My Superhero Academy (Superhero Highschool RP)

Heya, I was considering joining this. Is this RP in a good position for me to drop in now or at least in the near future?

Sure. We're just about wrapping up an arc, so once that's done, you can jump right in.

Okey dokey

I figure that I'll go ahead and share my character concept while I'm at it. Hopefully it's not too off-the-wall as far as superhero concepts go 😅. The concept was Based on a Dream I had recently which I built into a general idea of: "What if someone without powers who wanted to have superpowers like other superheroes did gain superpowers and ended up with a bizarre unwanted superpower and ended up disliking and/or being embarrassed by it at first?" I imagine that this character would eventually learn to make lemonade with his lemons as time goes on, though.

Anyway:

• Real Name: Mitchell Wedell

• Superhero Name: Miss Ball the Seal

• Age: 17 (normal self); 26 (Miss Ball)

• Appearance: A Caucasian guy of average height (5'9'') and weight with strawberry blond hair as his normal self. Looks like a typical (albeit bipedal) brown seal as Miss Ball (3'7''). Wears a white and blue jumpsuit as himself and as Miss Ball (he wears it under "civilian" clothes as his normal self; it stretches to fit both his normal form and that of Ball).

• Personality: A socially-awkward and somewhat introverted fellow who has trouble relating to people (something not helped at all by his odd superpower).

• Powers: Accidentally gained the ability to transform into a seal superheroine from another world (does so by clapping his hands three times; does the same thing to transform back to normal). As "Miss Ball", Mitch has the ability to produce beach balls with varying properties (giant ones, small ones, exploding ones, floating ones, etc.) out of thin air, as well as normal seal abilities like being able to stay underwater for hours and withstand very cold temperatures.

• Gear: The beach balls he can summon as Miss Ball. Otherwise has no other gear.

• Backstory: Being a fellow with no super-powers of any kind who mostly kept to himself, Mitch often fantasized about having superpowers, though his dream superpower was the ability to create portals in mid-air. One night, however, a capsule appeared in his house out of an interdimensional portal, containing a strange stone. When Mitch touched it by mistake, he was infused with the powers (and form) of Miss Ball. He was not intended to receive these powers (they were meant for somebody else completely), but he is now stuck with them for life anyway. Needless to say, he is immensely embarrassed by his accidentally-gained superpower, was reluctant to start attending the academy (only doing so at the suggestion of his parents), and tries to avoid showing his very odd superpowers off in front of people.

• Miscellaneous: Is high-functioning autistic

2. Superhero Name: None
3. Age: 20 (if IRL age is allowed, that's my IRL age)
4. Year: Freshman
5. Appearance: As he is descended from Dust, he has inherited Dust's looks, but with short black hair styled like this◊ and with large, pointy canine ears.
6. Personality: Dustin is an outspoken and very friendly Warmblood who can engage in conversations, although he doesn't talk much due to the fact that he has mild autism and therefore doesn't understand a lot of situations. As a result, he'll end up doing some actions out of impulse without thinking about the consequences. He is also very knowledgeable as he'd frequently read up a lot of trivia in his free time. When the situation arises, he can be firecely protective towards the innocent and friendlies. He also has completely no idea that his ancestor is Dust, a Warmblood warrior who helped save numerous villages thanks to the Blade of Ahrah, a powerful talking sword that grants its user special magic powers and fighting skills.

Hand-to-hand combat: Dustin can easily take down opponents using whatever environmental objects he can get his hands on, like slamming a door onto an enemy's head numerous times to knock him/her out, thanks to his krav maga and kapap skills obtained from a self-defense training class and numerous fighting games.
3. Engineering skills: Dustin can craft makeshift weapons out of whatever resources he has, thanks to his father being an engineer.

3. Student job: Food delivery rider for Deliveroo, where his delivery vehicle is a used Fiat 500 that was given to him by a family friend.

One: What's his backstory?

Two: No videogame/licensed characters or offspring, thank you. It's all got to be original. That doesn't mean you can't use a pastiche or an expy, but you can't use the actual character. Also, unless they're a specific race — werewolves, centaurs, catpeople, etc. — no furries.

Well, I'm sorry, but this isn't an RP for licensed characters. If it was, I would have said so. If you just wanted to make a non-furry expy that fits better into the RP's verse, that'd be fine. But otherwise, maybe this isn't the RP for you.
