On the subject of Hunter, I feel like if we got a full season 3 we would get more 'Hunter's Journey of discovering what exactly he is'
People were theorizing we would have gotten a full Belos and Wittebro flashback episode had the 3rd season not been cut like it was, and that the Pictures in Belos memories showing the backstory between Philip and his Brother were snippets of what would have been, maybe this would be shown to us as Hunter is learning about the past and discovering who he is a Grimwalker of.
The First manI've found I don't want to think too much about what we could have got out of a full season 3 as I'm more interested in what we're actually getting
Right now I'm thinking about the theory that the reason there's a link between King and the Collector is that the prison holding the collector is located somewhere in King's mindscape

Does illusion magic allow for teleportation? Because when Adrian Grey reveals his true self to Hexcide, he starts on stage, giving terrible feedback to the rest of his "crew", before poofing away and appearing suddenly behind Gus to grab his arm.
Now, I initially thought "Oh, Grey was just projecting an illusion of himself on stage, and the real him was actually sneaking up on Gus while invisible."
But the onstage Grey hands his not-Starbucks to one of the Coven Scouts! So that was a physical person on stage. Did Grey get ANOTHER Coven Scout to disguise themselves as Grey giving everyone feedback? Cuz otherwise it really looks like Grey actually teleported in that instance.

Kaze ni Nare! For coven/sigil purpose, probably? Illusions and teleportation do synergize quite well.
SoundCloudCould also just be general power that all magic users have potential access to if they're strong or skilled enough as several characters have displayed similar capabilities. Darius, Terra, and Eberwolf were able to make things disappear and re-appear at will as well as Lilith and Hunter using it regularly in combat and neither of them are major illusionists. I'm surprised only Hunter has decided to incorporate it as his bread and butter, because teleportation, like super speed can be game breaking in terms of combat capabilities, but also Hunter has really neglected using his other capabilities, as he hasn't really done much beyond teleporting since Eclipse Lake.

Could be a generic spell that be done despite the brand.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’Here's something a fan noticed about the last episode: Whenever Luz used a glyph, it formed a spell circle and the paper didn't disappear after performing the spell.
Sooooo, does Luz have actual magic now?
Could be her glyphs being amplified by her Palisman, even in its egg form
GOH! JII! RAH!I'm probably going to guess the palisman is acting as a focus and allowing her additional capabilities. In the Season 1 finale when Luz fought Belos, Luz was able to cast spells without glyphs using Owlbert, and whenever she did use glyphs, several of them didn't disappear, the most obvious one being the icicle that Luz used to crack Belos' mask.
Speaking of Raeda, let's say that the two upon celebrating their relationship (possibly) with a drink, with Raine using their Bard magic to enhance the beverages.
I imagine them restating that bit from TTBK about not spitting in the drink. Only now Eda would half jokingly express disappointment at the fact.
And Raine turns into a blushing mess.

It's O.K to disagree by saying, "I don't get your argument/complaint". That allows for a back and forth and gives the other person a chance to try to explain more clearly and keeps it focused on the argument.
It's, um, kinda rude to say "you seem to just dislike the character" or trying to imply that they're "projecting dislikes and problems from other shows". That is a smidge too close to trying to attribute other motives and tends to lean into making the topic about the troper.
The former would help keep discussion smooth and civil so...let's keep it smooth and civil, please.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'm confused. Is "King's Tide" going to be the series finale, or are there three more extra-long episodes to wrap up the story? I heard the latter, but with the last few episodes everything is building up to a grand climax.
Edited by Snicka on May 25th 2022 at 6:05:10 PM
There are going to be three specials after the next episode. Not sure why you would think King's Tide is going to be the finale, there is still a lot of stuff to cover before the story can end in a satisfactory manner.
Apathy is Death. Worse than Death, because at least a rotting corpse feeds beasts and insects.”Kings’s Tide” is the season 2 finale. Seasion 3 is three 40+ minute episodes.
GOH! JII! RAH!I'm expecting this to finish up the Day of Unity plot and more than likely end Belos as the primary antagonist, like how in Amphibia All In ends the Earth invasion. I'm guessing season 3 will have to quickly tie up all loose ends like the political fallout from removing Belos as the emperor and potentially the dissolution of the coven system, how they want to end the Isekai plot about Luz and the Boiling Isles (there are a few choices, Luz can either be completely separated, the realms are separated, but there is a way to communicate back and forth, there could be another portal created so Luz can go back and forth, or the realms become interconnected with each other that they start affecting each other to the future like the finale to Star Vs.) and maybe have one last grand hurrah conflict, similar to the prophecy plot in Amphibia's Hardest Thing, which would probably have the Collector display his power.
Edited by HeyMikey on May 25th 2022 at 9:29:25 AM
What I want to happen is that Belos is defeated in Boiling Isles and tries to escape through the portal and winds up back in Gravesfield (the town where Luz is from) but said portal is destroyed while fighting him so there's no way to follow him except assembling a new one
The specials would be about Luz building a new portal and so she can return to her hometown to defeat Belos for good

As someone who otherwise is indifferent to Zuko clones, Hunter is fine? He's not anywhere near my favorites, because he's not particularly original, but he's also written competently, and not nearly as omnipresent as some other posters are making him out to be.
Honestly it sounds like people's problems with him here are more on them and their projection of personal grievances from past shows than on the show handling him poorly. Especially if they're invoking representation and SJ issues as an argument against him, because I've seen all too many times how Fan Dumb and Hate Dumb like to weaponize SJ issues as a way to make what are ultimately subjective personal opinions seem superficially objective.
