Yeah, that whole castle Beneviento sequence is probably the most legit horrifying sequence in any RE game. Especially the part with the fucking baby.

@Frozenwolf and M84 This reminds me of Generator Rex where the majority of the planet has been infected with nanomachines except one guy named White Knight. When he calls Rex a freak, Rex responds that he is actually the freak since everyone on Earth has nanites except him.

Guess Wesker will get his master race after all even if he isn't alive to see it.

The baby wasn't a part of Ethan's hallucination?

I personally think Jake is the worst offender. I was legitimately fine with him being that talented until I found out his age. It worries me how similar my problems are with Jake are like Alice was to me. Well, hopefully, he won't develop telekinesis as Heisenberg did.

I was trying not to mention that since his magnetism pretty good hint on what his boss fight would be about & the trailer already shows him using telekinetic/magnetism powers

Speaking of Jake, with his age in mind, when in the RE-timeline was he created?

I recall RE 6 taking place in real-time, so 2012. I think I'm wrong about that.

Its weird and dumb since there's no reason for him not to be his apparent age.

Its not like Wesker having an adult illegitimate kid requires super-science.

I'm pretty sure everything in the RE universe runs on Rude Goldberg logic. From architecture to having children.

At this point continuing the Redfield bloodline is going to require an act of super-science.

I mean, Eveline's whole goal was to get a family so... that's sort of a thematic full circle. Family bloodline that needs to continue, meet girl who forcibly conscripts people into being family members.

Oh so get this. The deluxe edition clarifies that the Connections is a criminal organization run by a former right-hand of Spencer, Brandon Bailey. So we have yet another schmuck that Spencer pissed off doing his own thing

Thats like the fourth or fifth character who has that motivation.

Okay but by this point five villains who have basically gone down this path because Spencer shat in his cereal is kinda pushing it.

You just know whoever came up with the idea to add hallucinagenic effects to the fungus' properties was patting themselves on the back so hard afterwards.

It basically gave Capcom carte blanche to put magic into their games. Because you can explain away stuff like teleportation or enemies turning into birds as visions created by the fungus.

Like, Lady Demitrescu's "daughters". They're not people who can turn into a swarm of insects. They're ALWAYS a swarm of insects, but they secrete pheremones that trick the brain into percieving them as human.

It's almost genius how much of a get out of jail free card to do nonsense it is. XD

To be frank, that's not really that impressive when Far Cry has been doing it since Far Cry 3.

Even then, it was also the original idea for Resident Evil IV.

The original premise was Leon was going to a castle that was full of hallucinogens and utterly lose his shit.

That became Devil May Cry instead.

Oddly, it only occurred to me while playing Village that Capcom either made this game out of the REIV remake's assets or vice versa or planned to share them from the beginning.

Which is good cost saving measures.

I approve.

It's a shame Beneviento gets so little screen time. Her section was my favourite part of the game. I hope if they make DLC then they make new sections for each of the lords. They did it for the Bakers in 7, so maybe.
