Marx – An Akihabara Alley

Junko is weird again. But for some reason, talking with her starting to become pretty enjoyable.

"Ahh...So I don't need to pay for it? If that's the case, I'm relieved...", Marx said with a sigh of relief.

He has to be careful about these peeps though. He wouldn't really want to die after he got the powers he wanted for years.

"She sells magic dirty magazines? And I thought this place wouldn't be more absurd...", he giggled.

"I would really like if that nuisance gets put in her place..."

M16A1 - Palace

With yet another fight out of the way, M16A1 picked herself up off the ground where she had fallen to after giving Reiko a boost - she didn't use the word 'hero' lightly, but her own actions definitely merited its use here. Yeah, sure, the guys had died cause of other people doing things, but clearly she was the one who had made it possible for this rag-tag group of people to follow Reiko and do what she told them to do.

Her train of thought finished up right around the time she had finished following along with the others into the hot spring. After a day like this, she sure could appreciate taking a soak in here. Though, she didn't particularly care for the present company, so that would have to be an experience saved for a better time. Once again focused, she walked up towards the thing the others were looking at.

"Cool."

She nodded.

She blinked.

"What the fuck is that thing?" she said sharply. "You don't think it's some radioactive-as-shit chunk of uranium or something that these morons mistook for a magic rock and hooked up to their water supply, do you?"

She looked at the bug who was trying to do... something... with it while Reiko played charades. Cockroaches were supposed to be able to survive after getting nuked....

M16A1 - Bay

"Yeah she's uh... a little busy there at the moment, M16A1 told Rico and Shirakami, gesturing with one thumb down at the bay. "And might not have too many spare torpedoes, either. And it's not going to be so easy to deliver that to.... him?"

She lifted up a hand, pointing into the distance where... Ozai was surrendering?

Yorktown - Also Bay

"Already on it!" Yorktown said on the radio to Hiccup, cringing slightly when she heard that other boat shouting something. "Um, actually, hold on, we're trying to get them to surrender. Maybe stop attacking for a moment and start looking as scary as you can?"

She grit her teeth and nodded at Enterprise.

"You can count on me, sis!" She said with a salute. Practically skating off to get a better vantage, she took aim at the bridge of one of the undamaged ships, standing by to see.

And then... things got weird. She looked at her sister, giving her a glare that said 'what's going on here?'

Naga - Adventurer's Guild

"Dohohohoho, the only schoolwork here is life itself!" Naga said to Yukari, clapping her hands happily at the girl's bombastic sound effects.

"Well okay then, it's adventuring time," she took off running to the exit - and the APC - while practically trying to drag Yukari with her, taking a moment to stop by one of the villagers' long-unused ox carts on the way there and bring it along too as she made her merry way to the APC.

Entry 002 Part 31 (Lune - Fire Nation Capital)

Ges took the time to rush through the busted barriers, but he was surrounded by the remaining magicians, who shot a bunch of molten rocks right at him. These rocks might burn through his armor and get at his circuitry that way, crippling him in the process. I had to save him before that happened!

I quickly changed the Zankantou back into the spoon-sword and attempted to deflect some of the rocks back at the magicians. I hope they like a taste of their own medicine!

“Are you okay, Ges?!”

Milliana - Akihabara Streets

Judging by the descriptions given to Milliana, the Almighty is their creator and Lady Binah is their leader. Sandalphon and Metatron are Lady Binah's enforcers. Milliana is quite glad they are on her side even though they seemed to judge her with their looks.

Milliana gasps when Sandalphon pulls out one of her magical items. It somehow had the capability of recreating images of people very well. According to Milliana's boss, this item is called a smartphone. Is this the power of an archangel?! Thus, Milliana studies Lady Binah for a bit.

As Milliana observes the picture, She notes, “She is pretty... How did you two, um, first m—meet her?”

Malia - Majima Construction

It seems Majima realized Malia's true talent and made her an offer to dance for him during her spare time. Come to think about it, that would be a good idea. Malia can finally do something with her free time when she's done with work. The workers from Majima Construction loved Malia's dancing. Is it possible that some of these workers could be on be break at Majima's club?

“Sounds g-good to me,” notes Malia as she pulled out her crumpled map of Akihabara. “Where can I find this club?”

