Those like me who are not intimately familiar with Dilbert would not be able to deduce this trope's nature from the name at all. I propose that it be rechristened "Equally Inopportune Employer," since that trope name is sadly not in use yet.

You need to provide evidence that there is confusion or misuse. Since you provided none of that sort, this will be rejected.

To quote Everything You Wanted To Know About Changing Names , "Good arguments for changing an existing name to a new name...includes...names that rely on familiarity with a particular work to make sense."

"Character-Named Tropes used to be standard, but are now deprecated and considered a form of Fan Myopia. Very few characters are iconic enough to truly personify a trope, and these are generally in the dictionary (e.g. Pollyanna); using anyone else risks Popcultural Osmosis Failure. Consider whether there are other fictional characters by that name, whether the character may have other aspects, and how old the work is that the character is from.

This is really a subset of the "unclear" issue outlined earlier. As before, explain how naming this trope after the character is unclear, and be prepared to provide substantial evidence. While a common issue, this isn't automatically a warrant to rename."

Let's pretend you don't know much about the D Ilbert Comic, and you come across a pothole to a trope called "pointy-haired boss." what on Earth would you think the trope was? what kind of pointy hair? is it a boss who dresses like a Goth complete with Bart Simpsion hair?
