I run to where Marlon, Dana, and Guy are. "Hold on! Is this where we sign up?"

No, it's where we do the Hula.

Oh yeah, this is where we sign up, dude.

(I say to Niles.)

Cyk also follows them, ready to be in singles.

"And, we don't have to put our names, right? We can just put an alias?"

Eh, I guess.

You wusses all already use aliases, so now your gonna use another one?

Ripley brushes her mane in thought. "Digletts selling carts... well, I can certainly imagine such a thing, as there is many a surface in this city not made from dirt. Cryptic and inconclusive responses aside, I don't believe I know where she is at this exact moment. I know what inn she's staying at... but it's the same inn you're staying at, so you've likely already checked. I won't claim to know everything that happens in this city. Just most things. Sadly does not extend right to the second. Apologies."

*as Jani digs her way to the library she remembered seeing yesterday† on the way to the office to get her advertising permit, she can't help but reflect on what just happened* (Oh my Groudon I can't believe I survived that...) *she thinks to herself, unsure of if Bella could have OHKO'd her before she could escape*

*with that out of the way, she continues to ponder* (Milklett...that CAN'T be a coincidence. I guess the "lett" really comes from...but I guess they're all dead. Didn't Vox say even guild members who entered Milklett never returned? How did one lone bee waitress survive?)

(I was kinda stretching it with those hunches, but I'm more convinced than ever.)

*nearing the library, Jani continues to decompress all that info as she digs* (Of course, she acts like a fucking politician. If I were to take a guess, she'll be completely open about our little encounter...try to frame herself as the victim. I can't come on so strong with the others...I...need to keep my distance for awhile longer, I suppose...) *a couple splotches in the dirt appear as she sheds a few underground tears*

*confident that she's below the library, she pops up in the middle of some building with a bunch of tables, to the confused stares of the employees* Uh, miss? C-can I uh... *a voice can be heard, but a the pokemon staring at her makes her cheeks flush a bit red, and instinctively drowns out the voices around her*

†Time not wrong: Jani got to Hoard a day before the party. It's about 5x faster for a loner in a self-powered vehicle (compare Bicycles IRL) to get somewhere via roads than a group of people on foot, so she arrived around D8 mid-afternoon.

Guy wrote his name under singles. After some consideration, he decided to change his name to Wiseguy. Then he put Metronome Menace as his title.

Ripley sighs a bit, tightly clenching her claws together behind her back. "You saw how... volatile the Chairgon was during your little... tête-à-tête. And you are aware of the Viral Aggression that has been making its rounds around the island? Well... I fear that the Chairgon may have contracted it himself. He seems to deny the very possibility it might exist, pegging it all on 'madness'... which strikes me as the same thing, but... the business climate in Hoard has gotten somewhat more hostile in the past two weeks or so. As it happens, I also know that you have a guild member in your entourage. Voxno, I believe. An Unown. The bureaucratic corps sent me a copy of your declaration after you entered, and I cross-referenced it with guild associates provided by an undercover guild agent in town... obviously one I keep secret from the Chairgon, because he's so friendly and huggable towards them, he might just suffocate them with a big hug. I want you to relay this to the Unown. If anyone may have a means of determining if my theory has any merit, it's them."

Noriaki signs up under singles.

"I must say, I do like a good competition like this."

Hey, Noriaki, as long as it's friendly but fierce.

Finley looks over at the group in sign-ups and approaches them.

"Hey, guys from my group... if you're entering the tournament, please be careful, okay? I don't want any of you getting too hurt."

(I see Fin approaching us.)

We'll be careful, Fin.

(Liesl nods at the rest of the party and goes off to browse the Bazaar again.)

"No promises!"

Guy frowned a bit as he looked down at Finley. "I think the rest of you should also be careful."

I float outside. "What's this thing about a Tourney? I mean, I would participate, but I don't feel it right now..."

The real reason Wrench is not Joining the tourney is because I'm a busy guy and I can't keep up with every post.

(I still can't help but notice how that Ninetales is missing two of her tails.)
