Time and Space with a Side of Salad

"I know Gaunter O'Dimm is supposed to be a bald man, but a giant bald time baby?" Ciri exclaimed. "Not to mention the wee lass that dotes upon him, and then throw in the cyclops wizards to round out the whole ordeal."

Seriously, how did a teenage girl think it was a good idea to coddle giant baby? How did you even control something that had the intelligence of a child if it was the size of a building? It seemed more like handling a tremendous beast than anything else. Still, it wasn't pulverizing her in its giant baby-fist, so maybe luck was on her side.

-Ayla looks at the pulsating bundle go through the wall then back, picking it up and looking it in the eye.-

Green-thing scared?

The being in the blanket squirmed in fear as Ayla picked it up. The cloth came loose enough for her to see a man's cyan face, with a scar across one of his red eyes. Or was it a boy's face? The being kept fading between different ages. One moment old, one moment young. One moment clean shaven, the next with a long white beard.

"No. Yes! No? Don't know, don't know, don't know anything anymore. How can I not know? I know everything. I'm supposed to know everything! But then, that flash, and now this place. This wasn't in the future, I didn't see this possibility. I've always seen everything, past and future, but now...I don't know what happened, I don't know what's happening, I don't know what's going to happen! I...I..."

He seemed to finally settle on an age. The face of a dimpled child, small enough to fit snuggly into Ayla's arms.

"...I'm afraid."

Time Zone – Act 2

   Hmph!   , Shadow turned his back to the spirits, folded arms and eyes closed.

Silver noticed that the cavewoman has catched some strange humanoid creature that was constantly shifting between a juvenile and elder state.

"What are you afraid of, little child", he asked the creature, who settled on a juvenile state.

Ultimecia

As if one infantile creature weren't enough, now they had to deal with a second, one that was shifting ages on a whim before settling on its child-like form. Yet the sight of the cavewoman caring for the creature brought forth emotion the sorceress thought long buried...it reminded her of a time when life wasn't about stealing other's futures to secure her own. A... happier time, she supposed. But one gone from her all the same.

The introspective look upon the sorceress' face, however, was soon replaced by the more natural expression of irritation, as she realized that any hope of fixing things now rested with two children. Let the others play at being nannies if they must, she would not stoop to their level. With an impatient huff, Ultimecia turned away from the sight to look at something, anything, else.

Larry

Larry continues to observe the shenanigans of the others. As turns out, the spirits can't even enforce their rules upon the others since they're not even at their origin point. Everyone here is a time-traveler and they can't return for some reason.

Come to think about it, the mission's probably going to be a disaster without Larry! Poor Otto's gonna be stuck with that neanderthal! Then again, Otto's handled Tuddrussell pretty well.

Larry glances over at Ultimecia and asks, “Surrounded by idiots, huh?”

"Supposed to know everything?" Doraemon pondered. He didn't believe there was a gadget of any kind that could grant that ability. "Sounds like he's supposed to have a never-ending headache," he muttered inaudibly. At least he'd settled on a form.

-Picking the baby up, Ayla turns to the others with a plan.-

Ayla know what do, Lucca explain to Ayla. Take baby, Robo and bad queen, go to shiny hole with Ayla! We go Time End, old man there. Him smart, him know where baby need go.

"Quite." Ultimecia replied to the robot, grateful that she did not have to state the obvious since he had summed it up succinctly, before she continued to speak.

"If all we can get is 'we're stuck somehow', then I see no further need to be here. I have better things to do with my time." While speaking more to herself than to Larry, it felt good to get her thoughts out to someone who could potentially understand her frustration. However, the cavewoman began talking about some 'shiny hole', prompting the sorceress to look at her. The 'bad queen' comment then registered with her, prompting Ultimecia to narrow her eyes. "Excuse me?"

As it turns out, the sorceress had the same idea as Larry. In fact, if Ultimecia were the one to ask Larry, he'd probably give her the same answer. Guess they're like peas in a pod. “I have to agree with you. Why are most people buffoons?”

The cavewoman said she had a solution to their problem and that was the Time End, which she couldn't access at all because there was no shiny spot. Larry would chastise the cavewoman, but Larry simply pities her too much for that.

