Well, we got a twofer reveal. The Hero was pretty meh to me, but Banjo is pretty good. But now there's only two fighter slots left... Please let there be more DLC!

I actually audibly went "it's the fucking Luminary" when I saw him. Erdrick, Solo and Eight were a pleasant surprise.

Lame that Female Erdrick and Sofia were passed up though.

So can someone explain who the Hero's skins are? I'm not the biggest DQ fan, sorry.

Wait, was there actually another character revealed besides Banjo?

I’m serious. I can’t watch any of this now, and people outside of here have ONLY been talking about Banjo. Guess we know who the popular choice was. XD

Nah, its just people bitching because they can't accept a japanese company focuses on Japanese characters that happen to have anime based powers. Small world, right?

The DQ skins are the heroes from 11 (default), 3 (Erdrick), 4, and 8.

The main skin is the hero from 11, than Erdrick from the original game, the hero from VIII, and a 4th one I'm not familiar with.

Okay, cool. At least he sounds interesting. Not a DQ fan, but sounds like they got a pretty good haul.

Not only that, but his Final Smash is the same as Mega Man's, in that he basically summons even more Dragon Quest heroes.

Well I'm happy for the DQ fans, especially after everyone (including me) derided the Hero. Not my cup of tea, but I'll still buy him.

I just realized the two announcements are DQ and BK. What's next, Mc Donald's?

I'm indifferent to the Dragon Quest character, but since they also announced Banjo I'm not disappointed anymore, since now it's "Banjo, with this other character as a bonus".

Can someone explain to me the ire of Luminary as far as DQ fans go?

I don't get it. Or am I misunderstanding it?

Probably because people expected Erdrick to be the default?

Oh and because he is kinda boring. Then Banjo happened and suddenly we forgot about him/them

Anyway, with Banjo in, I am officially out of characters I want in Smash who aren’t already in or deconfirmed. It’s a bittersweet feeling honestly, but still very exciting. Gonna just enjoy the ride with everyone else and start hoping for a true Banjo sequel now.
