ITT: We Have All Become Pokémon

[Wait, what are you... I try to trace Beldum's gaze, looking the same way they're looking.]

"...um, Bel, what'ryou...looking at, exactly?"

*Twists and turns, checking everyone's in order.*
(Beat)
*Stares at what Eliot and Beldum are staring at.*

"We have company."

Up ahead, standing stock still at the base of a tree, is a tiny, green, spherical bird. It's staring at the group with the same intensity that the group is now staring at it.

"Psychic company. I believe we are close."

[Yaaaaay, my thoughts aren't safe anymore. Well, they were never safe, considering two of our compatriots, but still.]

"A...Yatu? Izzat what it's called?" [...wait a second...] "Do ya think they're from the village? I wonder if Yalta phoned ahead for us..."

"Hey, little guy. So, where are we?"

Oh, it's just a Natu... At least if there's any trouble, I'm not at a severe disadvantage...

"Ah. Are we in this Orichalcum place already?"

"Xatu...no, Natu. I don't believe they can fly yet, so if it is from the village then it's likely to be close by."

Upon being spoken to the Natu immediately hops back three steps, shifting from stillness to panic in a blink.

A second passes, and it appears to settle down again. It darts between each of the people looking at it, its stare deep enough to reach into the soul. After another moment it speaks, a single word that it's obviously unfamiliar with.

"Huma-n?"

"...?"

Finley turns to the bird, confused.

"Did you just say human?"

"It's a psychic type right? Then maybe it knows something. Are our minds different from other pokemon? What's going on?"

By this point, Mila has caught up with the others. However, after her recent electric attack she hasn't been able to feel a charge building up.

What went wrong? Did I overwork myself? I hope there's some electric pokemon in the town I can ask to help me with my abilities.

(Of course, it's a Psychic pokemon, so it can read our thoughts.)

"Wait, you know we're human? So... do you know how do we got here? Or how do we get back home?"

"Hey, guys, h-hold up, let's let it speak first." [Let's keep this upcoming flood of questions at a dripfeed, thank you.]

"Oh, okay. Sorry."

"Wait. Hold up. Did you just-"

(Most of our motley crew are silent at times... I'm assuming they just silently follow along.)

"Human."

It turns to Oz first. Its stare is piercing, and unwavering.

"Oz."

It switches to F, and for a moment F will be able to feel a slight push of psychic energy against their mind. The moment the force meets resistance, it retreats.

Finally, the Natu's gaze rests on Finley. For the first time its unflinching gaze wavers, as it struggles to understand the alien concept nestled within the human's mind.

"Jojo?"

Without another word it turns and hops down the forest path. After a few hops it halts, and turns back to face the group. Cyber, F, and Beldum all pick up a faint psychic wavelength, silently urging them to follow.

"Jojo?" I snickered.

I curiously nudged the bird slightly with my snout. This little thing could be the key to changing us back...or me, anyway, since the others didn't seem too unhappy with their new forms.

"JoJ-"

Dammit, they KNOW.

"They know my name... yep, they're a Psychic alright."

Hey guys, I've caught back up. What's that Natu telling us?