Hiccup and Toothless - Fire Nation Harbor

After surviving the fire tornado, Hiccup got word Siluca's group asking how they could help. Now that the enemy had surrendered, the Viking relayed Siluca's message telling them go go near the southern watchtower and that the harbor area should now be safe now.

'Maybe I should've just given her the radio,' Hiccup thought.

With that out of the way, Toothless landed near the "Fire Lord".

"So, you surrender?" Hiccup asked. This is probably the impostor that was planned, but he's holding off any gloating just in case.

Fire Nation Harbor

Rico's blood chilled; he caught sight of the interloper the second the M16 lady pointed him out. He didn't even register the comment about how hard it would be to throw a torpedo at him, because he was genuinely surprised by the fact he'd managed to make his way here without being detected.

And he was wearing what appeared to be a royal robe. And calling for the Fire Nation to stand down.

The fighting stopped.

Somehow, Rico found this worse than when he was staring down a fire whirl.

"Cover me," Rico asked of M16. "I've got a bad feeling about this." Nevertheless, he cautiously began walking towards Ozai, not making to draw any of his weapons, but feeling quite thankful that that Demonica rifle was slung over his chest. If things went wrong - and this man was a dictator, Rico was absolutely sure they were going to go wrong - he was going to need it, toot-suite.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."

Vessel, Egg Room, "Steal" Is An Ugly Word

Reiko's assertion of its intentions was... almost correct. From what the Vessel understood, stealing was considered a bad thing. Yes, in a sense it had a plan to "steal" the egg from the Fire Lord, but wasn't it more like saving it from a grim fate? As a fellow once-prisoner of an egg, it felt a measure of empathy towards the boiling hot being.

Naturally, pulling such a thing out of the water was another matter entirely. Vessels were not fireproof last it checked. M16 seemed to think that it was a gemstone of sorts? "egg" It wrote down on the floor before the hot spring, ripping the floor tiles apart for it. Then, thinking a bit more on what it planned to convey, it found another set of floor tiles to rip apart. "deserves better", it wrote.

Alalia, God Tree

"She's curious." Alalia replied, giving the harpy a curious look before shrugging. "Looks like you've got a chance to convince someone of your 'Greater Good'. I wouldn't bet on it though, speaking from experience. That kind of control over people isn't usually given willingly." The look the dryad fixed O'Kais with made it clear she wasn't beyond believing the same of him, or was at least wary of it.

Bowsette, Forest

"I know the type well." Bowsette stated as she watched the image with critical eyes, and an almost hunger. "A fairly common theme for modern games, usually fighters or those shooters kids seem to love these days. I've seen a few in my time, and met those from them."

She chuckled and rested her hands on her thighs, looking confident. "The villains of such places sometimes have unique abilities, but most of them are just ordinary humans. It won't be a problem for me, especially with you at my side. How far away is it? We should fly there immediately to get a proper look!"

Her nose twitched briefly, the koopa catching a scent before craning her massive head around to look for the intruder. Spotting the girl, the fixed her with a suspicious glare. "You some sort of spy? How much did you hear."

Fire Nation Palace (Lost Vessel, Pure Vessel, Reiko, M16, O'Connell, chaos) ~ A Better Suggestion...?

The Lost Vessel stopped its examinations of the egg when its sibling gently patted it on the head. It turned to face the elder Vessel before bowing its head slightly in appreciation of the camaraderie. Incidentally, this put it in a good position to see its sibling's suggestion, which was to...take the egg? At the very least, that's what that gesture looked like and what Reiko seemed to take it as.

It could see the logic in that as it turned to look upon the egg again. If the Fire Lord was using it to stay alive, perhaps they could use its abilities for their own benefit, provided they could get it out of here.

What the elder Vessel wrote next was decidedly confusing: "Egg deserves better."

What did that mean? Did the elder Vessel assume that this egg was a living being that the Fire Lord was abusing? Well, it was an egg, but this looked more like some kind of crystal sculpted into the form of an egg to the Lost Vessel. Even infected husks had more life than stone. Though, perhaps there was something within the egg that was the real power source....

