So I've been watching video playthroughs of the Skygerfall mod (basically Daggerfall but in Skyrim)...and damn do those dungeons look like hell.

I've heard that Daggerfall dungeons are pretty complex and difficult, but actually seeing it in Skyrim and comparing them to Skyrim dungeons really makes it clear.

And it'd be even worse in the original Daggerfall since Skygerfall, being a Skyrim mod, still has the QOL features Skyrim has that Daggerfall did not.

Oh, but wait, there's more! In Daggerfall, they had to permanently enable debug commands because you'd have a habit of falling through the floor and into the void, so you needed the ability to undo a step.

Yeah I'm not sure what's scarier — Daggerfall's dungeons or its bugs.

Stuff like this is why I'm not keen on actually looking for and playing Arena and Daggerfall.

So honestly, the Anniversary upgrade for Skyrim Special Edition is well worth the price if you're on PS 4/5 or Xbox, since you're buying 120-150 dollars worth of content for 20 bucks with it. I stress that it's only a good deal for non-PC owners, because you can get much better mods already for free.

Well, I combine the mods'Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim', 'empowering enchants' and 'JS Ioun Stones' to move 481% faster and the end result...crashes the game after a few miles. Several times.

When it doesn't kill me because I became airborne by accident. Still safer than the exploding flying carpets from 'The circle of fight'.

So, I enchanted everything I could with empower restoration. The end result for greater fortify speed was 'Increase your speed by 3518444% points for 60 seconds'. Skyrim wasn't big enough to properly test this spell, a single step was enough to launch me across the map and get lodged in a mountain.

Also the sky, I got lodged in the sky. Fast travel or teleport spells were the only way out.

Bringing the Morrowind fun to a new audience. Although getting stuck in the sky is a little extreme.

I ran so fast I ended up hitting the invisible wall and got stuck there, vibrating but unable to move around, high in the sky. Partly because I use a spell that lets you run in the air, but that wore off and I was still stuck there. The theory was that if I ran around in the sky I wouldn't get stuck in terrain, forgot about the invisible wall though.

Are you sure it was only 481% in your first case? I routinely increase my speed to 500% when I want to test stuff and it's never caused a crash. (It does make it possible to fall to your death on downward slopes, though, like you said.)

So hey all Playstation 4 and 5 owners, the Vokrii perk overhaul is now on our console! Some of the perks don't work but it's less than a handful of them and the author bozzdozz is working on getting them fixed. Until then if you wanted something like Ordinator on Playstation this is the best possible thing for us.

I mean, "like Ordinator" should be a given, Vokrii is by the same guy (just less extreme than Ordinator perks are). [lol]

Also, the Anniversary edition shadow-dropped for the Switch yesterday. Looks like I chose a good time to return to my save.

Well, the Anniversay Edition itself is a paid update, but, yes, some of the Creation Club features for the Special Edition were added free, like survival mode, new alchemy ingredients, and fishing.

Hi. Necro'ing the thread to find out if there are any other Switch users who bought the Anniversary edition. I'm currently playing out the "Saints and Seducers" quest line. The new armors look amazing, and the new weapons are intriguing. There are even new pets (Elantra Nymphs)!

But honestly, their veneration of Ysgramor essentially becomes another example of how toxic the Nords' warrior culture is, considering they basically venerate the guy for (as far they know) committing genocide.

Part of the reason Elder Scrolls history is interesting is that whenever you think you have a handle on it, you find new layers to it. Ysgramor wiped out the Snow Elves and is thus a murderous evil conqueror, right? Probably.

But this is the sort of world where you can go back in time and find out that the Snow Elves were all vampires or robots.

I like how Talos is a Lawful Good god while Tiber Septim, the human, was a complete piece of shit.

I got a laugh today when doing a radiant Thieves Guild quest where I had to raid Haelga's bunkhouse to break into her safe.

I'd already seen the leather strips and the various Dibellan implements to her bedroom, but for the first time I realized that on her bed table there was a bottle of Falmerblood Elixir, the one that Brynjolf advertises in his Snake Oil Salesman routine as allowing you to "make love like a saber cat" (it's one of the lines he'll say if you don't take his offer straight away and have him speak on the Riften market).

That and for the first time in that playthrough I realize that right next to the house of the obviously single mother Carlotte Valentia, there were to Nightshade plants, which, erm...raise interesting questions as to the reason she's single. Maybe punching Mikael in the face is actually doing him a favor.

I can't find a general Elder Scrolls thread or a thread for Oblivion, so I'm asking this question here.

What mods would you recommend for the PC version of Oblivion? I've tried replaying this a game a couple of times and ended up uninstalling it and all of the mods I had with it. I'm about to try again but I don't want to spend 3-8 hours figuring out which mods overlap, or what overhaul might be best.

I'm not looking for heavy/game-changing mods or entire new areas or massive random encounter mods. Just bugfixes, immersion, quality of life stuff.
