Agreed. Those break downs had a lot of personality behind them.

Oh God I didn't know that Ulysses gender-bent real-life historical figures into hot woman.

Da fuck? Seriously that is so not sexy at all, I have know idea why they keep doing these horrid historical blasphemies.

I'm not even that big history buff but the idea of a show gender-bending Benjamin Franklin & George Washington just so they can dick-sick some vanilla-lead stand-in motherfucker is just unappealing in so many ways imaginable.

There. Fixed it for you.

Who doesn't want the Rules 63 Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin romance with Jeffrey Dahmers?

Ulysses is bad for all the reason Geoff gave, but I was personally amused by the last few episodes turning into a bad Fate rip-off.

And the fairy somehow managed to be Astaroth, the Lady of the Lake, and the Goddess Venus all at once.

I have to say, I'm shocked that Marchden Maechden was a runner-up for worst anime, considering it was actually pretty good but got screwed over by behind-the-scenes stuff that didn't even let it finish. And also that How Not to Summon a Demon Lord wasn't mentioned, considering how it went from unenjoyably trashy, to outright fucking disgusting within the last couple episodes.

[up] Krem's a loli but one with a fairly Stripperiffic outfit at a guess

Eh, the first half was pretty good, but the writing kinda fell apart later on. I think it's worth mentioning. My pick for "that show wasn't really that bad" would be Shichisei no Subaru, which was mediocre at worst. Also, surprised more isekai series didn't show up

He probably didn't want the list to be entirely made up of isekai… I mean, Ragnarok seems to be objectively far worse than Subaru.

[up][up][up], [up][up][up][up]Plus the show contriving to give her a slave collar and have the MC kiss her. I don't have a problem with Krem being a loli per se, but when her mannerisms and mental state are as childish as her looks, it's not fun.

Also that stuff with the traitorous knight girl not only being forgiven for her 'some nobles were mildly rude to me once so FUCK HUMANITY" backstory leafing to attempted genocide, but everyone happily letting her join the harem because why the hell not. Even the token demon girl at least cared for Krem.

Eh, I see why that would be off-putting, but not enough so for Geoff to consider it worse than his top 5 or worth being an honorable mention.

He did make a video about Demon Lord, praising it as a good ecchi show.

Yeah but that was before the anime got to adding the demon loli to the cast, which he said would probably drag the series down for him even in that video (and that was mostly just him detailing his early impressions and semi-hopeful prospects for the show).

As far is his Worst 5 video is concerned, I'm both surprised and not surprised Conception made the list. Surprised because I had forgotten that the game got an anime (for whatever reason, never thought it would end up being successful enough to earn an anime adaptation), but not surprised that my initial apprehension regarding the game was correct, and the premise was as creepy as it sounded . To think that I almost considered giving the game a try back in the day.

[up][up] Because it's a response to one of Geoff's videos. From a few months back, yes, but still a response.

I just watched MB's video and Uniquenameosaurus's rebuttal to it back-to-back, never watched either of them before, and wow, that was one of the worst rebuttals I've ever heard.

"PlatinumGames didn't need to have Nintendo fund Bayonetta 2, they could have just crowdfunded it!"
Wooooow, that's a terrible argument.

"Owning exclusive rights to an IP is the same thing as having a monopoly on an entire service."
I mean, that's technically true, but it's an apples and oranges argument if there ever was one.

"It's true that pirating can expose you to viruses that can wreck your computer, but eh, whatever."
Just gonna ignore that counterpoint, I guess.

"Virtue signaling-"
And that's officially where I mentally checked-out on this video.

Unique actually said that he thought he pioneered some argument against IP law that had never been thought of before, and was surprised to hear that it's a centuries-old debate.

I'm not saying IP law isn't in serious need of an overhaul, but this entire rebuttal just made MB's video look better. Predictably, MB's comment section is filled with people calling him a "Crunchyroll shill", while Unique's is filled with people complimenting his knowledge on IP law, something he admits he spent 20 minutes researching.

I might watch more MB videos down the road, if one catches my eye (I don't really watch that much anime, nor do I keep up with industry news), but I am never watching another of Unique's videos ever again. That was a train-wreck.

No. Whatever was said in that video, do NOT obey it. Support anime legally and use legal means to watch it.

[up][up][up]Glad I skipped out on the video. People love to have their opinions validated with the flimsiest bullshit, so that guy getting praise doesn't surprise me.

Looking at what this guy has on his channel, it seems kind of vapid.

That isn't really excuse for people in countries with lot of access to anime though tongue (and even then, there are so many anime series that you could just watch the stuff you DO have access for)