Now that it thought of it, there was a temple that contained a black egg in the Crossroads. It had walked past that temple numerous times while getting from area to area. Once it even went inside and took a look around, to find nothing but a sealed door into the egg. Presumably there was something behind that door, although it wasn't sure what. Was this egg similar?

A better idea came to the Lost Vessel. It swung its nail in the direction of the egg, before hunching over and gesturing towards itself, to indicate something flowing towards and into itself. If the egg was a shell for something else, then destroying the egg and moving whatever lie within to a different, easier-to-transport container. How convenient it was that they traveled with beings designed to do just that.

Of course, it came to the conclusion that maybe the non-Vessels in the group weren't going to understand what it was trying to say. Hopefully the "break the shell" part was clear enough, but perhaps the "have the Lost Vessel absorb the power itself" part wasn't clear.

So it turned to its sibling. Surely the elder Vessel would know...?

Gespenst - Chasing the Dai Li

Gespenst did not even slow down, pulling out his grand plasma cutter, using the width of the blade to hold it like a shield infront of him self to deflect away the molten projectiles. He gave a nod to Lune to thank her for the help but he did not lower the power of his boosters for even a fraction of a second, practically lunging at the closest Dai Li agent to tear into him like a wild animal.

Enterprise - Fire Nation Harbor

Big E merely gave a shrug to Yorktown. She knew this wasn't the fire lord that the other group was fighting considering this guy had clothes on and also wasn't shooting fire all over the place on arrival.

"Play it cool for now, I think I might know what's up."

Enterprise started walking over to Ozai as her planes returned to her.

Char - Shrine Gate

"mostly hostile barbarians, that's about it."

Char gave the shortest and bluntest answer possible, he didn't want anyone poking his nose around the shrine gate while he was just starting to get somewhere with making alliances. And also that fat cat gave him bad vibes, it reminded him of that haro toy Amuro had made that haunted him during his time on the Argama.

It is awfully silly, but they really do work. Before you got here, Wendy was using one of those lewd magazines to cast fire magic. But they’re actually kinda lame though. You’re supposed to go to this statue on the east side of the city and pway to this useless goddess to even cast the magic, but I think only the people from Wendy’s world can use it. The people there get awfully touchy if you so much as even poke their useless goddess statue; they even tried to kill someone as adowable and cute as I am~!

Vessel, -concern-, Egg Room

It seemed its sibling had some ideas about the egg. It stared at The Lost Vessel's pantomime before the recognition struck it. Surely not...? They, as the Voidborn, were made to contain The Infection, but trying to contain anything else? Given how hot the egg seemed to be, what if its sibling combusted on the spot should it try such a stunt? At the same time, transporting the egg seemed to be out of the question. None of them here seemed prepared to deal with such high temperatures.

And if it was a living being inside of that egg, would it be even possible to be absorbed? The Vessel tilted its head as it stared at its smaller sibling. They were all but strangers to each other, but the bond of the birthplace and their heritage bonded them together. To lose it here, it would feel strange. Sad, perhaps? But then again, the Vessels were not made for emotions. After a moment of thought, the bugbeast nodded. Its hand gently rubbed The Lost Vessel's head before it stepped back, letting it take the stage.

Its hand stretched out as it stood between its sibling and the egg and the rest of their party, hoping that they will not interfere any. Now all that was left was to hope.

Shigure and Morgrim, Shrine Gate

Fire Nation Palace (Lost Vessel, Pure Vessel, Reiko, M16, O'Connell, chaos) ~ I'm Ready

It seemed the elder Vessel agreed to let the Lost Vessel make the attempt. With a final nod of its own, it turned to the egg, drew its nail...and hesitated.

Come to think of it, it had no idea what was going to happen when the egg's shell was cracked. Its perception of the Infection had been some kind of miasma, the sort that sometimes wafted out of defeated husks, and so far it had been assuming the Fire Nation's power was similar. What if it wasn't? There was also reason to believe that the Fire Nation's power was explosive.

The Lost Vessel was already injured. If it cracked the shell with its nail, and the egg exploded, chances are it wouldn't survive the blast. If it was dead, then this whole endeavor would be moot and the group would have been better off trying to take the egg intact.

