. I don't want anyone dragging me-"

There was a small pang as her eyes fell on Dawn, and her tongue doubled back despite herself.

"I mean, we can't lose. So long as we don't interfere with each other like the pure chaos of the months before, this'll be a trivial task."

Bellpepper appeared with a flash of flame on her shoulder, turning around to face the others with his wings spread high.

"We got this, guys! Although with me here, why would we ever lose?"

Iona's eyes rolled in their sockets, a sarcastic look on her face as her head shook.

"An overstatement on his part, but we're all capable here. If I'm somewhat confident in you all, you must be doing something right."

With arms folded, Iona's gaze settled back on what was in front of her, taking a deep breath.

"The moment of truth..."

Squad 1 - Training Centre - Victoria

Victoria was sleeping while standing up as soon as she stepped to join her classmates. The werewolf looked almost...puppy-like. At least, until eyelids fluttered open to reveal the brown irises behind them.

"H-Huh? We ready to go already?"

She scratched the back of her head with a gaping yawn.

"I want to get this over with...I need a nap."

Squad 2

Ryuu just looked at his own uniform. Looking like he was in on a martial arts competition, with "Storm" written in his back. Maybe he should have gone with something else, but he might have gotten mixed up with someone else. Better check for inspiration later, but for now, let's fly.

"Okay, deep breathes" His arms got scaled up, offering a hand to anyone who needed it.
