Considering how today's fighting games get away with overpriced single-character DLC that may not even be good, it would take something truly vile for me to dislike a Stylish Action game.
You think so?
Most fighting games charge about $5 & I always thought that was pretty fair.
Consider that for just 1$ you can get an entire Time Attack mode and the rival boss as a full-fledged mode in Wonderful 101 Remastered...
I can understand that logic but to me, that sounds like Platinum being magnanimous.
Apparently that thing about Platinum supposedly going GAAS is due to a mistranslation?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Yes, this was discussed on the last page.
Hideki Kamiya is leaving Platinum on October 12, 2023.
So that Project G.G. thing might be in trouble.

Has anything been said about that one since the announcement? Feels like it had been quietly shelved, honestly.
Wake me up at your own risk. Now that you mention it...no.
Maybe the hype deflated when we got word that it would probably be a games-as-a-service thing, which is very much a guaranteed hype-remover. Case in point, Crystal Dynamics' Avengers game, plus DC's Gotham Knights and the heavily-delayed Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Heck, a video game Twitter suggested that Project G.G. could be in hot water with Kamiya packing it up.
(Maybe Kamiya disapproved the GAAS angle, but the top brass insisted on it, ergo Kamiya just said "screw it" and will probably take G.G. with him?)
So... Does that mean Bayonetta 3 now counts as a (if accidental) Torch the Franchise and Run?
Maybe.
If platinum is still jockeying for a position in the GAAS model after Babylon's Fall though...
Bleye knows Sabers. Is it really torch the franchise when it's the most selling and managed to come out with a game afterwards?
Anyway, I am curious on the behind-the-scenes.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.I wonder if Nintendo would swoop in and buy the company.
-Witty line-PG is not in danger or anything.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. When asked about Project GG, Kamiya said go ask Platinum.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Ah. Well. That's raising my red flags.
RIP Not-Ultraman.
Bleye knows Sabers.Considering we haven't heard anything about it in years, I wouldn't be shocked if the project is shelved.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.It would be ironic if Kamiya ends up back at Capcom somehow and finally gets Okami 2 made.
Watch SymphogearOr better, he starts his own game developing studio (again), and their first project is Okami 2!
Pretty sure Capcom still owns the ip.
Disgusted, but not surprisedYeah, but it'd be like how Masahiro Sakurai's Sora Ltd. is technically its own studio, but still does Smash Bros. stuff for Nintendo.
(Crud, I think I'm losing my point...)

Okamiden was made without former Clover staff.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. So, Kamiya just launched a You Tube channel showing the day he left Platinum Games for good.
He doesn't give a straight answer of why he left other than "I picked the path I thought was right for me" but based on his comments of feeling relieved of leaving "boring" board meetings, it seems that he left because he didn't like his position as part of the higher management in the dev team. He also said he's not retiring from game dev just yet, but he's gonna be on a 1-year pause due to undisclosed reasons.
Nonetheless, he aims to keep the channel for new ideas on what to do onward, all while leaving for the employment service organization; Hello Work... with a fancy red Ferrari.
You can't kill art.
I completely forgot about Astral Chain's existence. Damn, I don't know how much I should prioritize that game?
Anyways, I really do think it depends on how it's executed at the end of the day. I still remember how angry people were at Asura's Wrath did its DLCs, but that's a different can of worms.