It glanced between the various weapons the others had, namely Reiko's rifle. Perhaps one of them was better off cracking the shell first. On that thought, it backed away from the egg as far as it could reasonably go before turning to the others and pointing at the egg again with its nail.

Then it braced itself the best it could.

Reiko, The True Neo Palace
"Uranium doesn't emit...whatever that is." Reiko was far from a nuclear physicist, but M16's idea came across as well out of the bounds of science. Unless, perhaps, being bathed in radiation made people have superpowers.

Reiko could use some superpowers. Being a completely normal person with no abilities that put her above the common man whatsoever, natural or acquired, was a pain so far. How was she to live?

"No one puts a precious stone in a bath anyway."

What unfolded before her after that was a little play of pantomime. Bugs were pointing, staring, holding off...and there were only so many non-verbal cues that anyone could take, no matter how perceptive, before they decided to go with the best guess.

"...Sorry about this." That was directed more towards the humanish members of the group. She pointed her rifle at the egg, and added to the Vessels "When we return, I'll teach you something important."

And then she shot the egg a number of times.

Harbor

Waiting until the Sakura Empire boat came within range of him, Ozai simply smiled ever so slightly as he waited for everyone who needed to hear his words to come in closer and those that didn't to go further away as was the case of the surviving Firebenders who lined up neatly in the distance, assuming an at ease position while still remaining far out of ear shot.

"Well... we certainly climbed Mt. Niitaka, didn't we?" Somehow remaining unruffled despite everything that was going on and the distrust being shown his way, the more garbed Fire Lord simply asked that simple question with a knowing if slightly mischievous smile on his face while he appraised everyone gathered with a slight nod. "In any case, I do suppose it is time for... negotiations, yes? Perhaps somewhere more quiet and private?"

Fire Nation Palace Interior

As people finally deliberated on what to do with the egg in perhaps the most dynamic way possible via a multiple round salute with a sniper rifle, there would be a rather noticeable effect happening due to such actions. Mostly the shot projectiles proceeding to rebound off of the smooth curvature of the surprisingly solid shell to zing around the enclosed area, bouncing off the surfaces a few times before finally either embedding themselves into the room itself or simply falling to the floor once momentum was spent.

Still, the repeated firings did result in cracks forming in the crystalline shell, spreading further and further in a cobweb-esque manner with each resultant pull of the trigger until something shining and white could be seen squirming around inside. And then movement resulted in whatever was trapped inside the egg began to jostle the whole thing before a loud cracking sound occurred and boiling water splashed everywhere from the result of limbs thrusting themselves on out of the covering.

If anyone actually did manage to get splashed by the liquid, they'd find that after the brief amount of pain of being hit by heated water would be a sort of sweet relief one would find after they grew accustomed to bathing in a hot spring, with their injuries actually closing themselves up much more rapidly at a rate noticeable to the naked eye.

Finally as whatever was inside the egg made itself known after the light show died down, the assassination team would come face to face with a curiously garbed child that held the characteristics of a phoenix as was evident by his coloration and the fact that he sported wings as well as bird-like talons in lieu of more human hands.

Staring at the assembled group with a rather intense gaze that was highly similar to that of a bird of prey, the youngling cocked his head on over to the side even as he thrust a hand into the boiling water to receive the tool that held up his egg prison, a golden staff with a ringed head, moisture immediately evaporating off of his personage. "...Mother?" Staring back and forth at everyone present, the intense looking bird boy seemed to be rather out of sorts.

Outside Fire Nation Palace

Surprised at the fact that Gespenst lunged forward without heeding his injuries, the attacking Dai Li found himself in mid motion to punch out another attack when the rocket powered mech cleaved into him in twain, the superheated Plasma Ripper not even letting the bifurcated halves bleed as they fell apart with the smell of cooked flesh.

Lune's impromptu lacrosse shenanigans meanwhile made the rest of the Dai Li's speed slow down further into a snail's crawl since they couldn't actually bend actual magma in mid flight while focusing on going forward, diverting the globs at the last second with frenetic movements.

Unfortunately for them though it was about that time that Ozai burst out of the molten cocoon with wrathful eruption, roaring towards the heavens in an unhinged manner even his raw wrath sent the surviving Dai Li flying like rag dolls due to the superheated gases that burst out of the enclosed area. "MY EGG!" YOU CRETINS... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Rather noticeable was that the flowing strands of white sparkles that was being channeled into the man was now unable to be seen in the least.

