This is a page from the time when tropes didn't need examples.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIf this is a legitimate trope, it shouldn't be too hard to find examples.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. The trope description has a big problem with Example As Thesis, and it's hard for me to figure out what it's saying. Based on the laconic, this seems like "As You Know, but it's a question". Is that distinct enough for its own trope?
The name is also pretty unclear. I would send this one back to the TLP.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"^ As You Know is when both parties already know what's being brought to our attention. Here the asking character doesn't know. Moreover, it's about the fact that plot-relevant questions are never asked off-screen even if that would have made more sense in the flow of the story. In that sense it's similar to Conversation Cut (but not quite the same).

I agree, sending this one back to the tlp would be the way to go.
tlp or cut.
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.Shall I go ahead and take it to TLP or wait for some more votes?
I second to move this back to TLP.
Send it back to TLP. There is definitely a valid trope here, but the description needs to be expanded and we need to find examples.
The TLP thread. Should the live page be cut?
I would say cut if the TLP fails.
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.Cut the live page and let's see how the TLP goes.
Page is cut. Case closed.
Laconic has not been cut yet.
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.Laconic is cut now.
Since the page has been cut, the laconic has been cut, and it was moved backed to TLP, should we close this thread?
I don't see why not. This thread has served its purpose.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Just hollered for a lock.
Locking.
The trope is certainly relevant but lacks examples. Is it perhaps covered by another trope? Should this go back to TLP?
