So apparently Fiona’s still not dead after all.

So my guess is that Fiona is the one that got busted out of Tartarus, unless it was outright stated and I missed it. And it's pretty funny Mel got knocked out over it because she has no clue what Fiona looked like. Also wonder how Harry is going to take the news.

Mel may not know what Fiona looks like but that isn’t a risk the Sarcana are willing to take.

So the new episode. I liked the stuff with Maggie's emotions. Not sure how I feel about Harry suddenly having a son.

Harry needs hugs.

[up]Waiting to see how it plays out, don't think they'll focus too much on him. Though it would be nice to learn about Harry's past now that we know who the Sarcana busted out.

This show really needs to know the difference between an empath and a telepath.

The twist with Knancy seemed like it was done for the sake of having a twist. Sid reminds me a lot of Uther Pendragon of BBC’s Merlin. She made a deal with a force she didn’t comprehend and is now hellbent on revenge instead of owning her own mistakes. It’s also hard to take the “she’s a fellow witch” excuse for sparing her seriously when she had no problem threatening the life of a fellow witch herself.

Also, do all people resurrected by necromancers become demons or is it just a thing with Nancy? If the former, why didn’t Harry just lead with that when warning them about the necromancers. If it’s the latter, then why are necromancers considered evil? It can’t be because they raise the dead since the elders do that themselves.

I really liked the plot with Harry and his son. I guess this show is a lot better at the personal relationships and issues of the cast than the magic elements.

A bit disappointed where Macy's closing statement to Medusa went, and even more so with the reveal of Marisol's killer.

Hm. Season one was originally supposed to be sixteen episodes but got an extra six episodes added after episode four aired. With next week being the original finale for the season, I wonder how the extra six episodes impacted it. Like if it was reshot or something to make it flow better with episodes seventeen through twenty-two.

I think this is the best take on the Medusa myth I've ever seen in any media.

And I doubt it is a coincidence that the guy slut shaming girls is also called Chuck.

A bit disappointed where Macy's closing statement to Medusa went,

May I ask what you felt was wrong with it?

Feel free to correct if I'm wrong: It seems off to call refer to either as a cover-up, since both were blatantly out in the open which feels much worse. Also, was hoping Macy would point out the person Medusa came to help was currently hiding in the bathroom terrified and that she got innocent people in the crossfire, neither of which helps Daphne or Medusa (since everyone else was gearing up to kill her).

In the case of Medusa I think calling it a cover up makes sense. The information that Harry had on Medusa was based on biased accounts and Macy had to look at the family book to know about Medusa. It's obvious from Charity's reaction that Medusa being a rape victim wasn't something people were supposed to know. In regards to Daphne, seeing as how Lucy didn't know about the slut shaming until Mel told her about it, I think it's appropriate to say there was some form of a cover up.

Also, was hoping Macy would point out the person Medusa came to help was currently hiding in the bathroom terrified and that she got innocent people in the crossfire, neither of which helps Daphne or Medusa (since everyone else was gearing up to kill her).

That wouldn't have worked. Medusa had already chosen to see these people as the enemy. It was Macy acknowledging Medusa's pain when no one else would have that allowed her to see what she was doing was wrong. From Medusa's perspective she was doing Daphne a favor and telling her what she was doing helped no one would just make her more hostile. She needed compassion not scolding.

The make up for Old Harry was very well done.

Maybe I didn't get quite a good look at it but what was so phallic about Viralis' dagger?

I don't know if naming a demon that brainwashes women after a drug that treats erectile dysfunction is smart or unintentionally funny.

Interesting finale. A little too similar to what happened in Buffy season 6 but I think it was handled well.

Nothing about the new season?

So, I've been undecided if I want to try the reboot. The original was a guilty pleasure for me. Is this series worth it?

I can personally vouche for the first season of this reboot being decent television. Haven't caught up with the second season yet.

I never watched the original so I can't compare them but I enjoyed season one of this. I need to catch up on season two but so far it's a bit of a reboot so I can't judge it yet.

I stopped caring and watching mid-season 2. Everyone I was listening to recap it in podcast stopped in mid-season 2 and mid-season 3 because it got too bad and they just felt... bad talking about it. It became draining because it stopped becoming enjoyable.