As the bare-chested man screamed with impotent rage, those about would notice that there were a couple of changes on his personage such as the fact that he now sported a huge pair fiery wings that sprouted from his back, with plumage that actually sported individually crafted feathers made from plasma even.

And then the angry man-bird spread his wings wide open like someone flinging curtains apart, shooting off a fan-shape barrage of razor sharp and burning hot pinions that flew with the whistling of manifold arrows. Even worse was that as soon as they impacted against something they would then spark into a small explosion that blanketed the battlefield in a smog of swirling dust and debris.

Forest

"I see. I suppose when you proclaim yourself a villain, you should at least be capable o working in a den of rogues. Also... Why do you keep talking about games? Is that your theme or something?" Rather visibly confused and annoyed that Bowsette kept bringing up the newfangled term of 'vidya gamz', the alchemist's attention was diverted to the quiet newcomer that was just... sort of staring at them from yonder.

"...What are you?" Feeling that Void Termina was rather different to her senses than most people to put it lightly (even the super powered freaks of nature already running about), the alchemist seemed to have a bit of a prospective shine in her gaze as she looked the girl over.

Akihabara Streets

"Oh, we were found by the generous Lady Binah in our youth who saw that we could be so much more. Definitely one of the better Decemveri to be under unlike those dirty traitors Malkuth, Chokmah, and Keter. We were brought up by her and groomed to become productive members of Heavenly society, ensuring that the celestial bureaucracy could continue running without too much hitches since in-fighting is a big no-no when demons from Hell kept besieging our paradise."

Responding rather happily despite the fact she was all but stating that she and her sister were brought up as the angelic version of the secret police and that they were in a forever war with the underworld where both sides lost many people with every conflict, Sandalphon remained her normal chipper self.

"In any case, we don't really associate much with the mortal or outside worlds so being around a place with so much humans is quite a fresh experience for us! Is it true that mankind constantly wars among themselves due to minute differences in interpreting theological texts?" Innocently asking such a loaded question with a straight face, Sandalphon wondered just what was up with humans that made them so volatile.

Wendy's

"Oh, well we do have cats and we also have Erunes too! Unless you're not the latter, in which case I'm sorry for assuming." Chuckling rather sheepishly due to the fact she didn't want to stereotype but still made things awkward, the skyfarer gave an affirmative thumbs up to the question about the uniform.

"Oh yeah, I can sew you a new one if you want. Just gotta know your sizes and you should be good to go tomorrow since I'll be done by then. You'd look pretty cute in them too so that's just a bonus." Indeed, the charm of seeing a catgirl in uniform was something mighty powerful. Especially since this one didn't seem to have the cultural habit of exposing her back and sides.

Reiko, The Fire Nation...Nursery?

Reiko moved as the bullets bounced, or more accurately before they bounced. She lifted her right shoulder slightly, and she could feel the way her armor clattered, her fabric rippled as the round passed by harmlessly.

She also felt one strike the red horn on her helmet, harmlessly snapping it off.

It cracked, and her interest rose as it revealed itself not as a mere jewel, but a literal egg. Something was moving inside! She moved her head away from her scope, waiting to see what would come out...

This something was...a fully clothed boy?

Reiko didn't know how to parse this.

She shuffled back just an inch, giving the child a raised eyebrow and some of the strongest confusion she had ever expressed: "What."

Hearing him identifying...her as the mother? The small Vessel, standing close to him? Everyone? None of these answers worked out in her head. "...No. We're not your mother." Probably.

She hadn't lowered her rifle, or taken her finger off the trigger yet.

M16A1 - Palace

"Smart thinking," M16A1 nodded approvingly at Reiko's reaction. "It's hard enough getting a date out here, being stuck as a single mother's just going to tank your love life. I think things might be coming up M16 soon, too, so you can't rely on me to wingman you at the club either."

Fire Nation Palace (Lost Vessel, Pure Vessel, Reiko, M16, O'Connell, chaos) ~ What.