“And how were you going to access the 'shiny hole' to begin with?”

Walk into shiny hole. Lucca say, more four people different time go in shiny hole, go to Time End. That why Epoch have three chair. Bad queen from far far tomorrow, Robo from far far far tomorrow, Lucca say Ayla from before before before, but Ayla not know when baby from. So, find shiny hole, go to Time End.

Time Zone - Act 2

"So you know that this "Lucca" guy told you that there is a place known Time End, where there is an old man who knows what to do with the baby?", Silver tried to process what Ayla was trying to say.    And we have to find a "shiny hole", possibly a portal to this Time End   , Shadow said.

Silver had listened to Larry and Ultimecia's conversation," She might not be the brightest here, but her plan is not too shabby!", he said to the robot and the sorceress.

Not Lucca say, Ayla go Time End, meet old man. Old man friend, let Ayla wait in Time End when Crono ask for Ayla wait. Ayla fight Spekkio when wait. When in Time End, ask old man help baby.

And ask Lucca! Lucca smart, Lucca build Robo and like babies, Lucca and Spekkio and old man know how help baby.

We go in Epoch, Epoch fly, help find shiny hole since Epoch not go to Time End anymore.

"Ah! Sorry", he said sheepishly,"So this Lucca guy builds robots and likes babies, so he, the Spekkio guy and the old man know how to help the baby...and there is something knows as Epoch that flies and can find the portal or something, since it doesn't go to Time End anymore...", he said.

   *Sigh*...Will we ever get used to this?   , he said, annoyed.

   The sorceress and the robot are right. While the cavewoman had some "good" ideas, she seems to be, overall, a damn nutjob!!   , the Black Blur said, looking really irritated.

Ultimecia

The longer the cavewoman talked, the more apparent it became to Ultimecia that the girl did not mean malice by her name, she was just too simple to use anything else. And if her ramblings were anything to go by, she...had a somewhat solid plan? It was the only plan anyone had come up with, at any rate. And it would get her away from the rest of the group, for just a small reprieve of peace and quiet. Taking in a deep breath, hoping to stave off her inevitable headache, the sorceress looked at Ayla with a look of resigned expectancy.

"Take us to your Epoch then, girl. Preferably before that one has an aneurysm." She said, tilting her head and giving a sidelong glance to the black hedgehog.

Larry just sighs at the group's argument. To make matters worse, the cavewoman just appointed herself as leader. This was looking like the birth of another Time Squad with a female Tuddrussel at the helm. If only there was a magnet around, so he'd forget all about this.

-Ayla holds the baby up as she turns back the way she came.-

Baby not remember, but maybe see. Baby see shiny hole? Robo and bad queen ask one-eyes and shoot-men if see shiny hole.

Segami-Somewhere

"Well, I tend to ride backseat, it's IF that does the driving. She's kinda possessive when it comes to that bike. And I think it's "Robo". As in Robot."

With that, Segami headed back to her group, hoping the bike would be ride-ready again.

"...Histoire, the hell are you doing here!?"

"... I... don't know...my only guess is that whatever knocked you off course also expanded the time device's range and pulled me in as well. I could workout everything to make sure, but that would take 3 hours."

"Nah, nah it's fine... we'll go with that for now."

It took IF and Histoire too long to realize that. Segami approached them.

"So, how'd it go?" IF asked Segami.

"Well, everyone here seems to be a time traveler. They also got pulled off course as well."

"That's...concerning..." Histoire responded. "Where are they heading?"

"You heard that crying? There. Is the bike ready"

"Ready as I'll ever be. Just fired up and rarin' to go! Well, except we can't time travel, but no biggie."

"Nep...ugh, alright, just don't expect me to play babysitter. Be lame to get pulled here just for that."

And with IF's last statment, the 3 embarked back to everyone else.

"...That's a big baby." IF stated.

It was nice to know that this was going to get just as absurd as back home. And by "nice" they meant "agh". It seemed the situation was about what they expected. No one can leave, everyone time travels, and the cavewoman was the one with a plan. IF would object if it wasn't for the lack of any other plan... and two other voices hushing her. She just settled for a knowing glance to the Larry, Shadow, and the Mage-looking woman.
