A huge honor for Ian Flynn.
I wonder if Flynn is aware many people from outside North America read his comics (like me, I've been reading him for 12 years now, and I'm Venezuelan)
I do hope Japan is kinder to the Trade releases, as I think those are better.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Just realized, were the Archie comics ever published in Japanese?
Archie Sonic?
From my knowledge, it never left North America. Archie comics as a whole is niche besides regular Archie.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I recall picking up a few Archie Sonics in my Glasgow branch of Forbidden Planet, even if the Sonic comics in the main UK retailers were the Fleetway universe.
Archie Sonic was also sold in Finland, so I would say it's not just in North America.
I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person. So, are we all assuming there's not going to be an issue in any form next week?
I know we won't be getting any physical copies due to Diamond closing up for now, but I'm not sure how that will affect digital issues?
Hell, I'm not sure how far they got before they were probably forced to stop.
Also, this whole arc now has a lot of painful Reality Subtext, what with corresponding with a real world outbreak and all.
One Strip! One Strip!Indeed, it is uncomfortable. Expect the Reality Subtext to increase.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. One made me laugh= Tamy vs Zomom One made me cry=Greme vs Zeena One made me fearful=Zavok's appearance One's making me excited=Espio vs Zazz
Okay I just started reading this & have just caught & all I can say is daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, this shit is brutal.
Jesus this saga has just been a nail-biter in general, makes me curious what the succeding arcs will be like.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So I just noticed that Issue 28 has been pushed back to the 22nd of this month, as opposed to being next Wednesday.
I'm not shocked. Obviously having the issue come out at this time would be impossible, but still.
One Strip! One Strip!Isn't Diamond shut down right now? They're the comic distributor. I'm not surprised.
May is the last set of issues before the series goes on indefinite hiatus soo...
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I’ve read the hiatus will start at Issue 29.
So right around the final battle too.
One Strip! One Strip!I mean, everything non-digital is on hiatus now.
A while ago I said I didn't want Infinite to return.
I changed my mind, I want him to return... as over-the-top as possible and in a silly manner. He has potential to be an excellent punchline.
But if he is treated seriously... eh, dunno. I imagine Ian can make wonders with him unlike anyone in charge of the main games.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Well, as far as we know, Infinite is blacklisted for the comic by SEGA. Ian has asked to use him, but cant.

Any idea why they would restrict a character like that from being used?
Edited by slimcoder on Apr 6th 2020 at 1:25:01 AM
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."From what I've read, it's not unusual for one-off or side villains. The Black Arms and Eggman Nega were likewise banned. That's the only thing I have to go off.

Yea, Sega is weird; I suppose the logic is not wanting to use characters they themselves have no intention of using.
Hence Deadly six can come back (because Sega INSIST on using them) but not the likes of Nega or Black Doom.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The most baffling restriction to me is apparently the one where male characters barring Eggman, even new ones can’t wear pants.
Like..... why?
Edited by slimcoder on Apr 6th 2020 at 4:32:09 AM
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Sega no longer understands their own series and is slowly spiraling out of control as they get high on pachinko money.
I can't think of any male characters besides Eggman and Infinite that wore pants but yeah that does seem like a strange restriction.
Sega knows what it's doing; what they're doing is trying to enforce Sonic as a brand and keep certain design elements consistent with each other.
Mostly to avoid the comics becoming as balls off the walls crazy as they were when Penders and Bollers were running the show.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Thank goodness Eggman is an exception to the no-pants rule.
The Protomen enhanced my life.
Great news, it looks like the IDW comic will get published in Japanese!
EDIT: More specifically, the IDW Sonic series is coming to Japan starting May 5, 2020!
Hopefully, the Japanese crowd won't have to deal with the delays we're stuck with and they'll have positive things to say about the IDW characters!