As Reiko's shots hit the egg, one after the other, the Lost Vessel could see something swirling within. That looked about what it was expecting to be inside. This was it. It was time to carry out the purpose it was born to do, even if it was not the Infection it was about to absorb.

Then the egg cracked, sending water splashing everywhere. Even at this distance it was at, the Lost Vessel was unable to avoid being splashed. Surprisingly, it found that after the initial sting this water was indeed more of a hot spring's water instead of unpleasant burning. Considering its state now, it almost wished it would have tried using the spring to heal its injuries, but this was no time for regrets.

That mattered little, compared to what had been imprisoned inside the egg. As it turned out, there was not a miasma, but an intact being. Almost human, if not for the wings and claw-like hands. Its initial surprise gave way to preparing to a fight as it noticed the look on the being's face. A new enemy to face was not what it expected, but if it must fight to contain the Fire Lord's power, then it would....

...Except it turned out violence seemed to be unnecessary, as it became clear the being was more confused than hostile.

At that point the Lost Vessel became noticeably less tense as it just kind of stared at the being. Once again, its one and only expression had become accurate to what its actual feelings were. A blighted miasma. An explosion of power. Even a new enemy to bring down. All of those were things that it felt prepared to handle. A non-hostile being such as this, who seemed to be inquiring about a "mother?" It just didn't know what to make of it.

After a moment or two, the Lost Vessel slowly and cautiously approached the being to get a better look. While its hand was on its nail and it looked prepared to leap back if need be, it also didn't look like it was going to take the first swing. It wasn't planning on attacking if no attacks were incoming; source of the Fire Nation's power or not, there was just no sense in starting a fight if it was unnecessary.

While it never let the being leave its sights entirely, it did cast a glance at the rest of the group, as if asking them what they made of this odd sight.

Forest (Void Termina, Bowsette, Cagliostro) ~ An Accurate Answer

While the girl watched the conversation before her, something else caught her attention. Something that had been small enough to escape her notice before. In fact, they were tiny. And very brightly colored.

Curiosity piqued to the point where she wasn't much listening, not that she really understood what was being talked about in the first place, she knelt down and gently picked one of the small creatures up. Upon finding that this red-colored one actually seemed to look somewhat like herself on a much smaller scale. Her head tilted to one side curiously as she held the little being on on outstretched palm.

She didn't get much of a chance to make much of it before the other two present noticed her and started asking her questions.

Her initial response was nothing more than a confused stare. Then she spoke.

"Lots. But...nothing?" Well, it made sense to her, anyway. She did hear lots about what was being spoken, but most of it flew over her head. She wasn't interested in what they were saying, anyway. She just thought they and the little tiny creatures around them were interesting.

The second question was more confusing. "What are you?" The girl thought and thought, a frown crossing her face, but came up with nothing. No one had ever asked her anything like that before, and she never thought to ask anyone about that herself. In the end, she answered the best she could.

"...Me?"

Junko - Some Alleyway in Akihabara

Yes, and I’m 100% certain that if anyone else found out about our arrangement, they would stop at nothing to crush our dreams and desires.Junko said as she briefly pressed her newly donned glasses. “I’m sure we have many more subjects we can discuss within the near future, though unfortunately I must go. I still need to prepare my lessons for my classes later this afternoon. Before I go, is there anything you might wish to ask now?

Siluca - Fire Nation Harbor

Was this supposed to be the image of their all-powerful Fire Lord? It was incredibly difficult to believe that the soldiers on that ship had knelt so easily to this facsimile, especially when the officers would have likely known the Fire Lord would have been in his palace. And did they not see that phoenix-like pillar of flame?

If they believed this man was supposed to be him, it would explain why they disengaged so quickly, but was Ozai the sort of man who would call for this ceasefire so quickly?

When Kaga finally came into view, Siluca was not sure how to interpret her expression, other than mild puzzlement. Seeing as this man was likely her own follower, Siluca was also somewhat puzzled that the one who spearheaded this operation would have nothing to say right now. Now that the fox-ship was this close, it seemed something had changed about her overall appearance since Siluca had seen her in Akihabara.

Climb Mt. Niitaka? Hadn’t Kaga said something like that before?

“Fire Lord Ozai, what place would you have in mind for hosting our negotiations?” Siluca asked.

