I mean this does have a lot of similarities to Phantom Blood.
Oh boy, if you don't like narrations you're not gonna like the future.
I do agree that the show could stand to have more faith in its storytelling, yeah. We've seen Nezuko struggle with her urges before, but she managed to overcome them immediately when Tanjiro's life was threatened. It's not unreasonable for her to overcome her urges after struggling, and it's one of the few ways she can still show her personality now that she's been transformed and gagged - even if that personality is mostly kicks to protect her older brother.
I definitely agree that the flashback to their house and Nezuko (metaphorically) seeing the two civilians as her family members was plenty strong on its own. You don't really need the hypnosis element as well unless there's a plan for a demon to later be like 'haha, I've shut off her conscious mind! Now for her instincts to—' before his head goes flying.
It's been fun.I found it strange that they even keep the hypnotism angle in the anime adaptation since beside here, it barely get any mention in the manga after this. It like an early plot point that got forget by the author.
E.T technically is a Isekai movie@Kotomikun
The hypnotism is the set up to a payoff later in this mini-arc.
They can't mass produce Nichirin bows but they can make Nichirin bullets. Super spoilers for later. Anime only's read at our own discretion. Genya uses them (with guns obvs) because he's incapable of using the breaths. He's also a demon eater and can eat the flesh of demons to gain their power.

Latest chapter out. Are we sure Kanao isn't actually a Breath of Fire user? Because that's some sick burnz she delivers.
After that though it never get mentioned again and if you remove it, nothing will affect the story.
Speaking of breath, which breath do you think Kanao will use? Breath of Insect like Shinobu or Breath of Flower like Shinubu's sister? Or something else?
It seem like Akaza manage to become something more than just normal demon, something closer level to Muzan but decided that he would rather stop there and united with his family. Nice symbolism of UM 1 cutting down pillars.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieKanao uses Breath of Flowers. She already used it when she saw Shinobu got eaten
Also interesting that for all of Akaza's resentment, he ws likely purposefully keeping himself from obtaining his full potential.
He still a warrior and a martial artist at his heart, he admit that the moment Tanjirou cut his head is when the battle have been decided, fair and square. His fiancee also help that.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieHuh, we never got to see Akaza's Blood Demon Technique. Unless his battle compass is one, but IIRC it's never said as his.
Seems pretty clear that's what it is...Akaza's entire style revolves around his body's strength. For all of Hantengu or Gyuutaro's gimmicks, Akaza would just rush them and rip them apart.
I think his battle compass is his Demon Blood Art. We saw him use it at the start of every battle, it not like some kind of martial art but like a speed and reflex buff for himself.

E.T technically is a Isekai movieSo self buffs?
How do you guys feel about the use of after the villain gets defeated, flashbacks on why they did and regrets that this series is fond of
Akaza’s in my opinion is one of the best for this series
One of the best parts of the series IMO. My favorite is probably Daki and Gyuutarou's death and afterlife scenes. I actually had to hold back tears at them.
Speaking of Daki and Gyuutarou... This has been on my mind ever since I caught up a few weeks ago: Muzan is kind of an idiot, isn't he? Like, he's spent the entire story moving between Stupid Evil and just regular stupid. When he was like 'man, Gyuutarou could've been so much stronger if he didn't have Daki holding him back' I was thinking 'okay, wow, this dude only has a superficial, surface-level understanding of what his minions are capable of, which really puts his earlier treatment of them in a new light that makes him look even dumber.' And the whole thing happened where he set the current arc in motion by casually waltzing into an obvious trap, and I went 'yeah, he carried himself like he's some Aizen-esque master schemer, but his actions are those of a complete dumbass'.
But, of course, that all makes sense, because unlike the Upper Moons, who earned their positions from centuries of struggling and competition, Muzan is ultimately just some guy who lucked his way into superpowers, and because his minions are utterly dependant on him, he hasn't had to put actual effort or thought into anything for the past thousand years. Which, yeah, that sounds like a recipe for believing way too much of your own hype and letting that turn you stupid.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Hot damn, Kanao is spitting that fire
That was great putdown.
Muzan is like an anti-Aizen.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieNew chapter, Inosuke come to the rescue... through the ceiling.
E.T technically is a Isekai movie@Gliphon @Battle Raizer I believe that Muzan is also fucking narcissistic POS that believes that he's better than everyone as demonstrated when he slaughters the Lower Moon who disappointed him.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."He’s great at that kind of role
I don’t even know Oyakatasama or whatever the fuck it is’s real name but his dialogue with Muzan before going allahu akbar is great
About recent chapter: PIG ASSAULT
Episode 7… Daaamn, that's a villain introduction if I've seen one. And it hadn't impacted me that much back when I read it in manga.
Poor Tanjirou though. If Tokyo scares you in the Taisho era, be happy you don't live in Heisei Reiwa.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I haven't seen the new chapter anywhere. Where's it at? Its usually out much later than today (Monday/Tuesday usually).

I saw the raw scan on 4chan, still waiting for translation.
Muzan is such an asshole and i love it. He scary and quite competent, yet very emotional and his emotional outburst always comeback to bite him in the butt.
E.T technically is a Isekai movie
The Narrating the Obvious definitely hurts a lot of the scenes though. Thankfully episode 6 was less heavy with it and mostly let the scenes speak for themselves, but sometimes I really want to tell Tanjirou "YOU'RE NOT A JOJO CHARACTER GODDAMMIT!"
