Super Mario Odyssey (SPOILER WARNING)

I fought the Lord of Lightning in the Chef Outfit cause I switched to it for a Moon and couldn't switch beforehand at the Ruined Kingdom. It made it and the preceding cutscene utterly hilarious. I also beat the game! ^^

Is there any way to rewatch cutscenes in your outfit(s) of choice? Boxer Shorts Mario makes ANYTHING funny.

You could always start a new game and grind for the 1,000 coins ASAP.

Speaking, of, I'd like to know how Boxer Shorts and a Cap does NOT equal relaxing resort wear for the snail at the beach house.

Someone made that joke on Twitter, but I did precisely the same thing last night and apparently that's not good enough.

Why are people bashing 3D World in relation to this game so much? I see negative comparisons on the Odyssey YMMV page a lot, as well as on forums. :( 3D World is my favorite Mario game, tied with 3! If Odyssey had included some of 3D World's mechanics and characters I'd love it even more!

It does have a 3DWorld mechanic...

So, I just beat the main story yesterday, a few thoughts:

- Overall a really fun and enjoyable game - just exploring the different worlds is a joy, and the new Capture mechanic is lots of fun! Just clearing the main story was kinda easy but getting some of the moons - now there's the real challenge!
- Postgame content looks really good so far, I'm enjoying the throwback and references to SM 64
- Waluigi cap/costume descriptions are sad :c

Man the difficulty spike in the Mushroom Kingdom is real.

I have absolutely no idea how to find the hidden treasure in the Hat Kingdom.

Edit: Figured it out; it involves the rumble feature.

Now I can't figure out what the "Within [Kingdom Name] Art" clue stands for.

what the frickety frack was with that sonic adventure music at the end there

Because people think all 3D Mario games should be like 64. World is a fine game and shouldn't be compared to Odyssey.

I would say that independent of this game, 3D World isn't the most superbly engaging Mario title I've ever played. But it's not a bad game.

So this is a random question but does "Jump Up, Super Star" count as an opening theme?

In the game itself? Not really, seeing as it doesn't show up until halfway through.

The escape sequence song could be an anime opening theme though.

Heh, the Japanese version of the Honeylune Ridge Escape theme is one of, if not the, most anime thing I've seen Nintendo do in one of their games, and that's including Breath of the Wild, Kid Icarus Uprising, and the recent Fire Emblem games.

Oh that's the name of that song.

Moons that are titled "Found with (whatever) Kingdom Art" are never in the kingdom they're listed under. You have to find the hint art in a level, then go to a different level and use the art to find a moon.

In the case of the Cap Kingdom, the art is in the plaza area at the base of the bridge to the tower, and it points you to the Moon Kingdom; several people are admiring the view of the planet next to where the Odyssey is parked.

I think her birthday is supposed to take place in the post-game.

You know, I find it hilarious that there was much ado made about Mario "not being a plumber anymore" a few months ago, and then he literally gets called "Plumber boy" in one cutscene in Odyssey.

It's because that's how he dresses...c'mon.

I like how the tuxedo outfit recommends not plumbing while wearing it.
