ITT: World of Supers

The teen despite trying to act casual walks quite a bit faster to the exit then he has done so far and he makes sure to keep an eye on the rabbit. Once out of the room he closes the door and heads straight down.

Seeing that the bunny seems more fixated on the food than anything else, Adrien shrugs and teleports out.

The knight briefly checks the storage room to see if the important stuff is still there, then opens the door and enters the parking lot.

In the parking lot was a large black pickup truck with a hood ornament of a dragon. He gets in the vehicle and presses the horn button, but instead of a picture of a horn it was that of a dragon's head an instead of a honk there was a great roaring sound.

Black Knight:   Heh heh, that ought to get the attention of my guests to my Black Dragon!

Glitch glitches out the room the same way she entered and follows the others.

Ammy just...stares at the...ABOMINATION. "What the fuck." She's almost tempted to just hose the damn thing with lead. Almost.

Adrien blinks back into existence just before the vehicle unleashes its terrifying roar.

"... ... ... ... ... ... ... I'm teleporting into town."

Glitch stares at the strange vehicle in front of her. "...The hell is that thing..." she asks, backing off a bit as it roars. "...I love it."

The teen arrived at the van next, drawn by the sound of the horn. Overal he didn't like the designs of it but had to admit that there was one part he did like. Cool hood ornament."

Black Knight:   It's not much to look at, but I intend on using whatever big money and materials I obtain in future endeavors to upgrade this thing. Maybe make this thing be double-deckered to fit more people and supplies, plus be bulkier with armor and yet be more streamlined at the same time. And possibly some glowing lines on the exterior as a nice touch. Weapons would come later, I'd rather focus on the defense part first.   

He presses a button, causing the doors sans the driver seat one to swing open.

   And how about some music for our day of mayhem?   

He turns the radio on and is greeted by this song.

   ...Really? This counts as music these days? Unbelievable...

Adrien smirks. "It's a popular subject for mash-ups, too. I've got a whole playlist of those, myself."

Ammy just immediately heads off, extremely confused.

The knight continues, his voice showing a bit of angry annoyance.

Black Knight:   Back in my day the best music was that of classical music such as violins and pipe organs, now 400 years later there's this filth on the radio! Now rock music, now that's a genre I can get behind. Perfect for beating up enemies to!   

He revs up the truck's engine.

   Anyways, let's get going!   

"I'm not being seen in that thing," Adrien declares. They snap their fingers and vanish. "There, that's better."

"Alright, let's go~" Glitch gets in the truck.

"I call shotgun." The teen didn't actually care where in the car he ended up, he had just always wanted to say that.

Annoyed with the radio's music choice, the knight shifts to a different radio channel.

Black Knight:   A video game music radio channel? That's new. Eh, let's give it a shot.   

Then with a rev of the engine the Black Dragon speeds off into town.

Back to the present time, our team of heroes learn something dreadful

The detective was stunned at hearing the restaurant manager's words.

Det. GC: So let me get this straight, we can't be served food as according to the security camera footage a knight in black armor stole the food and you only learned this now as the guy at the cameras was asleep on the job?

Manager: "Yes, I'm telling you the truth. I just talked with some of the nearby restaurants and the same thing happened to them."

Det. GC: Well then, what did his armor specifically look like?

Just then the Black Dragon passed by them with this music barely being heard coming from the vehicle. The manager gasped in recognition.

Manager: "The one behind the wheel of that black pickup that just passed, that's the one you're looking for!"

The still-unnamed magical girl frowns. "Restaurant burglary set to video game music? That sounds like... proto-cartoonish supervillainy. I think these guys are relevant to our interests." She tilts her head and closes her eyes, tracking the tune's position.

Ammy's swallowed her pride and gotten on at some point, now decked out in heavy armor and armed with a M249. Overkill for most purposes, really.

The knight is unaware at the moment that the heroes took note of him.

Black Knight:   A few blocks from here is the local museum. The primary objective is to find anything that looks like it could relate to that amulet our dragon friend has, if that's ok with him. The secondary objective is to simply take whatever interests you for yourself.   

Meanwhile at the same time the detective gets back into the driver's seat of his car and shouts to the other heroes.

Det. GC: Quick, get into positions as I start the car back up to go after them! This thing has a few tricks up its sleeve that I've made for a situation like this!

She checks that her gear's been properly secured. "Sounds like a plan. We better do it quick, though; places like those, they've bound to have some security around, and alarms are gonna trip sooner or later. It's why I decked myself out with all this."

"I shouldn't have gone to sleep for a few months."

The girl blinks onto the roof of GC's car. "Don't worry about securing me, I don't plan to stay here long..." Uh, are you sure that's a good i— Hush.

The teen wonders why the Black Knight was so interested in helping him, but still believing he had managed to keep the purpose of the amulet a secret wasn't about to complain about something that might make him stronger. "I'm more than okay with it."

The detective starts up the car and opens one of the compartments inside the vehicle, retrieving some strap-on suction cups which he hands over to the magical girl on the roof.

Det. GC: This might help, I tend to drive a bit on the crazy side when it comes to car chases.

The knight nods at Ammy.

Black Knight:   This vehicle doesn't have any built-in weapons yet as those tend to be expensive, so I have a few regular weapons hidden in storage compartments to make up for that. We can use those for the guards. The only real expensive thing I did to this vehicle was getting bullet-proof glass. Now once we get to the museum we may need to take out the cameras first so that it'll be difficult to trace us.

"... Yeah, that's probably a good idea," she mutters as she equips the proffered gear, not wanting to admit that maybe an impulsive first thought was not the correct thing to do.
