I mean, I didn't start the conversation but... where else? The MCU thread moves pretty quick and tends to cover more contemporary news and this very much is devoted to discussing Endgame spoilers.

He may not have minded being Snapped, he did fuck off to a remote farm right after.
That said, for the purposes of this thought experiment let’s assume he didn’t for whatever reason.
Given Endgame, I don't really foresee any situation when he'd allow himself to be snapped.
Looking at him as charitably as possible, he wouldn't want to risk the stones being used to undo his progress. At the very least he'd stick around long enough to destroy them. Even if he's fine with disappearing, he wouldn't allow his work to remain unfinished.
Looking at him as critically as possible, he'd want to be around to see his grand plan realized.
Given these two situations, I can't envision him letting himself be dusted.

In any case I think the actual building of the time machine would depend on if Shuri is snapped or no. I can't remember if she was snapped or no (though my impression is that she was). The Time Heist itself may be a different story; they might pick different points in time to do so, and I'm not sure how they would know about Vormir.
Shuri was indeed snapped in the original timeline (but off screen IIRC)
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."Considering Spider-Man also survives as part of this alternate Endgame timeline, I wonder how he would feel seeing his Mentor Tony get snapped in front of him. I could see him being so traumatized that he gives up being Spider-Man. Maybe he even confesses his feelings to MJ earlier. I can also see Falcon taking over for Captain America . Dr. Strange and Nick Fury's roles would be interesting too.

Shuri was one of the people shown to be Snapped in the beginning of the movie.
It's been 3000 years…If Thanos snapped himself, would the stones disintegrate with him?
This place is careless.Nah, it looked like "using the stones to destroy the stones" was really hard, so it's highly doubtful that would happen as a side-effect of another thing. The gauntlet itself, maybe. But presumably if he got dusted the whole gauntlet, or just the stones, would just plonk to the ground.
And then Earth explodes the second it touches the Power Stone.
Things could have gone so differently if Ronan had just taken the time to have his engineers outfit the ship with a super-long poking stick for poking planets with the Power Gem.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.
Whether it involves Thanos himself would actually be a good way to address the question "did Thanos include himself as a random possibility to be Snapped, or is he a hypocrite and specifically excluded himself from the consequences of his own actions?"
And as someone else said, why are we having this conversation here? This seems like an odd place for it.
