the cynical part of me says that they weren't originally planning on doing a part 1 rerun, and they didn't have enough time to prep all the quests for co-op again.

Yeah, given that Defensive Battles are pretty involved and the second FEH event starts in a few days, I'm guessing they thought having two events with Defensive Battle co-ops would be too much. It's probably also why the first event is all unlocked right away and getting all the good stuff can be done pretty quickly.
Side note, it was kind of fun curbstomping Alfonse and Veronica this time around :o

Ooh. Wonder if they'll start alternating dragons and adventurers each month for galas. Bummed they didn't make another optional boss cycle that includes Mars first, even if we haven't faced all of the Agito yet >_>
That's a ways off, Grabble made sure to have a few Grand Adventurers before it did that, and has a x2 Gala twice a month.

Got Mars after three ten-folds (Which was a ten-fold more than I was going for, but eh). Thank goodness I've been saving unbinding stones. Now, back to hoarding wyrmite for FEH 2.
Also, I'll equip Mars to Marth, so if I'm ever defeated in Fire content, I can go "But Maaaars!"

I'm genuinely surprised that there isn't at least one 3H character being pushed, but Chrom and Tiki are cool so no real complaints here.

Cool, if true, but it's the first time I have absolutely no idea about character's element.
If I were to guess, Peony will be a light wand to contrast Veronica, but I have no idea about Chrom's element or Tiki's... anything, really. She could be a dragon and not an adventurer, though.

Aw, I was really hoping for Edelgard. Chrom is the only one I'd be kinda miffed about if he's another Flame Sword. Peony is unexpected but great since it'll be interesting to see Notte interact with another fairy. Tiki is the second representative from the Archanea games after Marth, but she is one of the most iconic dragons in the series, so I can see why she was chosen.

Thórr is quite fond of playing with dolls and making others prove their strength through conflict in FEH... I wonder if the Colisseum is just fighting Thórr's Forma of existing adventurers/dragons
