So.... How about that ending to Invasion of The Ford Prefects then?
"My light shall be the moon, and my path the ocean, my guide the morning star as I sail home to you...."It was pretty good, but I would've concluded the Tamaota plotline differently had I known that the same thing would end up happening to Sonny and Fussenpepper. It ended up feeling a bit redundant.
Aw, I thought the ending to the Tamatoa plotline was good. I also liked the little callback to the Red Submarine episode.
"My light shall be the moon, and my path the ocean, my guide the morning star as I sail home to you...."Really? Aw, thanks.
You're welcome.
Right, since the next episode will takes place in Switzerland, What are we gonna call it and what are we gonna look for?
"My light shall be the moon, and my path the ocean, my guide the morning star as I sail home to you...."Man, I had to got to bed last night and missed the ending! I read it this morning though, and it was a happy ending as promised.
"DIO is the ultimate being! The being of the future! Dare you not to rival me!"If I’m honest, I legitimately did think that that was gonna be the season finale.
HuzzahI can happily assure you that Invasion of the Ford Prefects is absolutely not the season finale, So there's still gonna be more Great Troper Race action to come. I hope Tales comes back to the game soon...
EDIT: New episode started! It's entitled "Wilde Zeiten in Zürich", Which in German means "Wild Times in Zürich". I'm getting ready to head out so I'll be back soon.

"My light shall be the moon, and my path the ocean, my guide the morning star as I sail home to you...."I’m not rushing or anything, but approx. how many more episodes are we gonna do?
HuzzahAfter the recently-started one, We'll do six more episodes and then the extra-long season finale.
(btw, plans have been changed. we'll head out in the morning.)
"My light shall be the moon, and my path the ocean, my guide the morning star as I sail home to you...."I think I could muster an interesting b-plot out of bringing back some old NPC, but I can't think of anyone good who doesn't belong to a troper who left.
I mean, I brought out Tropey the Wonder Dog, because he wasn’t really being used and was mostly just a throwaway idea.
What if you looked through the earlier seasons for something?
HuzzahLet's see, the only ones I can think of are Kim Jong-un, the Repo Men, and The Staus Quo. The thread seems to devolve into greater or lesser degrees of godmodding whenever the Status Quo shows up, so not him. Repo Men might actually make sense, if we could contrive some reason why they would be interested in cheese.
Also, I didn't accidentally post this in the thread itself before, why do you ask?
Kim Jong-Un and the Status Quo are both canonically dead, so you could totally bring back the Repo Men.
Other possibilities: Another Benedetto, That Bird Guy from Episode Four (he sent an army after the Tropers and said that Undertale sucked), a Xathian invader, or Stevil.
HuzzahI mean, I could always just throw a KOF baddie at it at high speed

"DIO is the ultimate being! The being of the future! Dare you not to rival me!"I would gladly rejoin if I knew what was happening.
“Now! Let us engage in the art of deduction!”We’re looking for the oldest piece of elemental cheese.
HuzzahWe're still near the beginning of this episode. It's set in Switzerland, we're looking for cheese, and I might bring back and old NPC, but that's about it.
I don’t exactly understand why Chey went to the bathroom.
“Now! Let us engage in the art of deduction!”T:TS!Chey did it to protect herself and Ford from Tsunku in case if she got in the plane.

"My light shall be the moon, and my path the ocean, my guide the morning star as I sail home to you...."Not a huge fan of how this episode is progressing. I’ll admit, my character might have distracted from the plot, but I figured he could be a distraction while Chey was away, or more if Chey wished.
This is just getting very very very very offtrack.
HuzzahI agree. I don't think Chey is here right now, but hopefully we'll get back on track once she is, and this'll just end up a Big-Lipped Alligator Moment.
Heeeeey. I'm so sorry for not rejoining the game sooner! I passed out on my bed after I went to my room to put up a book. And also; Today, my internet's being idiotic. :V
"My light shall be the moon, and my path the ocean, my guide the morning star as I sail home to you...."
Welcome to the Tropers: The Series discussion thread! We have a discord server, and if you are capable of joining we strongly recommend you ask one of our mods (myself, Taco Badger, Afterwards, Custard And Pie or MadameButterflyKnife) for an invite, since it's where the majority of conversation and planning takes place. If you can't access discord for whatever reason, no worries, that's what this thread is for.
Basic Info
Tropers: The Series (TTS for short) is a free-form comedic RP. It's loosely based on the sitcom format, with all our characters sharing an apartment and going on wacky adventures, though it often turns into a Genre Roulette with lots of sci-fi and fantasy elements. Things aren't 100% silly all the time, there are serious moments and arcs, but overall the focus of the RP is comedy.TTS has an episodic format, with each "episode" of the series run by a different GM (you can see a list of them all on Recap.Tropers The Series). While there is continuity and there are occasional arcs, you can usually jump in at the beginning of an episode without missing anything. If you have an idea for an episode you'd like to GM, or even one you want to see if anyone else would like to GM, suggest it in the discord server and see what people think.
The player characters are usually Author Avatars, often sharing their name with the person playing them. However, this isn't required, you're free to play any character you like as long as you feel they can fit the dynamic. Characters can be fantastical, too: aliens, supernatural superpowered beings, anything you like. Trying to avoid being overpowered, this doesn't mean you can't play powerful characters, just as long as you don't try and use their powers to "auto-solve" (solving an in-story problem as soon as it arises before it has a chance to become an interesting plot point or joke).
TTS isn't super high commitment, unless you're GMing an episode or a b-plot, there generally isn't anything you're required to show up for. If you are GMing and need time off, that's okay, just let us know ASAP. Co-GMing episodes is allowed and even encouraged to avoid burnout, but remember to communicate with your fellow GMs. GMing a b-plot is allowed without volunteering ahead of time, just make sure other players are interested in participating and it's not just you.
Interesting in joining?
Great! Give us some kind of idea about the character you're planning to play (it doesn't have to be too in-depth, a lot of great characters started out with little original idea and were just blank slates until they found their feet via interaction with other characters) and let us know you understand the premise. We'll tell you if we feel you're right for this RP and then you can jump right in whenever you're ready.Edited by TropesForever on Nov 3rd 2021 at 7:37:22 PM
