Also it's possible that the Eye was specially designed to safely contain the Infinity Energy for use by semi-ordinary people, while the Gauntlet was intended for Gods or those powerful enough to become Gods, and thus didn't include those safety features out of the belief that the intended user wouldn't need them.
I wonder how the tv shows will deal with a post snap universe?
Place your past in a book burn the pages let them cook.My concern is that they really won't, it will be treated as though half the universe disappeared for a weekend and then life returns to normal.
You know what would be kind of funny? If they do a constant Gamora switch up. Like, should something to past Gamora happening, they could resurrect OG Gamora…
Anyway, it would have been a nice idea if there had been at least one character who got his power from an infinity stone for each stone. In a way, it would have made way more sense if Wanda had gotten her power from the reality stone, btw.
With Ao S, we will soon known. With the Defenders, most likely not at all, since the shows are all set before Infinity war and will now end with Jessica Jones. With Runaways and Cloak and Dagger, well, those shows are pretty disconnected anyway, so maybe they will just claim that they are set in the 2014 split timeline in which Thanos isn't a thing anymore (that timeline REALLY lucked out).

If it was comics Wanda it would have been a good way to get her reality warping powers but to simplify her for the big screen they made her more like Jean Grey and for that the Mind Stone made sense
Lamentably I can’t think of another good character to have reality stone sparked powers. Man-Thing, maybe?

Forever liveblogging the AvengersThey could go kind of complicated and say that Jane got pregnant from Thor back in 2013...which would mean that there is currently (currently means in 2023) a 9 to 10 year old running around who has the power of a reality stone infused with the power of an Asgardian.
Tata, Lady Thor!!!! Well, not really, more a new character with a pretty interesting backstory (since said character lived through the snap).
What would the reality powers be like?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe power of Franklin Richards.
Bite my shiny metal ass.I guess kind of like illusion powers?
This.
Remember when Ronan tried to grab the Power Gem, realized his folly as its power coursed through him, and so planted it in his hammer instead? It stopped murdering him with its power because he was no longer in direct contact with the thing. The hammer kept the Gem at a safe distance where he could just hit things with it without actually channeling the force of its might through his fragile body.
Note, however, that this may not provide optimal results. Glued to Ronan's hammer, he had to bring it to Xandar's surface and slam it into the ground in order to deliver a planet-crushing blow. Using the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos was able to obliterate a moon in orbit via the same Gem.
Infinity Gauntlet > Ronan's Power sledge. Ronan lost his crusade on Xandar 'cause he couldn't withstand the Gem's might the way Thanos can. Which honestly goes a long way towards justifying Thanos's arrogance throughout the series regarding the Infinity Gems in the first place.
By contrast, the Eye of Agamotto is like the warhammer. Dr. Strange does not grasp the Time Gem. It's housed in a special containment case which he magically levitates and opens, all the while never making contact with the Gem itself. But because of magic and centuries of study surrounding the Time Gem, he seems entirely capable of wielding it to its fullest potential nonetheless.
Dr. Strange has read the warnings at the back of the manual. Ronan was just improvising.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Be careful, someone very noteworthy on Twitter may have spilled a rumor about who bought Stark Tower in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
I'm not going to post it, but I will give (painfully obvious) hints:
- It might have been discussed previously.
- Most, if not all of you will end up saying "I knew it! It was so obvious!"
- It's someone deathly close to Spider-Man.

Uncle Ben returned from the dead and used his life insurance payout to become a tech mogul?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersAunt May?
New theme music also a boxOh, please, that is hardly a spoiler. There have been two possible theories floating around regarding what would happen to the tower for a while and the one which doesn't involve the Baxter building was always the more likely one in my book.
Plus, if I were Marvel, I wouldn't seat the F4 in New York anyway. They aren't as connected to New York as Spiderman is and the more cities they cover, the better. If for no other reason than it explaining why hero X doesn't turn up to this huge event where he or she would be really useful.
But if you don't base the FF in New York, then you don't get Ben's never ending war with the Yancy Street Gang.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoWhat is the yancy street gang and why does it have to be in New York?
Yancy Street is a play off New York location Delancey Street
The Yancy Street Gang are a group of I wanna say teens from Yancy Street who constantly prank the Thing so he can swear implied violent revenge.
The joke is he hates these children more than he hates the actual supervillans he fights?

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI thought the Yancy Street Gang was the gang that Ben used to hang around with/used to be tormented by when he was younger and before he became an indestructible rock monster, who still harass him despite the fact that he's an indestructible rock monster.
My various fanfics. The one thing I know for sure about the Yancey Street Gang is that they grew up into yuppies and when Ben was enjoying a night off without his powers he beat the shit out of them

So, Osborn?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Reminds me of how Avengers 1 almost had the Oscorp tower from the TASM series in the city skyline.
And how before TASM began they were thinking of retroactively incorporating the Raimi movies as the "first installments" of the MCU.

I think it might be that the Gauntlet is a big glove attached to the user's hand, the stones are directly attached and it's designed to use the power of the stones through the gauntlet. Meanwhile, the Eye is just a necklace that hangs loosely around the neck, it's not in constant contact with the user, and its power is manipulated using magic as a proxy.