While the mage had a few ideas of her own, it would be suspicious to the remaining Fire Nation soldiers nearby if they chose a location favorable to them. Furthermore, it was more likely that Kaga’s subordinate would know which locations would have been suitable for private negotiations, seeing as he likely lived here before and would thus be more familiar with the area.

Siluca’s Forces - South Fire Nation Harbor

Now that the fighting had cleared out, Remi forwarded the general order from Hiccup to the others, and the squad of volunteers would return to the wreckage of the watchtower. Most of them watched the distant negotiations from the inward-facing harbor shore, though Eisen and the earthbenders began examining and searching through the tower wreckage to see what was still intact or salvageable.

“Well, it looks like it’ll be a while,” remarked Remi, “looks like the battle’s over for now.”

“You think we’ll get anything out of this?” said Lian, still digging through the rubble. “Our leader said she’d reward us after all this, but I really hope that tea set didn’t get crushed by that fall.”

Malia - Akihabara Streets

According to Sandalphon, Lady Binah took in the angel duo in their youth. Apparently, Binah saw potential in the angel duo, making her one of the better Decemveri in comparison to the three traitors. Why would those guys betray the Almighty? Did they give into mortal sin? With those questions in mind, Milliana wonders if these two would do the same. Luckily, Binah raised the angel duo to be productive members of society, so there's no chance of that happening.

And then they asked Milliana a hard question. Is it true that humans constantly fight among each other because of their unique takes on theological texts? Milliana tilts her head in response to that.

“Is that the r-reason you think people fight? There are many reasons why they fight, I think? I, um, wish they did not do that. I do not l—like it when people fight.”

Entry 002 Part 32 (Lune - Fire Nation Capital)

Ges killed another one of the magicians with ease. At the rate he's killing the bad guys, he's a killing machine. I'm no slouch, but he's so much better than me. He might even come up with a great way to punish the Fire Lord himself.

And speak of the devil himself! The Fire Lord had made his reappearance on the battlefield. He somehow changed into a phoenix-human hybrid. If I were to tell my story to anyone in the Room, they'd ask me if I was on drugs or something. The Fire Lord had an angry breakdown as he yelled at us for breaking his precious egg. The image of the Fire Lord being a doting father popped into my mind for reason. And now, you readers have that image in your brains! Enjoy!

After tanking a few of the Fire Lord's projectiles (Man, they stung real bad), I quickly handed Ges my Zankantou and ordered him, “Go wild with my sword. I wanna see how you'll punish him for his crimes.”

Marx – An Akihabara Alleyway

Awww...she is already leaving...

"Hmmm...nope...", Marx replied.

"Hehehe...well...I suppose we are parting our ways now...", Marx made a kind smile.

You might know everything I'm going to do...but that's not going to help you, since I KNOW EVERYTHING YOU'RE GOING TO DO! STRANGE, ISN'T IT?

Harbor

He wanted to negotiate. Admittedly, the first response from Rico was outright confusion. Perhaps it was simply because of the particulars of his job - after all, the Agency didn't exactly have a history of sending him after individuals who could be reasoned with, talked out of their crimes, and who accepted diplomacy as a viable option for international relations. He'd been busting authoritarian skulls for 21 years, and this was the first time his mark had ever called for a ceasefire and asked to talk.

He took a few seconds to get his ducks in a row. This was a brand-new situation, and while he normally would have appreciated a call away from violence, he hadn't forgotten what he had seen in that Fire Nation fort he'd helped raid. The Fire Nation had enslaved people and forced them to work with a metaphorical gun pressed into their back. He'd seen it before, far too many times to count. He'd seen what that did to people - both the prisoners who faded away, working too hard with not enough calories to go around, and the wardens, who by and large morphed into vicious, sadistic caricatures of their former selves. Doped on power.

Siluca had already asked where they'd be taking place. Rico made her way towards her. "I hope you realize who you're dealing with," he cautioned. "You remember the slaves, don't you? Because I sure as hell do. And I must admit, the prospect of talking with a slaver is not one I like."

Ozai was nearby. Near enough that he'd likely be able to hear what Rico was saying, if he cared to listen. If Rico showed any sign that he'd thought about that, he didn't seem to show it.
